A very relaxing time and excellent outing.. Glad we were able to change the day as Yarra was flooding and tides very high .. Think we were the last boat under the bridges for the weekend...Super crew!!!

Fantasic day, Great weather, Cruise was fantastic, The only downfall would be the smell of cigarette smoke from staff and passengers up the back, if you didnt like the smell of cigarette smoke , then sitting in the open up the back is not an option

Good cruise - better to sit inside a bit smelly/noisy outside. Watch teh tides as that can effect wether you can do the full tour on teh one day - bit of a pain. Nice river cruise.

The cruise is a bit boring to be honest as there is not that much to see, especially the cruise which takes you away from ther CBD.
Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

We did the A+B cruise. There was some confusion at the berth as to which boat we were suppose to be on. There is also about 20 minutes wait between each cruise. The cruise down river was longer and more informative. Our cruise upriver seemed very short, it was cut short due to the company using a larger, air-conditioned boat, but it really felt very short. Overall our visitors enjoyed the cruise/s, a nice way to see the Melbourne skyline.

Overall it was good. The only thing we didn't like was the fact we couldn't hear the captin very clearly, when he was telling us of the citys highlights. It was all just one big mumble,

We thoroughly enjoyed the City Cruise on the Yara River, even though it was raining. The Captain and assistant were tremendous. Melbourne is a beautiful city! We would love to go back there again for a longer time, as we spent only 2 days there this time.

Cruise ws good as was the captain however the pre-departure admin was obviously rushed and uncertain with one staff member not sure what to do and the other overworked trying to do too many things at once. Due to tide problems we were put on a cruise we did not want to go on.

Review by: EPAC SALARY S January 2011
Enjoyable trips. Would be a good idea to let customers know that they may have to do the trip over a couple of days. If there is a high tide then the boats can only do the up-river leg of the trip. You then need to return at another time to do the down river part of the journey.

Was a great cruise, very relaxing and informative. However on the website it says and i quote Vehicles are collapsible wheelchair accessible, however the driver is unable to assist passengers boarding and disembarking due to insurance regulations. The boat that i went on was no way wheelchair accessible. The captain wanted to send me at the front of the boat, but i wouldnt hear the commentary. I said no way this was an anniversary present. Anyway in the end they helped me on the boat.

The cruise its self was great with great info provided regarding local surroundings up and down river, however there was a problem with the times stated on form which were changed as soon as I checked in. Then an even bigger problem due to tides delayed the trip for an hour and a half mid trip which when on limited time is not good. But delay understandable. Didn't spoil trip for me, just inconvenient time wise.

10.30am cruise was cancelled. went on the 11.00am cruise which travelled only one way, the other 50% of the cruise was cancelled due to high water levels. no refund was offered. Boat was scruffy with torn seats, it was self service tea, no coffee, limited milk no biscuits etc. on board staff were great.

A great day out. There were 6 of us. The commentary was excellent and very relaxing. With tea, coffee provided. The break of 30 minutes between the upstream ride and downstream ride can work out to your benefit, giving you time to freshen up and maybe have a light snack at the many eating places close by. If you are looking to entertain friends or have a day out in the city, why not go on a river cruise? I hope to go again soon to entertain our friends at Easter.

A good value way to spend a few hours. If you have never been to Melbourne or even if you have, you get a good commentary about different landmarks around the Yarra.

The cruise along the Yarra was calm and the staff obliging and informative when giving us information of the history of the Yarra and the establishment of Melbourne, which is needed as a tourist. However, to improve the service, updated seating and offering of biscuits or purchase of sandwiches would assist during the 2 hour cruise. We were not aware of the change to go up river and could not purchase food. Even premade sandwiches as there is a kitchen and refrigeration could also see more profit for the cruise company. Even a projection of events in Melbourne for the travellors would assist tourism.

Fortunately I picked a bright sunny day, so the water was calm and the view excellent. I did an up-river and a down-river cruise and both were excellent. Nice leisurely pace and lots to see. Captain's commentry was great, he was knowledgeable and amusing.

The cruise downstream gave a very comprehensive coverage of the city, docklands, and harbour areas. The upstream trip was a peaceful cruise through parklands and sporting facilities, also showing some expensive suburban homes. Complete with excellent commentary, the two cruises gave a good introduction to the attractive city of Melbourne.
