We had planned 6 day trips from Milan and for me this was to be one of the real highlights. I was certainly not disappointed! To begin with, the enthusiasm of our guide Marcella was contagious, having us in fits of laughter as she described how we would be reacting to the upcoming scenery. She was SO enthusiastic and informative and took care of all the small but important things, like good local restaurant , showing us where and how to get the best photos,and plenty of toilet stops. The scenery really was fantastic, and to add to our pleasure, it started to snow. The dome carriages only operate in summer for safety reasons, but we were thrilled with our train as you got great views and could open the windows and hang out, for great photos and a rush of mountain air. Absolutely recommend.

this tour was worth every penny we spent. we have found, that if we listen to the tour guides suggestion for lunch it is always good, and this was the case in Tirano.we saw an amazing organ in the church there, before we caught the Bernina Express to St. Moritz. it was a clear day so we were able to see Mt Bernina from the train. Awesome sightseeing!! it was that once in a lifetime experience. St Moritz was a wonderful place. Thanks everyone.

Website info misleading as from Milan there is a 4 hour coach ride BEFORE having lunch and getting on train for another 2 hours - train travel through alps fantastic but website says 'Rail tour from Milan aboard the Bernina Express'._br/_ Would have been good to know up front that possible to pay 15e each for organised lunch in local restaurant._br/_ Very disappointing to only have 1 HOUR in St. Moritz after all that travelling._br/_ Website needs to be more specific to stop disappointment. Would have been good to have second pick up/drop off location at Central Station as several of us had to pay for taxi both ways, 7am and again at 8.45p.m. (13+ hours travelling for 1 hour in St.Moritz was excessive). _br/_ On the plus side - journey through the Alps fantastic and Guide very knowledgeable.

Although the journey is exceptionally long, the scenery is magnificent ! St. Moritz is a real gem. Actually the train ride was merely two and an half hour, the rest was by a mini bus. The bus was quite comfortable.

i was on a very large group and we were only allowed onto one carriage... therefore we weren't allowed to move side to side when the train went through the alps.

Simply spectacular views! Switzerland is perhaps one of the most magnificient countries in the world and the the train ride allows for sights that are utterly breathtaking. Since the weather was cooperating, we were able open the windows in either side of the train and all of the tour passengers were rushing back and forth trying to capture their Kodak moments. Our guide and driver were professional and St. Moritz, our destination proved to be a magnificent and lovely place. Also, visiting the Church in Tirino proved to be special. We would wholeheartedly recommend booking this excursion! Beth and Gerry Wagner

We'd looked forward to this tour. And were quite happy with the trip. By reading other reviews I found out that a lot of time was spent on a coach so it was okay. The church we visited on the way to the train was beautiful. And we enjoyed a lunch with some of our fellow travelers - lunch was on a voluntary basis. We took lots of pics and enjoyed a very brief stop over in St Moritz. Had a good day.

This was a great experience. Everything ran very smoothly and Eddie the tour guide and the bus driver could not have been more helpful. The scenery was breath taking and the stop for refreshments was great. We had a little tour of Bernie and then a lovely meal before continuing on our tour.

my only complaint is, we were not picked-up from the hotel. no drop off either._br/_ it would have been more a successful tour if we were picked -up so we didnt have to have that stress of taking the metro that so early coz taxi costs too much.

It is a marvelous journey. The red train in the white snow is divine. The train goes slowly and it is possible to take good photos. That was a journey full of joy and amusement. Everybody came very kind and happy. A very impressive road journey with a fabulous landscape. The Malroy road used in the return by bus has great scenery. it is a unique experience. It works really well. Very, very friendly.

Our tour guide, Marcella, was so enthusiastic, She was happy that we were interested to hear the history of the area and we were happy to be learning. She gave us special attention while in Saint Moritz and took us personally to all the good photo opportunities. In all my touring, she was the only guide who did this in her spare time.

If a picture paints a thousand words, the number of pictures that we have captured on our cameras of the beautiful scenes from the start of our journey on the Bernina Express would have surpassed the billion mark. This is a great tour! Prior to taking this trip I read all of the reviews and was nervous. As everybody said, the scenery is beautiful. We had a terrific tour guide, she was very informative and entertaining on the bus portion of the tour. We did not have the "panoramic" train but I think the regular train is better for taking pictures since you can open the windows. All in all a wonderful day!

It was breathtakingly beautiful. The snow capped peaks were just the way you always picture the Alps in your mind. We were disappointed that there had been a snow storm the night before and the road back from St. Moritz was blocked. I think the train track was too, not sure.

It was an amazing experience to breeze through the alps with half-open windows. It makes the experience more realistic. This is a quick way to tour the swiss alps without actually staying longer in switzerland. Perfect for travellers with limited time. Too bad a lot of the stores in St. Moritz were closed due to their restoff-peak season.

Spectacular journey passing from green forest at the beginning of the trip to snow cap mountains as the train ascends. Trying to snap a picture of the train passing through coming out of a tunnel or on the hanging bridge, from inside the carriage was fun and tricky. St. Moritz is picturesque.
