Small Group Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath Day Trip from London

London, United Kingdom

Take a small group day trip from London and visit three of England's most famous attractions - Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 35 people on this small group day trip, ensuring you'll receive personalized attention from your knowledgeable guide. By booking ahead, you won't waste any time waiting in line!

Your day trip begins at the home of the British Royal Family, Windsor Castle. You'll be one of the first groups to enter Windsor Castle early morning to avoid the crowds. The knowledgeable guide will escort you inside to explain the various sites including the State Apartments and the magnificent St. Georges Chapel. You'll enjoy some free time at leisure to explore more than 900 years of royal history at your own pace.

This day trip includes free time at Bath (90 minutes) and a visit of the village of Lacock with a premium lunch at the George, a vintage English pub built in 1361.

Lacock is one of England's most picturesque villages, dating back to the Saxon era. The village has provided the setting for many movies and television dramas, including Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Next stop is Stonehenge, one of the most famous prehistoric monuments in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shrouded in mystery, the site dates back nearly 5,000 years. Walk around this awe-inspiring site and decide for yourself whether this remarkable feat of ancient engineering was a place of sun worship, a healing sanctuary, a sacred burial site, or something different altogether.

The final stop will be the beautiful Georgian city of Bath. This tour gives you 90 minutes at leisure to explore the city. You can choose to visit the Roman Baths (additional cost) or spend time explore the city at leisure.

Our guide Hugh was excellent and so was our driver. The trip is fast paced but when you get to see so much of England in one day it is worth it. This was my second time doing this tour with Premium tours.

Weather was not good -- neither was the food at the restaurant chosen! But this was because of last minute changes due to some accident!

I was disappointed with this trip as there was limited time in both Windsor Castle and Bath. I do not think 'tacking on' Bath is a good idea, as at least a full day is required to appreciate this location and get to see things.

Amazing!!! in just one word. Definately go for it. you can beat the lines and see everything comfortably. And the lunch and the country is something not to be missed. In one day we got stonehenge, palaces, country and Roman bath. wow!!!

Each place was excellent but we felt you tried to put too many things in the one tour and as a result there was not enough time at any of them. The pick up in London was very late and it turned into a very rushed and extremely long day. I would not recommend this tour.

Great small group tour - loved Windsor Castle (beats Versailles Palace hands-down). Lunch in the 13th century pub was most enjoyable. Could the tour delete Stonehenge and spend more time in Bath? We did the hop on/off bus in Bath, and really didn't have sufficient time to walk around before departure.

Great Day. Glad we did Windsor first to see the changing of the guard. Stop in Lacock could have been shorter and Bath could have been extended. Overall, the Tour guide was friendly and the tour group was a great size. Everyone respected the time frames and the day ran smoothly.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Small group of 36 on motorcoach bus without a useable bathroom on board (no eating on bus either). We spent maybe 1 1/2 at each stop. I'll drive next time.

Our guide Hugh was outstanding; informative, entertaining, humorous and engaging. The departure from Victoria Coach Station was a little confusing, but we appreciated the hotel pick up early in the morning. We saw quite a lot in one day and found the pace fast but just right.

The sites we saw on the tour were good and we felt efficent time was allowed at each. _br/_ The negatives about the tour were: _br/_ First, the disorganization to get started. We left about 1/2 to 3/4 hour after the time they said we would leave. Such delays cut into the time we had to see the sites. _br/_ Secondly and an extremely negative point, in our opinon, is when the tour got back into London in the evening (it was already dark) and rather than returning to the place where the tour started everyone was dropped off at a point in the vicinity of where they were staying and had to find their own way back to their hotels. We had chose our hotel due to its closeness it was to the tour starting point. With the tour not returning there we had to walk quite a ways further to our hotel and felt rather abandoned in such a large city at night in an area we were not familiar with.

A full day for sure. Much to see in one day Would have liked more time at Windsor castle and less time in Bath. Drop off at end of day where we were picked up would have been nice. Jess, the tour director was excellent.

This small group tour exceeded our expectations. It was well organized and conducted in a first rate fashion. Our guide Hugh and driver Malcolm were excellent. Everyone should see Stonehenge once in their lives even though it somewhat overally commercialized. On the other hand, Windsor Castle, Bath and our lunch at the George Inn in Lacock provided excellent insight into various aspects of British history.

These sights were great, but if I had it to do over I would choose options which let me stay longer at each location. It felt hurried. Our tour guide, Graham, was a bit repetitive and condescending , but perhaps that was due to a large percentage of the group for whom English was not a first language. A 50 person tour bus is not a small group, but that did not matter as the "guided" portion of the tour was on the bus, not at the sights.

This tour was certainly a highlight of our trip to London. Our tour guide, David was just fantastic - we only wish we could have had more time to book another tour with him! We are a family of 4 ranging in age from 13 to 50 and each of us had a fabulous time.

What a great trip! We really enjoyed all three locations, especially Windsor Castle. The state apartments and St. George's Chapel were really gorgeous. Stonehenge is just fantastic to see and yes, 45 min is too long for the site, but we discovered that it's British law that bus drivers have a 45 min break each stop, that's why you have to stop for so long. Other posters were complaining about the timeframe, so I thought I'd clear it up. Bath was really beautiful and the Roman Baths were really interesting. The only drawback to Bath was that the tickets to the Roman Bath were not included and it was 23L each, so a little pricey.

Fabulous tour, John our excellent guide was very informative and kept us entertained. Could have spent more time at Windsor Castle but we were a bit delayed leaving the coach station through no fault of the tour company. It was a perfect day for a walk around the mysterious Stonehenge. Lunch in Laycock was delicious at the 13th century pub and the walk through the village was like going back in time with all the thatched roofs. Bath is very picturesque with nearly all buildings being pink and I listened to the Abbey bells from the town square.

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Windsor Castle was a real treat, Bath was lovely and Stonehenge was very interesting. As an unexpected bonus we were able to have lunch in the charming town of Laycock, where a number of the scenes from the Harry Potter movies were filmed. My niece, a fan, was delighted! Well done!

OUR TOUR GUIDE WAS AMAZING! He made the trip all worth it. He was as educated as a historian and answered all of our questions. Windsor was amazing, Stonehenge - you have to see once but once you have seen it- you have seen it. The Roman Baths were expensive for really nothing. This tour was worth every penny because the guide and Windsor. I wish I had his name so I could recommend him.

Great trip! The tour guide Jessica was super-smart, friendly, humorous, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Bus driver John was excellent especially on the narrow roads near Lacock as well as friendly. Stonehenge was fascinating to see, Windsor castle was beautiful, and Bath was interesting as well as beautiful. The countryside gives an excellent counterpoint to the hustle and bustle of London. Thumbs up! The only "con" I can think of is that the bus did not have a lavatory, so you need to plan ahead the trip going back to London is a few hours long, so go easy on the beers in Lacock.

Traveling in a small group is the right way to tour. The bus was clean and the entire trip went smoothly, except for the bus driver getting lost trying to find Lacock. Stopped off in Lacock to eat at a pub, decent food. Could have used more time to see the Abbey in Lacock where one of the Harry Potter movies was filmed. Jess, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

An excellent small group of about 20 excursion to the English countryside. The bus was clean and comfortable. The guide and the driver were not only polite and respectful but are also knowledgeable of each of the site. Along the way the tour guide shared historical facts. We stopped in a quaint town called Lacock and had lunch at a lovely English Pub inclusive. I recommend this trip highly as it is a nice way to get away from busy London and see the countryside. However, wished we had more time spent in Bath. It was rather late when we arrived in Bath due to traffic so we had less time to enjoy what lovely Bath had to offer.
