Lisbon City by Night and Fado Restaurant Dinner

Lisbon, Portugal

See Lisbon's beauty at night on an illuminations sightseeing tour. Relax on a comfortable coach and see Lisbon's main landmarks illuminated at night, such as Marqués de Pombal Square, Rossio Square, the 25th of April Bridge and the Monument to the Discoveries. Take in views of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites of Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower, then head to central Lisbon to enjoy a Portuguese dinner with live Fado music and a folk dance performance.

Head to central Lisbon on your own or enjoy free pickup at your hotel, and meet your local guide for a unique way of experiencing Lisbon.

Start your Lisbon illuminations evening tour at Marqués de Pombal Square, where a monument to the Marquis of Pombal stands as a memorial to the important role the marquis played in Lisbon's rebirth in 1755. From your coach, see the beautiful square while hearing interesting details about Portuguese history, including the 1755 earthquake that destroyed two-thirds of the city.
See Lisbon lighting up on the drive along the Avenue da Liberdade, Lisbon's main avenue. Experience Lisbon coming to life at the end of the day as you approach Rossio Square, one of the liveliest areas of the city and located in the heart of Lisbon.

Continue along the waterfront to the Belém district, home to the famous Monument to the Discoveries, dedicated to the greatest Portuguese explorers, and the Belém Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage monument that commemorates Portugal's role in the discovery of the Americas. In this area, you will also see the Jerónimos Monastery, another UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, where many great figures of Portuguese history rest.

Admire views of the 25th of April Bridge -- a suspension bridge spanning the Tagus River -- and see Lisbon's reflections on the water from your comfortable coach on the drive back to central Lisbon.

After your tour of Lisbon at night, follow your guide to a traditional Portuguese restaurant. Sit back and enjoy a delicious Portuguese meal (included), while listening to a live Fado performance (Portugal's own music genre) and a folk dance show. The show finishes at midnight, but you may return to your hotel at your leisure.

It was a great cultural experience. Having diner while the performance was taking place.

Very tasty food served in the Fado restaurant and -above all- excellent the Fado music and dancers. Fado music is so nice and charming as the Tango for Argentina (I love BOTH)._br/_ What was not so brillant was the your guide speaking about Lisbon at night, it was a little boring and almost he did not allow any question

This was not such a great tour. The tour guide did not like her job you can obviously tell. Everything was rushed. It was as if they got your money already, so they don't really care.

The bus pick up and return service was good. The restaurant was not very good - food quality was below average and they had us packed in there so tight we could hardly turn. Their tables were also very small.
Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

Don't even bother. The tour operators while friendly were completely disorganized. The tour consisted of driving around in the coach passing by the sites mentioned at a speed where you could barely get a view let alone any pictures. If you're looking to get pictures of the sites on this tour, keep your camera in its case, as I mentioned you DRIVE by the sites, you will not leave the coach until you reach the restaurant. The restaurant charming, staff and performers put allot of effort into the evening but the food and production line feel left me feeling like I was being rushed. All in all the value just isn't in this tour. If you want a driving tour of the city, you can hire a taxi and get the same result at a fraction of the cost. If you want a more enjoyable Fado experience, ask your hotel for a location that locals frequent, not a location the bus and boat loads go to. Viator, please adjust your description of the tour, had I known I would not get off the coach to see the sites I would have signed up for a different tour. I am seriously disappointed, not in the money spent but the time Ive lost on this tour when I could have spent it on something more memorable.

For the price of this tour, the food left a lot to be desired and the Fado singers were not very good. It would be OK at 14 the price.

Lack of concern on clients, the car air conditioning was shut off because the tour guide did not want it on. No hotel pick up provided as inscribed on the voucher and on the Viator add for the particular activity.

This is an absolutely must-do tour. The Lisbon by Night tour was terrific, but I have to admit that the highlight for us was the opportunity to experience a Fado.

Thought this was a big waste of money. The bus driver didn't even slow down long enough to take pictures. The restaurant food was only so-so, with no choices. Bus driver had to translate into too many languages.
