Grand Canyon West Rim Day Trip by Coach, Helicopter and Boat with Optional Skywalk

Las Vegas, United States of America

Travel by coach, helicopter and boat on an action-packed day trip to the Grand Canyon West Rim. It's one of the Las Vegas tours you can't miss! You'll ride a helicopter beneath the rim, cruise down the Colorado River, stop at the Hualapai Ranch for a cowboy cookout, and take a scenic drive along the Grand Canyon West Rim after lunch.

Your journey begins with an approximate 3.5-hour drive by luxury air-conditioned motor coach to the Grand Canyon West Rim. At the Grand Canyon, you'll hop aboard a million-dollar A-Star, six-seater helicopter with large vista windows and take a five-minute, slow descent to the Grand Canyon floor, approximately 4,000 feet (1, 200 meters) down!

Once you've reached the canyon floor, you'll board a pontoon boat for a ride down the Colorado River! You'll glide along the walls of the mighty Grand Canyon for approximately 15 minutes, then fly back up to the rim for a shuttle bus tour to Guano Point and Eagle Point.

At Eagle Point, you can view the Hualapai Indian Village and purchase handmade crafts and jewelry to take home with you. Guano Point affords a bird's-eye view of the canyon. Next stop is the Hualapai Ranch for a cowboy cookout! After lunch and a short scenic drive along the Grand Canyon West Rim, you'll head back to Las Vegas by luxury coach.

The fleet of luxury motor coaches are climate controlled and equipped with restrooms, reclining seats, video monitors and over-sized windows for your comfort and convenience

Grand Canyon Skywalk Upgrade:
The latest attraction at the West Rim of the Grand Canyon is the glass bridge called the Skywalk. Perched 4,000 feet above the Colorado River, the Skywalk safely sits over the edge of the canyon for panoramic 360 degree views. Photographs are available to purchase in the gift shop after your walk.

Great tour, the Grand Canyon is definitely worth seeing. Only thing with this tour option, helicopter and boat, you do not have time to go to the ranch which is one of the four stops you can go to at the West Rim?

An amazing experience and a day out to remember. The transport was well organised and the guide very funny. We thoroughly enjoyed the helicopter ride and the boat on the river. The pilot was very skilled since it was quite a windy day. The Skywalk was great although it was a little disappointing not to be able to take our own photos as the ones they took were quite expensive. The food was good and there were options depending on where you decided to eat. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Don't miss any part of it!

The Grand Canyon Trip was wonderful but the pick up from the Hotel was chaotic as there was no indication or information as to which bus was relevant

The organisation of Viator and its representatives was supperb, but the long delays on the helicopter and boat ride took up two hrs of our time and we did not manage to get to the ranch for any lunch. Main delay was waiting out in the cold for the helicopter. Also had we known that the coach to skywalk then went on to another view point before returning to the main area we would have gone to the ranch instead of skywalk. Four of our helicopter group were late back to the main coach park because of the delays we had. But we had a great time.

My husband and I had a fantastic day on this trip and would highly recommend it to anyone. The booking itself was easy to do and the service we received before the trip was excellent. Mike our bus driver was very amusing and made our trip very funny and interesting, Checking in for the helicopter and boat ride was quick and we recommend this part of the trip as the views of the Grand Canyon were amazing. We had a half an hour wait for the Skywalk but again was worth the wait as the views were amazing. It was quite cold this day so would advise people to take some warn clothing. All in all it was a brilliant day which we would highly recommend.

A very full day. Had to leave hotel about 5.30am and did not return until around 7.15pm. However, it's an experience we would not have missed. If we hadn't booked in advance we think, we may have chickened out of the early start and the skywalk. So really pleased we booked.

WOW and WOW again! Dwayne the driver was a hoot! All connections were seamless, everyone polite and helpful. Take insect repellant, I was bitten to death on the river in February! This did not spoil a fantastic day however.

