London in One Day Sightseeing Tour

London, United Kingdom

On the London in One Day Sightseeing Tour, you will explore the very best of London on a fully-guided tour. You'll take a scenic drive through the West End and City past famous sights such as Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square, see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of St Paul's Cathedral, visit the Tower of London and cruise on the River Thames. For those not ready for the day to finish, upgrade your tour to include a flight on the London Eye!

Your full-day tour begins with a panoramic drive around Parliament Square to Westminster Abbey, where many of England's kings, queens, statesmen, poets and writers are buried. Other famous London sights you'll see on your guided tour include Big Ben and the neo-Gothic Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Downing Street and Trafalgar Square, watched over by Nelson's Column.

After watching the famous Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace in all its colorful pageantry, it's time to eat a hearty lunch (additional cost) at a traditional English pub in Trafalgar Square. After lunch, take a tour of St. Paul's Cathedral and see Mansion House (home to the Lord Mayor of London) and the nearby Bank of England, known as the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street, in the heart of the old City.

Next stop is the Tower of London, the ancient fortress steeped in centuries of murder and treason, guarded by jet-black ravens. The splendidly dressed Beefeaters will tell you about the Tower's history, including tragic tales of royals and nobles who met their end within its walls. The Tower of London is also and home to the priceless "Crown Jewels", including the enormous Cullinan diamonds and the extraordinary Koh-i-Noor. Finally join a Thames River cruise for great views of the Houses of Parliament, London Eye and London's famous bridges.

Do you want to pre-book ticket to the London Eye?
Upgrade your London in One Day Sightseeing Tour to include a London Eye flight, and continue your days sightseeing independently. From the London Eye, you'll have panoramic views over the whole city from a unique and memorable vantage point!

Paul's Cathedral will be closed to the public on February 1, 22 (Ash Wednesday), March 6, and April 6 (Good Friday), 2012. On these dates, there will be a photo stop outside the Cathedral and the tour spends longer at the Tower of London.

It was great! They picked us up on time and we had a wonderful day. The only snag is you had their phone number wrong on the ticket so it was a bit of a problem getting ahold of them...you had an extra "7" in the middle of the number. We had a great visit.

Very good tour with very good guides who had a passion for their city which came across. Saw plenty which made the London Pass a little redundant

This tour is fantastic! My wife and I had a limited time in London and this gave us a marvellous overview of the whole city. The tour company tours is professional and the guides are knowledgeable and very friendly. I can't recommend this tour enough. Tip: if you can, book this tour on a weekend day, there's much less traffic and you'll get to see a lot more!

So much piled into one day! It was fabulous. Our tour guide, Trudy, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I would do it again if only to spend time learning from her! I will definitely recommend this tour to others.

This was a informative tour and provided a good way of getting an understanding of the layout of the city before we began our specific sight seeing. We were picked-up from our hotel (bonus - not to worry about getting to the starting point)._br/_ The coach provided by the Evans and Evans Co. was immaculate and the coach captain (Paul) excellent.Richard the guide was very informative. This is a good day but a very long day.

The tour was quite rushed. We were taken to the various sites but were left to see most of them on our own. We also ended the tour at the Tower of London and a very short river cruise and were not aware until we started the tour that we had to make our own way home at the end of the day. The tour gave us an idea what was worth seeing in London but the design of the tour needs to be improved. The guide was very knowledgable and the driver fabulous.

My daughter and I only had 2 days in London before moving on to Spain. If your time is limited in London and you wish to see all you can see this is the Sightseeing tour to book. The coach picked us up right at our hotel door and from there we went to Victoria station to meet up with the rest of the people who would be touring with us. Luckily instead of the usually full bus we only had 7 people with our group. Trevor was our guide and a wonderful one at that. Besides being adorable cute he was so informative about London that I hung on every word he said about his wonderful city. We did everything the tour said it does and after the tour was over late in the day our group had become so close that we all continued hanging out together the rest of the evening and are now emailing one another. This was by far the best tour I have been on when my time was short. I recommend it to anyone planning on visiting London. Lanier Jones, Maryland USA

A good overview of historic sights with a knowledgeable guide. Some problems in arranging hotel pick up and directions were not clear for getting to the starting point on our own. It was nice however to have a small group so that individual questions and interaction with the guide were possible. Pleasant bus driver added to the tour.

This trip was a great overview of London with stops at some of the major sites. Our guide Sheila was highly informative and entertaining! Yes, we could've taken buses from place to place for less money, but we would've wasted lots of time finding the right buses and not have known any of the historical significance and side stories that the great guide provided. She also told us to stay on the boat after the river cruise docked the first time, as it would cross the river to dock at the Eye right afterwards. The boat people never mentioned that, so without her tip, we would've probably gotten off with everyone else and been on the wrong side of the river. The ride around the Eye as night was falling at the end of the river cruise was spectacular! And having just done the tour, many places were easy to pick out from on high!

Tour was great and the weather cooperated! London was very crowded but Trudy our guide was fun, humorous and a seasoned veteran with the history as well as crowd control! Paul the driver was wonderful as well.....how he manages a bus through those streets was masterful. A very excellent way to get a snapshot tour of London._br/_ One negative...the recommended pub we went to for lunch basically ignored us completely for 30 minutes and showed no interest in our time limit and level of hospitality. Go eat elsewhere!

My family and I enjoyed this tour a bunch. It was great to get an overall view of London. The walking part seemed a bit rushed though. We just needed to slow down the tour guide a bit. She would take off before everyone got off the bus, so you might miss some commentary, but overall it was a great overview.

The tour is targeted for anyone visiting London for the first time. We did not get to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, instead we seen some disappointing horse parade. The absolute worst part of the tour was the lunch. Do not buy the lunch, by far the worst tasting food I have ever had! I would not recommend this tour, it was too expensive for what we got. We would have had a better time just seeing the sites on our own. The transportation system in London is fantastic.

This tour was very good with a good tour guide that was able to answer any questions asked about the sights. Again, it would be easier to be dropped off at pick up point, especially for people who are not familiar with the area.

This was a great tour and we saw a lot in a day. Most of the morning was spent in the bus seeing some of the sights like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, Prince Albert's memorial and the Victoria and Albert museum, Harrods and more. Then we went to Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard. Our expert guide Richard told us where to stand for the best view and great pictures. After lunch it was on to St Paul's Cathedral. Amazing! The wisteria was in bloom along one wall on our way in. The stained glass, the ceilings, the dome, the crypt - all fascinating. It is a Must See. Our next stop was the Tower of London with it's gory history, the ravens and their story and of course the crown jewels. Our boat cruise on the Thames ended the day with great views of Big Ben and the London Eye.

What a great tour compay. The guide was very knowledgeable and funny. She really showed interest in us and tried to help us after the tour to find transportation back to the hotel. She even made lunch reservations for the group, which wasn't on her job role. Really had a great time. The tour bus was very warm and fancy.
