Madrid City Tour and Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Madrid, Spain

Match an introductory sightseeing tour of Madrid with a visit to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home ground of the legendary Real Madrid football team. Sightseeing and football it's the perfect mix!

On the panoramic city tour you will discover that Madrid is a multifaceted city, from its Arab origins, the court days during the reigns of Phillip II and Charles III, through to the nightlife hubs of present-day Madrid. It was during the reign of Charles III in the 18th century that Madrid became an important cultural and scientific center.

You'll drive along Madrid's famous avenues, including the Gran Via and Castellana, to famous squares such as Plazas de Espana, Puerta del Sol and Puerta de Alcala. You'll also visit the city's historic quarters and famous parks, including Casa de Campo and Retiro. The tour also takes you past the university and the bull ring.

Next stop is Bernabeu Stadium, home ground of Real Madrid. Here, you will have the opportunity to take a unique tour of the stadium, with access to places you've only dreamed of visiting. You'll see the tunnel to the locker rooms, the bench, the pitch and even the presidential box. Round off your tour with a visit to the museum celebrating the legendary Real Madrid team. The tour concludes at Bernabeu Stadium.

Tour before hand was not as I expected it to be, rode around the city on a coach with only 1 stop at Hard Rock cafe before we got off at Bernabau. As a football fan this tour was amazing and the only reason I booked. You can however make your own way there and pay to get in which would be cheaper.

This tour was a bit of a disaster. The roads around Madrid were closed due to a bicycle race and we could not get to many of the attractions. They offered a walking tour from one point but it was not the same.

Excellent coach tour and overview of city. Very good English speaking guide. The stadium was a very comprehensive self-guiding tour, an absolute "must-do" for football fans, or anyone interested in this aspect Madrid culture. Lots of photo opportunites, and altogether fascinating!

Would not really recommend this combined tour definately better to book the hop on hop of bus and the bernabeu stadium tickets separatly as we found out that on board the bus it never dropped us of at any of the citys's attractions just to the Hard Rock Cafe for a free soda could do without this was dissapointed all in all but we did enjoy the Bernabeu stadium

My husband and I enjoyed the Madrid City Tour and the Bernabeu Stadium on our recent trip. The city tour was excellent and was really enhanced by our guide, who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We bumped into her the next day and she remembered us and asked how our trip was going. So professional! The Bernabeu was well organised and interesting and we could visit all parts of the stadium. However, we need to say that the prices for photos were not told to us until the last minute and were rather expensive for many people. We were offered a large photo for 17 euros and, as there were small ones availalbe for 12 euros then that was not good. A shame.

Unfortunately it was pouring down with rain when we did the Madrid City tour but we did get to see all the major sites from the comfort of the coach. We finished our tour at the Bernabeu Stadium and thoroughly enjoyed it! It's a magnificent stadium and you could do the tour at your own pace. We were there nearly two hours! I think it was a real highlight of our weekend stay in Madrid!

I do not recommend this tour. There was initial chaos, as our guide left with us 15 minutes late. We were then taken to the main bus station and loaded onto an coach which was almost full and where we could not sit together as a family. The driver rushed past all of the sights, stopping once for a 15 minutes break and then we were left at the stadium, rather than being brought back to the start point.

I loved visiting the stadium, however, it should have been clearer in the itinerary that in the middle of the 3 hr tour only those that paid to tour the stadium were being dropped off at the stadium to do the tour alone. Of a group of about 20 people, i was let off across the street from the stadium by myself--didn't even get the full 3 hour tour of the city!

My visit to Santiago Bernabeu was the highlight of my entire trip to Spain. I am a big fan of Real Madrid and I had a great time and enjoyed every bit of it and I also had a lot of fun shopping and dinning at the Stadium.

Bernabeu stadium part of the trip was excellent and value for money however it is advisable to use an open top bus tour for madrid as you can see very little from the coach.

The city tour was extensive and interesting. It gives you a good guide as to what you may want to see. The stadium tour is self-guided but very good, and it is easy to get back to the city as there is a train stop right out the front of the stadium. Well worth doing if you have limited time or as an introduction to the city.

If you are into soccer at all and know the Real Madrid team, I definitely recommend this tour. You see the stadium from the seats, to the field, players bench, locker room, trophy hall, interview room, etc. Very cool!

The tour departed 20 minutes late. The city part of the tour lasted about 75 minutes including a 20-minute stop at a souvenir shop. The Bernabeu Stadium tour was good and took about one hour. The overall tour was advertised as being 4.5 hours. This was terrible value for money.

The city tour was average but we did it on our first day there which was quite good as you get an idea of where everything is and what you want to go back and see again. The stadium tour was good, fun if you like football.

The Madrid City Tour was only booked as a means to get to the Bernabau Stadium. However, we were impressed with the tour and would recommend it on its own. The Bernabau did not disappoint either, and for any football fan it is a must. We were especially lucky because it was the day after they had been presented with the league cup and the place was buzzing. Be aware of the "surprise" included in the city tour: it was a twenty minute visit to a gift shop. I can only assume the shop was owned by a friend or family member, and did not enhance the trip at all.

The tour of the stadium was brilliant but I don't think we went on the correct tour before hand. We seem to have been lumped in with a different tour group. We didn't get to visit the Hard Rock, instead we stopped at an expensive gift shop. Once we were dropped off at the stadium we had entry to everything, the museum, trophy rooms, we went pitch side and into the dressing rooms. Well worth it.

Arrived at 9.15 am for the tour to be told it did not go until the afternoon. We had confirmation and an information leaflet that stated 9.15 am. No guide for the tour. Did not see all of the stadium. Overall disappointing and not impressed with the organisation.

The city tour was very short, and we didn't get any transport back into the city centre when we finished touring the football stadium. The was not as good as I had expected. I was hoping to see more of the city. It would have been better if the ticket voucher were clearer about the departure point.