Great day but just be aware if you do the helicopter and boat ride you do not have time to go to the ranch for lunch . We did not do the skywalk option .They tell you this when you arrive .A little disappointing.

We were picked up from the hotel in the morning and were then transferred to the Grand Canyon West coach. Our Coach Driver "Big O" was funny and very knowledgeable. We had an extremely good ride on the coach. We were then dropped off at the Canyon West to catch shuttle to the three different points. Eagle point and Guano points are extremely beautiful. It just give you a kick. The helicopter ride was smooth and quick. We landed in to the Canyon and were directed to the boat ride. Our boat ride driver made us feel comfortable and even took some pictures. Grand Canyon is a must watch for everybody. The customer experience we recivied from the staff was unsurpassable. I would recommend them any day.

This is a very commercial operation that drains your day but doesn't give you enough time to enjoy the things you're really there to see. The breakfast provided was substandard and served by some of the saddest people I have ever seen. The bus driver was fantastic, but the "luxury bus" promised was not really so. For the last hour, we also had to transfer onto older buses that are so dusty that whenever the bus went over a bump (on the dirt road), a shower of the brown stuff would fall from the ceiling panels. The many attractions we were brought to had long wait times and so when we were at each attraction, there was actually very little time to enjoy the place properly. As we took the Boat, Helicopter and Skywalk option, we had no time at all to even go catch a glimpse of the ranch at the Grand Canyon reserve. Overall, this tour will let you see a bit of each but for those looking for a more authentic and relaxed experience, I would recommend doing some more research and exploring tour options with small tour groups (20 max), less activities, and perhaps flying from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon to save time (you can see the landscape when you arrive).

The trip was wonderful. However, I did find it confusing to make several stops to change buses. I wasn't always sure I understood where to meet the next bus. However, I don't know that there is a way to change that. By they way, we had a wonderful driver. He was entertaining.

I will start off by saying the Grand Canyon was spectacular. The trip as a whole not so much. _br/_ The morning pick up went smoothly at the hotel. Our bus picked up people from only three hotels it took less than half an hour. We got to the bus terminal where we checked in and were loaded on to the buses that would be taking us to the West Rim. This process took an hour. I have to say this was not a luxury coach. It was a double Decker with only one TV that my partner could not see. The chairs did recline. We arrived about 40 mins from our destination where we were put on another bus to travel down the dirt road that remained. We waited again for the other buses to arrive before leaving. When we arrived at the west rim we were dropped off at the helicopter terminal which was very busy where we waited more than half an hour for our helicopter tour. The helicopter and boat part of the tour were amazing! Once back at the terminal we had less than two hours to see the two remaining view points and eat lunch before getting back to board our bus and go back to Las Vegas. The Trip home was fine except that my partner could not see the movie. The worst part of the trip was the hotel drop off once back in Vegas. It was a night mare. We dropped people off at three hotels and then more than half of us were loaded onto another bus where there were not enough seats for everyone and it took almost two hours from the time we entered the city till the time we were dropped off at our hotel._br/_ Next time I will just rent a car and buy the tour package I want from the West Rim. Instead of spending more than half the day waiting in line and for buses etc.

We booked to have the helicopter decent to the Colorado River, a boat ride on the river and the Skywalk as well as visiting the viewpoints on the west rim. It was a busy and long day but well worth the time and effort. The lunch was good with plenty of choice and the tour guides were helpful and fun. I would definately recommend this trip

Outstanding! Waking up at 4am was worth it to cram all the activities in. Tour guide fabulous, make sure to tip handsomly. Helicopter part amazing and definitely the highlight. Skywalk no queues, and breathtaking. Local tribe very friendly and proud of their national treasure. Only feedback was tour was a little disorganised and there was confusion at times about which buses to take and where/when but you tend to catch on fairly quickly - just follow the crowd that have the same coloured stickers as you! Overall, magnificent, superb and would definitely recommend.

