Thames Hop-On Hop-Off River Cruise

London, United Kingdom

The best way to see London's sights and splendor is from the deck of a boat. With this hop-on hop-off pass you can cruise up and down the Thames, alighting at your leisure, for a whole day.

The Thames weaves its way through London, with history around every bend. Aboard the hop-on hop-off River Red Rover you'll cruise in comfort and style past London's world-famous landmarks. The boats have open upper decks for great sightseeing and comfortable lower saloons. Relax and enjoy the views, onboard commentary, light refreshments and full bar service as London's famous sights glide by.

The river cruise departs every 40 minutes from Westminster Pier, Waterloo Pier (near the London Eye), Tower Pier and Greenwich Pier (near the Cutty Sark). With just one ticket you may hop-on or off at any of the piers as often as you like throughout the day. The shortest trip between piers lasts approximately 20-30 minutes, while the full round trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Really fun to hop on and off. We went all the way to Greenich and back. Beautiful trip on the River Themes. Overall it takes about an hour and a half. All the boat staff seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Good to hear history from them and they are all very funny!

Excellent service. The boats were of a good condition and regular. The tour guide made the trip very interesting. I will definately use this service again as it was also good value for money.

Great boat trip, interesting and fun commentary done by the crew. Lovely views of the river and different buildings. Highly enjoyable, also for our twelve year-old daughter.

The trip was great. Loved the "unofficial" commentary from the crew. It was both informative and entertaining.

The boat ride was great, and the crew provided lively commentary, which was really funny and informative. We were on the last ride of the day, and they were about to skip a stop, when we called out to them to request it. As it was, some people missed getting on and off, whoops. Meanwhile, the website information was not up to date, the boats did not run past 5.30! We had to cut short our touring around, despite the itinerary I had printed off the web which said they ran later ('til 8pm). Lucky we caught it at all. And by the way, you can just buy tickets there at the gate, you don't need to book in advance, wish we had, it would have been cheaper for us since my brother and nephew were not well, and I couldn't get a refund for those two tickets!

Excellent, good info from the crew, although a little cheesy! Boat was clean and tidy on the outward journey, but the return boat seemed to have a damaged window which was taped up, overall an excellent trip, helped by good weather, would travel again, as the ticket office very helpful, no fuss just exchanged online letter for tickets and we were away.

Excellent cruise on beautiful section of Thames._br/_ The commentary provided by members of the crew was both witty and informative. On the return journey we were glad of the sliding roof which kept us dry!

Imagine me, NOT a world traveler, booking a flat for my London vacation from the United States.. It was a leap of faith, for sure. I had NO idea where it was or what to expect. What a pleasent surprise; the flat was beautiful and everything went smoothly. Thanks SO much. I would DEFINETLY do this again.

We enjoyed this trip very much and the commentaries were hilarious. My two points I would like to make are please be firmer with people on the top deck of the boat as not only is it dangerous but people cannot see the sights properly. Also,we pre-booked our tickets on the internet but did not realize we had to line up to actually collect the tickets.when we got to Westminster.Whats the point of pre-booking,at the end of the day everyone got on.

Not really worth the cost or the time. Buy a bus tour ticket instead and use the free boat option that is included.

The voucher from Viator stipulates that it is valid as ticket - but not with this company! I had to stand in line with everybody else and the guy behind the counter acted as if he'd never before seen anything from Viator. Remember photo-id and the card used for payment! The tour itself, however, was absolutely brilliant.

The unofficial tour guides do a good job. Consider paying them - there constant plea for tips was a bit off-putting. Seeing the opening of the Tower bridge was special. Dissapointed that the bar is a cash bar only - you should let this be known in the brochure as some people do not carry a lot of cash.

We travelled on the Thames from Westminster to Greenwich and back again. What an absolute delight! The dry-humoured guide struck the perfect blend of combining information, humour and silence in his monologue. We saw an incredible number of venues from the river perspective. This is an experience that I will recommend highly to anyone visiting London and, in fact, will repeat the next time I am in London.

This was a delightful way to see some of the city sights and get on and off at some stops. Do yourself a favor and plan to get off at Greenwich - I wish we could have spent more time there before catching the last scheduled boat of the day. Our comical guide left us with the quote we used most often throughout our trip!! We still laugh when we say it!

The on board commentary was both informative and entertaining, and well-timed to coincide with the sites. We got off at Greenwich and explored the town, which was a picture postcard. The return trip was equally enjoyable - excellent value for the money. Will recommend to others.
