Grand Canyon Rafting Trip from Las Vegas

Las Vegas, United States of America

Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Raft down the mighty Colorado River along the Grand Canyon's sheer cliffs. Also included in this exciting day trip from Las Vegas is a 4,000-foot (1,200-meter) helicopter transfer to the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Get an early start from Las Vegas and head out to the Hualapai land at the Grand Canyon. Arriving at Peach Springs in Arizona, you will then continue on to the Colorado River for your 5.5-hour white-water rafting adventure.

Your native Hualapai guide will guide you through class 3 to class 6 rapids on your 40-mile (64km) journey through the Grand Canyon. Stops are made throughout the trip so you can discover hidden canyons and waterfalls, including Tavertine Waterfall. A boxed lunch is included which you can enjoy in the solitude of the canyon. Be sure to bring your camera for incredible photo opportunities!

At the conclusion of your rafting tour, board a 6-seater A-Star helicopter for your short transfer 4,000 feet to the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Return to the lights of Las Vegas by air-conditioned van, arriving at approximately 7:00-8:00pm.

This tour is likely to sell out so book early!

Note: The Grand Canyon operates on a 1-10 scale of rapids vs the worldwide I-VI classification

Excellent trip, this was the highlight of our Las Vegas stay. We were picked up promptly from our hotel as pre arranged. Our driver Jennifer was brilliant, despite the fact we were unsure if the trip was going ahead due to heavy thunderstorms which had washed out the road that lead to the canyon. Prepare to get very wet and cold, but that is to be expected while rafting. The highlight for us was climbing up through the caves to find the hidden waterfall and the short helicopter ride from the base to the top. All in all great fun and by far the best way to see the Grand Canyon!!

Awesome, Amazing, Adventurous, Authentic_br/_ Would have to be the highlight of my 4 week US holiday. A great Tour company who delivered on all that they promised and the rest was up to me._br/_ Highly recommended if you want to experience the Grand Canyon from being down right in it and if you happen to be a front seat passenger on the raft it is invigorating and refreshing!_br/_ Robyn New Zealand

great trip, long day. food good but very hot, no shelter where we stopped for lunch. Maybe would have done the skywalk if had realised we were right nearby when we returned on the helicopter.had to waite a long time in heat for helicopter trip but was overall a good experience. Phones the company before we went and were very helpful and our driver was excellent. Difficult to know what and who to tip and would be best if included

The trip was good value for money. We were picked up by a friendly driver and taken to our destination. Unfortunately there was only the option of a McDonald's for breakfast as we were short of time. The tour operator had not put me in the same group as my sister which was specificed on the booking, although they were happy to change this. After a bumpy ride on a dilapidated bus we reached the river. From here on in it was brilliant and an amazing way to see the grand canyon. Photos were taken at strategic points which could be purchased at a very reasonable cost. I would so much have preferred a digital CD of all the group pics (done on most other rafting trips) which I would have paid more for. I would recommend this trip.

Overall this was a brilliant experience and a very worthwhile trip. You have to be willing to get up very early (or not go to sleep at all), be driven for a few hours, have a bumpy coach-ride into the canyon, get very wet and, at times, surprisingly cold - especially if, like me, you end up at the front of your boat. However, the up-sides make it very worthwhile. The views of the canyon are stunning, the rides through the rapids exhilarating and the helicopter ride very memorable. Our guide gave us a good experience and tour, although was quite surly and unhelpful - especially when one of our party needed a few minutes to search for sunglasses that fell in by the riverbank when moored-up for lunch. However, others in our bus were very happy with their guides. (Tip: bring something to tie on hats and sunshades - we used shoelaces!). Our driver to and from our Vegas hotel was very helpful and courteous. Don't forget to tip those guys.......

We had a great time rafting. Had a wonderful guide (Blackfeather) who also gave us a history lesson about the Colorado River. Not to mention the tasty lunch they had provided for us on the river. I would recommend this trip to everyone. The only thing missing was the beer!!!!

