Skip the Line: Kensington Palace Tickets

London, United Kingdom

Visit London's Kensington Palace, the former royal home of Queen Victoria and Princess Diana, and discover the secret and public lives of Kensington's past and present inhabitants with this skip-the-line pass. Make your way through the magnificent King's and Queen's State Apartments and the beautiful Palace Gardens. Visit three different exhibitions, including ‘Victoria Revealed,' set within the rooms where Queen Victoria once lived. This exhibition explores her life and reign as wife, mother, queen and empress. Even better, by booking your ticket ahead of time, you'll get to jump the long entrance queues at no extra cost -- don't waste time waiting in lines on vacation!

London's Kensington Palace has been a royal home for over 300 years, and parts of the palace still remain a private residence for members of the Royal Family today. Following a major renovation project, the palace now unveils many secret stories of past royal figures, painting Kensington Palace as the setting for many noteworthy events and dramas in royal history. Make your way through the spectacular King's and Queen's State Apartments, adorned with paintings from the Royal Collection, and stroll through the Kensington Palace Gardens at your leisure.

Explore the new permanent exhibition, ‘Victoria Revealed,' which is set within the rooms where Victoria grew up. Queen Victoria was born in the palace, and it was here that she learned she had become queen at just 18 years of age. She also held her first Privy Council meeting in Kensington Palace's Red Saloon. Inspired by her own journals and featuring displays of personal objects, ‘Victoria Revealed' gives an intimate account of Queen Victoria, exploring her life and reign through her own words.

In addition, the exhibition, ‘Diana: Glimpses of a Modern Princess,' displays dresses worn by Princess Diana, including items that have never before been shown in the UK. This display runs until September 2, 2012. Running from May 24 to October 31, 2012, the temporary ‘Jubilee - A View from the Crowd' exhibition will display the story of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 1897 from the perspective of the millions who joined in the festivities.

This was a very good chance to see the newly renovated Kensington Palace. My only thought would be to add audio guides.

We really enjoyed the palace visit; always a wonderful thing to do in London. Even thought the palace was undergoing renovations, the princesses ghost tour was very interesting and gave a totally different view of palace life throughout the years. We really enjoyed everything about this tour, and would highly recommend it.

Your rate was very high than what they charge in the palace therefore, I will not use service again.

No queue to avoid on a Sunday afternoon in JUne! The best bit of the palace is the gardens and orangery which are free top enter. We did not enjoy the insiude of the Palace.

As there were not any lines at this time of the year I don't think booking ahead was an issue. Not one of my favorite castles. The grounds were lovely though.

Very disappointed, the exhibtion seemed tobe aimed at children. Waste of my money seemed to me whilst a building programme that finished in 2112 let's see how we can get some money in to the coffers.

We were disappointed as there was restoration happening indoors, and even though it was open with homemade artwork, etc., we didn't get it. We were looking to see more of the Diana history...which we did not get. Don't waste your money on the indoor tour, the outside is impressive and fulfils the need.

Disappointing and we could not recommend it. Certainly not what we were expecting, the palace has been turned into a children's enchanted house & 'find the princess' game.

Kensington Palace's new exhibit is one to see if you like an "off-beat" approach to displaying a traditional palace that is undergoing lots of changes. No big crowds and great guides on site who approach the guests to share information. Note to Viator, there currently is not a group ticket window in operation during the palace renovation, so there was really no advantage to purchasing my ticket in advance, other than my own peace of mind.

They are changing the Kensington Palace to an "Enchanted Palace Theme" it was not what I had expected to see, so that was disappointing. it is done in a fairy tale-scavenger hunt style I guess to attract younger people but the theme was very dark and scary for the 5-8 year olds that were touring a few with their mother were even crying. It is different sort of Tim Burtonish but I was hoping to see where Princess Diana had lived etc and that is not what the palace is like anymore.

I misunderstood this exhibit. While I knew there was an Enchanted Palace exhibit happening, I did not think it was INSTEAD of the usual exhibits which are being renovated. I simply didn't understand what I was buying tickets to see. If you think you are going to explore staterooms where Diana and other Princesses lived, this is not the tour for you. Additionally, there was absolutely no line so buying tickets ahead of time is not necessary.

I expected a beautiful palace. At this particular time it was the "Princess" experience. Each room dedicated to one woman of the royal family. Very nicely done with word, sound and art exhibits.

This is worth doing if you are a fan of Princess Diane. some of the displays cover her time at the palace where she lived when in England. This old Palace has some great history in it.

Nice to have tickets in hand and skip the line. Also liked the hand held device that told you about the different rooms as you went through. Was a little disappointed in what we actually saw except for the dresses she wore.

Those of a certain gender in our family dragged the others to see "all about Di". All of us were bored beyond belief. Discarding our headphones to escape the dreary commentary, and heading quickly to the orangerie for lunch, we were confronted with an expensive menu with about nothing for teenagers. The best thing about this visit was the close proximity to Portobello Road markets, which were wonderful. The administrators of Kensington Palace did not cater for those in our group who wanted to see and learn "all about Princess Di". Perhaps we didn't do our homework properly.

The Diana exhibit was nice and the palace tour interesting. Not a highlight of the trip but I would recommend if you are in town for a few days. The Diana dress exhibit would be better if they had a picture of the Princess actually wearing the dress next to the dress. The gardens and nearby Hyde Park have a lot of interesting things to see.
