My daughter and I spent our last night on a tapas tour with Paul. I have nothing but praise for this super guide. he did everything possible to make it a most memorable enjoyable evening. it was not just ''tapeando' but also a cultural tour'. The group we were with were also very good company. The only piuty was that we left it for the last night as we had to go slow on the wine since we had to be at the airpot at 4am. We eould certainly do we it again on our next visit.

I recommend this tour to everyone! It's a great way to experience Madrid nightlife with a knowledgeable guide who shares what he's learned on his own. Our particular guide, Paul, was thoughtful and smart; he shared historical information as well as tips for enjoying bars, drinks, and free tapas and rubbing elbows (not just a metaphor) with Spaniards. He asked for our input at many points on how to tailor the tour to our interests. We experienced a variety of tastes in drinks (cider, wine, etc) and food. Paul showed us some of what made him fall in love with Madrid (6 years ago?) and decide to stay. We used his tips on subsequent nights to enjoy tapas and nightlife all over again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first night in Madrid. Our guide definitely takes his job seriously. Daniel was knowledgeable, entertaining, committed and patient. Our group was small enought to develop social cohesion early on. The food we sampled was good and the places we visited, interesting - making sense of the tapas culture. Even a tee totaller will enjoy the tour. My only regret is that we left in a hurry (to catch a taxi) and clean forgot to give Daniel the gratuity - one he richly deserved!

We had a small problem obtaining the confirmation from Viator, maybe because we have booked only 2 days before our arrival- so be careful (I would appreciate it if the agency had sent the info to our Hotel upon arrival but) About the tour: We are a couple from Greeks and we did this tour the first day we got in Madrid due to all the great reviews we found and we were both extremely happy with it. After this tour I felt I understood the bar/tapas culture and went on to fully enjoy it!! Those of you who are early-evening eateres- do go beyond your daily habits: it's worth it!!! We went on the tour last Saturday the 11th of Feb, 4 of us early 40's ladies from London, 3 lads from Roterdam and a young couple from Ireland. Paul was an amazing tour guide from Dublin! He took us on an interesting walk through the tapas establishments of Madrid giving us information on Madrid and about the regions in Spain that the Tapas came from and took us out of our comfort zones with regards to trying new food and drink! Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made sure that everyone was included. We go on a city break every year and this was the first time that we had pre booked a tour and I would definatley recommend it to anyone going to Madrid and would look out for similar tours in the future. Paul you are doing an amazing job keep up the good work.

The tour was excellent. The guide took us on an extensive walkabout tour of central Madrid. We visited five Tapas Bars and sampled a range of different types of tapas. Extra cost per person was 20 Euro which was very good value. The guide (Paul) also provided us with useful information which we used on the following days.I would give this tour a 5 star rating.

What a great night! Our tour guide, Irish Paul, took the 10 of us (from Australia, UK, USA and Germany) to four different tapas bars where he explained the different types of food and drink (both of which we had plenty) from the various regions of Spain. Between bar visits, Paul took us to some major sites of Madrid and gave us a brief history and development of the city._br/_ Paul was funny and entertaining bloke and it wasn't long before we were all in good spirits._br/_ The tour officially ended around midnight but we kicked on for some time after that. That's Madrid!_br/_ If you are staying in Madrid for any length of time, I would reccommend you do this tour early in your stay and be prepared for a fun night. You WILL enjoy it!

awesome! Totally worth it!!! the tapas were free at the first bar, but then we all pitched in 20 euro in the kitty to pay for the rest of the evening. At the last bar, we owed like 2 euros each. Great night! Forces you to try different foods and drinks! Plus you get a walking tour of Madrid! Our guide was great. I forget his name, but he was from ireland!

The Tapas Night Walking Tour was the highlight of our trip to Madrid! We really enjoyed learning how to fit in with the locals. It was both fun and educational and it gave us the confidence to go out on our own the rest of the week of our visit.
