London Eye and Thames River Sightseeing Cruise

London, United Kingdom

Roll up, roll up. Get your combined tickets to two of London's top attractions: a trip on the London Eye and a Thames River sightseeing cruise. You'll save money on the deal and enjoy a day of panoramic sightseeing in London, the world's greatest city.

London Eye
The London Eye is one of the world's tallest observation wheels, with views over London from more than 442 feet (135 meters) in the air. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, it offers unrivalled panoramic vistas over London.

Since opening at the turn of the century, the London Eye has become an iconic landmark, up there with Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and the Tower of London. It has been used as a backdrop in countless films and is loved by Britons and visitors alike.

Thames River Sightseeing Cruise
The best way to see the sights and splendor of this great city is from the deck of a boat. Aboard the sightseeing cruise, you'll travel in comfort and style past London's world-famous landmarks. The boats have open upper decks for great sightseeing and comfortable lower saloons. Relax and enjoy the views, onboard commentary, light refreshments and full bar service as London's famous sights glide by.

The cruise departed from Waterloo Pier, but it's a 40 minutes round tour only, with a guide giving a full (and amusing) explanation about London attractions and its river. The departure time can be defined when retrieving the tickets in the London Eye ticket desk.

The London Eye was fun, but the best part was the cruise along the Thames. Our guide had a working knowledge about the buildings and architecture along our cruise, the bridges, neighborhoods, even the seasonal water levels of the Thames itself! Our cruise began at Westminster and ended at the Tower of London. Great photos, fascinating history, lovely afternoon - we highly recommend!

Bought the combined ticket in advance. Had trouble finding the pier (were redirected several times). Also found it expensive. Could have been my mistake but was under the impression that we would stop at several piers and could hop off - only had three stops sos felt confined.

Would have been helpful if we had been told where to pick up our tickets and if you could have organized for it not to rain. But the experience of being in the pod and the views were spectacular.

We did the London Eye on our first day and really enjoyed it. Some of our best pictures were from this and it's a great way to see the area and orient yourself. There's no skipping the queue on this ride. We didn't use the Sightseeing Cruise pass at all because they closed down pretty early so that was kindof a a waste plus it's included in the London Pass. Would have just gone with the London Eye in hindsight.

London Eye was a good experience. The boat cruise was o.k. The wait in line to redeem the prepaid voucher and get the ticket and the wait again to get on the London Eye was a little long and can be tiring because of the crowds. I thought that by booking on line I would bypass waiting in line to get the ticket. However, on-line booking only gives you a prepaid voucher which you have to wait in line anyway to redeem it for the ticket. However, the line for the prepaid voucher was shorter than the line for the people with no prepaid vouchers.

It worked out real well getting both in advance. it would have been even better if we knew to go to the Cruise office and not the Eye to redeem the both tickets.

Helpful to be able to buck the line. You have to pay extra to buck the line for the London Eye. River cruise was nice.

The adventure was what we expected it to be. The line for the Eye was not what we expected... we waited for over an hour to get on the eye so be aware that you need to pencil in sufficient time to get this done. It is worth doing the eye.

The cruise was excellent with a chatty, informative talk by a crew member as we went along the Thames. The Eye iself was not as spectacular a ride as I was expecting so I wouldn't feel bad if you miss it.Do the cruise however.

The entire experience was awesome. This is the second time we experienced LONDON EYE. The cruise was outstanding and the person announcing the specail places was knowledgeable and interesting. If we return to London again, we will sign up again for these two events.

The ride on the London Eye was awe inspiring and nothing short of spectacular, despite the below zero temperature and freezing rain! Having read all the consumer reviews on Viator prior to booking, and taking note that picking up the tickets from the opposite side of the river, where the Thames river ride leaves, made everything effortless. Also, getting on the ride close to when it opens in the morning made our wait minimal, around 20 minutes or less. As we pre-booked the tickets for the Eye and the Thames river ride, we were happy to learn that we could change the date for the ride on the Eye to an open ticket, but the Thames river ride was not changeable, so we did the river ride that afternoon and came back the following morning for the Eye. We found the Thames river ride to be very interesting for the first part of the journey, but the second half was quite boring, not too much of interest to see. It didn't help that it was freezing rain and the windows were steamy on the boat, but that didn't affect opinion on the first part of the ride!