The Rafting Trip was very good and well worth taking part in. It was a long day but worth it, the rapids were fun. Surprisingly even though the weather was very hot the water was freezing!! The group were brilliant too._br/_ My only complaint was I thought we were going to fly over and see the Grand Canyon however we purely took an awful helicopter flight from the river bed to the top of the rock face of the river bed. Apparently the Grand Canyon was still nearly 2 miles away from where we were dropped off for the end of our trip. I felt a little cheated by this, all that wait yet so far, it that is the West Rim oh what a big rim it is. I am not sure I would have paid the amount for what we actually did. :-(

Of all the trips we have done over the years, this rates as the best. The excitement was immense, especially when hitting the rapids. Our Indian guide was a little sweetheart and very kind. Truly wonderful day. Prepare to get very wet!

This was a one in a lifetime experience. I feel the cost was too much for what you got. Also I feel that the proper attire should have been provided to participants such as a wet suit. Also our trip was to end with a helicopter ride which didn't happen because of too much wind and then caused us to longer on the water which we were cramped up on the one end of the book wet and cold. Since the trip did include a helicopter ride out of the canyon and was part of the payment, I feel we should have been reimbursed for that portion of the trip. I was not our fault that the helicopter portion could not be done so, I would of liked to have been reimbursed for that portion. I am going to look into that. Overall, it was fun but not $460 fun.

Amazing, incredible, so much fun! The water is cold all year even though the temp in the canyon was 100 degrees...our raft guide Louis was amazing and so informative, there is 8 in a raft. You stop off at a cave to view a waterfall, you do have to climb 2 rope ladders, and it is slippery and we had a really hot day, but if the surface temp is cooler as the water is so cold. The stop for dinner is fun, we even stopped at a small beach, helicopter out depends on surface winds, and if too strong you continue for another hour in raft. The driver from Las Vegas, Jennifer was amazing guide, and we stopped on route 66 for photos, and because we were on time we went back via the Hoover dam, (getting there means you travel on new bridge which is designed purposely so you cant see dam, they don't want people stopping taking photos). Take money, for tips for drivers and guides but also you can buy photos of trip back at Indian reservation.....amazing day, so much fun

Had a great time. Only wish we could have gone to an overlook once on top of the canyon and/or spent more time in the helicopter. The rafting was a blast, just be prepared to get wet-and the water is cold! The van driver who took us there was great and had a lot of knowledge of the area we were in and traveling to. The gift shop at the final destination was very nice and very reasonable. Overall it was a great experience. So glad we did it.

Despite it being the end of the season (late October) and the weather being a little poor, the trip itself was a lot of fun and a highlight of the holiday for our party. Jenny, the driver was excellent. She was helpful, friendly, and when we finally got back through the washed out roads and storm to the van, had snacks and went out of her way for us. She deserved an award. If you are not going in good weather, take wet weather clothes, my wet shorts and teeshirt meant I was getting very chilly towards the end. I would certainly advise anyone to try it as a fun and original way to see the canyon, much better than a helicopter ride!

Trip, wonderful and would recommend it to anyone, however while the rapids were fantastic and the scenery great it did become a little boring through the 20 miles of calm river with no more rapids to look forward to. Helicopter ascent and ride back to Vegas was fine. An experience to treasure forever.

Long but very enjoyable experience. Spectacular scenery amid a fun day.Was a little disappointed that the helicopter trip out didn't do at least a little bit of a circuit over the actual rim of the canyon.

Really enjoyed the trip, it is good fun and the only way to see the colarado river. Unfortunately found out whilst on the trip that we had paid almost double what the other people had paid- which put a real dampner on it.

Amazing day! A well organised trip with friendly and helpfull staff. The pickup from our hotel was on time and it was an interesting trip to the canyon. A very mixed group of people on the boats, all lighthearted. The rapids were great fun, got very wet! But that was welcome as extremley hot. Stops along the river were awesome.Ending with an exciting helecopter trip. In all a fantastic day that is well remembered.