Disappointing. Took 6 hour overall, travelling from pick-up to arrival at Grand Canyon. Due to inclement weather helicopter and boat cancelled and Skywalk closed. Due to heavy rain only managed to get to one view point. Lunch at the ranch was disappointing also. Eventually managed to get a reasonable refund from Viator who were very good. Grand Canyon is awesome but rather then book in advance you would probably be better to book last minute when you have some idea of weather conditions. Unless you have good weather its a waste of time and money. Our coach driver 'Dwain' was brilliant and cheered us up no end.

AWESOME and worth EVERY penny. If you want to see as much of the GC as is humanly possible in 1d: this is your tour. GCWT kept us appraised of everything during the trip (even suggesting an 'itinerary' on-the-ground to maximize time). Total time at GCW was approx 4h-- which is time to do most everything (heli, boat, lunch, Eagle and Guano Pts). I would also recommend you eat lunch at Guano: the food was very good and the portions were ginormous. Would HIGHLY recommend and would do again.

We took this trip whilst on a 4 night stay in Las Vegas. It was fantastic ! We were collected on time from our hotel in the pickup bus then taken to a marshalling point where we were given a thorough but short briefing before being fed and allocated the coach (1 of 4) for our particular toour._br/_ The coach journey to the rim took over three hours but passed very quickly with the on board cabaret which was our driver Duane. The Flight into the canyon and boat ride were very special and all staff were helpful and polite._br/_ There is a good selection of food provided which was plentiful and of good quality._br/_ We were dropped off at our hotel about 7.30pm(started at 6.15am ) A long but very satisfying day thoroughly recommended._br/_ A word of advice .... were sensible footwear and take layers of clothing it can be hot (or cold )

This trip was terrible. We were picked up at the hotel at 6 am. Then we all met in the office, where we had to change the bus. After 3 hours on the bus we have to change the bus again. Overall It took 6 (!!!) hours to get to the Grand Canyon. When we were there we were told that we will have 3,5 hours for all activites. That was less time then we thought we would have. We were although told to wait in line to get seats on the helicopter. We waited another hour with a lot of people. The flight in the helicopter was amazing and the boat trip was great, too. We had a really nice guide there. After the helicopter flight we had only 1 hour before we had to be back on the bus. So we jumped into the shuttle bus and made a 5 minute stop at Eagle Point then we took the next bus to go to Guano Point. There we had lunch and took photos of the Grand Canyon. Then we waited 20 minutes for the next shuttle bus to go back to the bus parking. We had no time to see the ranch and we really had to run a lot to get everything done. They really lie to us at the beginning of the day when they told us that we can do the helicopter, see all attractions and do the skywalk (if we want to). We were really disappointed. On the way back we had to change the bus twice. It took another 6 (!!!) hours to go back to our hotel. That means that we spend 14 hours just waiting and driving and only 2 hours seeing the Grand Canyon.

Excellent trip with lots to see - the helicoper ride is definitely worth it. But there's only 3 hours at the Grand Canyon. The helicopter tour was 1 hour and 15 mins so you have to budget your time to stop at the 2 other viewpoints and have lunch to make sure you see everything.

Overall was a good day in seeing the Grande Canyon however our 12 hour day turned into a 14 hour day as we were the first picked up in the morning and last dropped off at night. If you were flying out on an International flight that evening you would have missed it. The order of turning people at night to the various hotels should be reversed. The five bus changes that occured during the course of the day were very annoying and unsettling. There was no mention anywhere about the 80-100 metre goat track that an ederly couple like us had to negotiate to and from the heli pad for the colarado river boat ride. It was hot and you need to be fit to do this part of the tour. Prior warning to prospective customers of the future would be advisable.

It is realy worth taking this trip. However, do not get trapped and do not order the Skywalk. You will not have any time to see other places and after the helicopter trip it's only waste of money... We wanted to get to the ranch for lunch, but instead got hungry, since there was not enough time for that...
