Penn and Teller at the Rio Suite Hotel and Casino

Las Vegas, United States of America

Penn and Teller's live show has been a hit on Broadway and now has a permanent home in Las Vegas at the Rio Suite Hotel and Casino. Known for their outrageous blending of comedy and magic, which often stretches the boundaries of traditional magic, this iconoclastic pair's live show on any given night can involve knives, guns, a fire-eating showgirl and a duck. Known as the "Bad Boys of Magic," for supposedly revealing the secrets to their tricks, they may show you how it's done, but they still manage to leave you startled!

Their weekly hit Showtime series, Penn and Teller: BS! as well as their Emmy-winning network specials and their legendary appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, had Entertainment Weekly name them two of the funniest comedians alive. While Penn and Teller is a magic show, it does contain adult content and may not be suitable for children.

The show was good. I wish I had ordered the tickets sooner - maybe the seats would have been better. It would have been better to be in the orchestra section rather than the balcony.

Fab show! Didn't get chance to work out how things were done. They happened that quick. We had great seats to - Row D and luckily didn't get picked on when they came down into the audience!

I was luke-warm about this initially but a friend persuaded me to go. Afterwards I can honestly say how good this show was. Magic, Comedy and audience interaction - Fabulous.

How do they do it?! Excellent show. We were sitting only a few rows from the front and could not see how the magic was done. We saw seven shows in Las Vegas in total and I would rate this as the second best we saw. Arrive early for the jazz show before the main show, which is not advertised. Does the bass player look familiar?

Fantastic - great night, great seats and great show. Penn and Teller signed autographs and allowed pictures in the foyer at the end of the show. Was a real good night, and the Rio is a lovely hotel and easy to get to. I had read that people had to collect their tickets for the show early in the day. We arrived about an hour before the show and got our tickets with no problems.

I loved the show. Seats were very close to the stage. If you go before the show, Penn plays the bass guitar. After the show, they go out front for pictures and autographs. For someone who has been a fan since I was 10, show was amazing.

Worth doing if you can be bothered to travel to the Rio twice in one day; tickets need to be collected hours before the show starts! Nice that you could meet them after and get a picture and autograph.

These two have too much money and not enough talent. Some of the tricks I have seen street vendors do for spare change.
Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

Most of what they did I had seen before on the TV. But still - nice to see it in the flesh.

I was really impressed with this show. We had great seats, right in the middle of the theater with the best views of the stage. Even though they explained how they did some of their tricks, I was still baffled. The tricks that floored me were the goldfish, reading people's minds and the finale - catching bullets - it really has to be seen to be believed! These guys are amazing..

The Penn and Teller show was full of surprises! They have a unique way of combining magic and their own brand of humor. If you have seen their TV show, you will not be disappointed. The tricks and illusions are interesting, funny and artful. I was very impressed with the Penn and Teller show. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
