Verona is rich in archaeological sites, with a beautiful medieval center. The pretty town of Sirmione is on the southern shore of Lake Garda, perched on the end of a long promontory. Sirmione's beautiful setting was praised by the Roman poet Catullus. The town's narrow medieval streets bustle with color and life, and its most striking feature is the moated castle, Rocca Scaligera. Take a wander through a ruined Roman villa and admire archaeological finds - including a charming carving of rabbits in the small museum.

Exceeded our expectations which were high to begin with. Milan guide extremely knowledgable, informative and engaging. Local guide at Verona equally impressive, passionate and flexible, ensuring we missed the crowds (as much as possible) at Juliet's house. Great recommendations for local restaurant, which was a delight. Lake Garda wonderful, with a ride in a beautiful timber speed boat a must.

The trip was informative and very well-organised. It was intimate and left all of us for sufficient time to go between sites around Sirmione and Lake Garda on our own. I felt that we needed more options for food in both areas (because the recommended food court was rather below standard - fast-food style) and also, for shoppers, recommendations as to what is most signature to the region. Other than that, the guide was very honest and clear about the tour and the various places. It may help to also include in the guide about expected fees (i.e. boat ride around the lake costs euro10 ) and this may help prepare visitors to bring the right change, etc. Apart from that, excellent trip and would rcommend it highly.

Viator deliver on thier promise, everything is managed like clockwork and it is a great way to learn about the places you are visiting. Verona is beautiful and now that I have had a taster I will go back to spend more time there. Lake Garda is just beautiful and the boat ride on the lake was a real treat.

I am not truly happy with my day in Verona. Although the city and lake excursions were lovely our tour guide seemed he had other things on his mind. There was not much detail and I felt he just wanted the day to end as soon as possible or maybe waited for our free time so he could have his. I would have not used Viator again but had already booked Lake Como. Now I am not sure if I should use Viator again on my next two trips this year.

loved both places! my only complaint was how the guide left us to ourselves to navigate verona on our own - there are so many side streets that you can get turned around quickly.. a map would have been helpful.

A very interesting tour. The walking tour of Verona takes you into the Medieval heart of this romantic and historic city, with a humorous and comprehensive commentary by the local guide. The second part of the tour takes you to beautiful Sirmione on Lake Garda, complete with a boat ride on the lake. An experience not to be missed.

The tour guide in Verona was amazing. He knew lots about the town and the history as well as the culture. He definitely taught me some history about Italy involving the Scala family.I would definitely go back there again!

A very worthwhile trip. The guide in Verona was very well-versed in local history and lore. Lake Garda is beautiful and Eddie, our guide, did a great job pointing us in the right direction in Sermione.

We had a lovely time in Verona which was very beautiful. Our tour guide for Verona was excellent..He had a great sense of humour, he was passionate about Verona and he went out of his way to be helpful. We left after lunch for Lake Garda which was a bit disappointing. We had about an hour to look round the town. It ws siesta time when we were there and alot of the shops were shut. We would have preferred to have spent the whole day in Verona.

The worse guide we have ever had on any tour. She had never been to Verona before the tour. She was reading and highlighting a printout given her by the tour company on the way to Verona. She was asked by someone what was growing in the many orchards that we passed and she didn't know. When we were entering Verona, she was asked what town it was and she said Verona. No one knew if we were there yet or anything about Verona. We were taken on a 20 minute walking tour during which time, she stopped and asked four different people where something was. This ended up being a very expensive bus ride.
