Half the places I went to on the madrid card list (naval museum and others) didn't accept it and charged me anyway. And it only gave basic access to the Prado, had to pay full price for the featured exhibition. Quite useless.

FABULOUS!!!!! We loved the card. It allowed us to go to many museums and sites and not feel obligated to see everything.

If your trip to Madrid will include several museums, get this card. Even if you don't save any money (which may be the case--check online for ticket prices with the individual museums), you will make up for it in convenience of not needing to stand in line to buy tickets. As a tourist, your time in town may be limited--and even if under no time pressure, you didn't travel to Spain in order to stand in line. This card possibly saves you money, but definitely saves you time.

I paid approximately 75 CAD for a 72 hour pass. With Bernabeu at 16 Euro and all the major museums and palaces at 8 Euro or higher, I may have just broke even on this card, and I am a maniacal planner who is willing to skip meals to see good art. However, I never stood in a line. With the priority access I could walk into any of the major museums and attractions at peak hours and bypass hundreds of people waiting in line. My time is worth it!

We were disappointed to discover that this did not include the local metro system (one of the reasons we purchased the card). Also, we purchased the 5 day card which given we were only in Madrid for 4 days and one of those we went to Toledo, this was not a price effective option for us. We were glad we had not purchased these cards for other cities and waited to see what this one would be like.

Not as good ad the Barcelona card! Kinda useless..

Beware that this card does not include any transportation. I had read an apparently outdated review that touted that what was great about the Madrid Card was that it included the Madrid Vision bus. Well, it doesn't. Viator does not indicate that the bus is included; the description here is fair.

Well worth it! Best way to get around Madrid! Only mistake I made was the number of days! Only there for 2 full days but paid for 4!

Besides the Prado and Sofia museums, we didn't make up for the amount we bought the cards for.

I did not find this card worth the money. Many of the museums it included were free to everyone all the time (this was not made clear on the site). I feel it is totally misleading to list all the museums it lets you in to including those that are always free. We did not get our moneys worth inspite of our best efforts. Have previously used Barcelona card and loved it. This Madridr card is just not worth it and frankly myself and my travelling companion feel conned. Please avoid and pay for the museums you want to enter - no way would it have cost us the £35 it cost us for a 48 hour card. FRANKLY A RIP OFF.

Just about got our money's worth over 3 days. depends for example on how much time you are going to spend at individual attractions. Some were free entrance anyway

It is worth its weight in gold just to bypass the lines to the prado and palacio real! I recommend this if you like museums and hate waiting in lines. I only got the 24 hr one, and it was enough to see the prado, botannical gardens, and palacio. it you are really into museums, get the 48 hr card. Im not a huge museam fan, so I lost interest very quickly in the prado! So dark!

The card was helpful and allowed us to avoid ticket lines. We were not allowed to take a City Tour as promised. The bu person said that they no longer had arrangement so charged us--that was not as promised.

I'm giving this a low rating only because my card got stollen on the first day while on the Metro. They got this card and the transportation card. Therefore, we were unable to visit all of the attractions open to us when we had both cards.

Great card. We went to the main museum without pay a penny. We took advantage of must of the things. Be aware that this card different to the BCN one doesn't include the metro tickets. But it was a worthy!

The three day card was well worth the purchase, offering free entry to many of the main attractions, and some discounts. Comine this with the Travel Pass and you have great value for your money.

Great museums. What I really liked was that it was a 48 hour pass and we used it Monday afternoon, all ay Tuesday and Wednesday for a half day. It worked out perfectly and we were able to see a lot. Make sure to check out some of the smaller museums too

Limited advantage. The museums required card holders to stand in line for tickets to enter. Price high considering the limited hours for museum openings and the time required to visit multiple sites.

Definitely worth the price. My wife and I bought 48 hour passes, saw the Royal Palace and the three major museums, for less than we would have paid at the gate and, 5 off souvenirs -- pays for itself!

Indeed I was able to avoid the lines at the Prado but the card was refused at the Thyssen Museum and I had to return to the tourist office for a new card. Then many museums did not recognize the card and did not allow free entrance - even with the name of the museum in your booklet! Better awareness of your programme with all Madrid Museums needs to be much improved.

I would not recommend getting the cultural card on the web since you have to go to the tourist office in Plaza Mayor to exchange it for a real Madrid card, in which case you could buy it directly from there for 31 euro. So unless there are great savings buying on the web, you can buy the card in Madrid.

It's not a good value because it doesn't include the zoo - 18 euro a person - and most of the museums are free after 6PM anyways. I don't think the full price Madrid Card the blue one is worth it either as it's more efficient to get around on the metro than the hop-on bus. I recommend the tourist pass instead and spending a few Euros to see what you can't see for free. By the way, to pick up either Madrid Card or the Tourist Pass in the airport, you must take a ridiculously long hike from your arrival door to the office in the airport, and a second ridiculously long hike back to somewhere where you can catch a cab.

Good deal, just make sure you have the whole two days to use the 2 day card or it is not quite as good a deal. Worth it, though, when we could totally bypass the hour long lines and walk right into the Prado museum!!!!
