Enjoyed this a lot. Shopping was good, but you get a little bambarded at the Craft Market. Don't think you will find a deal there, so don't bother saving your gift shopping till then. The Falls were amazing and beautiful. Definately value for your money on this tour.

Disappointed with the craft market stop. Tour took us to some unnamed small market out of the town of Ocho Rios. I was so angry I walked back to town. To make matters worse, it was more like a half day tour.. when you look at the transportation time involved. I do NOT Recommend this, A big disappointment.

we had a great tour guide. I was a little frustrated when i checked the night before about where to meet and learned I had to get a voucher from the bus counter when it did not say that anywhere on my voucher. shopping could have been a bit longer, felt rushed and specifically directed to certain shops when there were many in the area to choose from. the time at lunch and the falls however was perfect, no rushed feeling at all there. our tour guide Carol and driver Martin were awesome!!

The shopping trip was a joke. All of the stores that we were "taken" to were obviously a set up by relatives of the tour guide. Same crap in every store and nothing was a great deal. The lunch area was beautiful but food was poor. The falls were crowded and we were basically herded through them to the top and then EXPECTED to tip the guide at the end even though she lost us several times during the climb.

The tour was very nice, but to many time restictions. More time could of been spent at the falls.

I would definitely do this trip again! Our driver was incredible and so friendly, he stopped for us when we wanted to try some sugar cane that the road vendors were selling and let us take some pictures. Also, they gave us some great tips on different restaurants to eat at for lunch (scotchies was AWESOME) and the tour guide gave us so much information about Jamaica, it made the drive speed by. I LOVED this trip!

The Falls are fantastic - something that you have to see while in Jamaica. I knocked a star off because the tour itself wasn't fantastic. They really pile people into this waterfall - you never really get a view of it without people in it. I didn't really care about holding hands with other people, but it kind of sucked waiting around for the next person to go over a rock, or jump in the water, etc. We only spent like 30-40 minutes climbing it - I wish we could have time to do our own thing instead of following in a line. Also the whole time they're filming you and making you do silly stuff so that you buy the video afterward - and when you don't want to, they give you nasty looks. Tourism at its finest. :]

The falls were great, did not do the shopping. The low rating was due to the transportation. We left Montego Bay at 8am. By the time we made the pick up rounds it was 9:25a, then a 90 min drive to the falls w/one bathroom stop of about 15 min. Then after the falls we were given an assigned time to be back on the bus which some people did not adhere to and the guides did not enforce. After the drop offs we did not get back to the hotel until 3p. An 8 hour trip for an event that lasts approx. 50 min. The falls were fun but not worth sitting on a bus for that amount of time.

This was truly a great experience. I would do this tour again in a "Heart-Beat". Our tour guide, Desirene was simply FANTASTIC. The shopping part was a little bit rushed, but otherwise everything else was a BLAST.

Although the tour is very crisply run, you do not get much of a chance to wander in the non-tourist areas. This is really great if you just want to grab some souvenirs quickly and make a run through the Falls while not having to worry about transportation.

I see why its the #1 tour. I went on 4 tours while in Jamaica and this was the best. Do the shopping with the falls (all day tour). You get a great discount at the shopping area. Well worth the stop, get your Rum there, you will not find it cheaper anywhere. The falls look hard to climb but really not so, don't be imtimidated, easly to do and real fun. Guides are excellent, they really make the climb fun.

Dunn River Falls was a fun excursion where you get to climb the waterfall. It was not a challenging climb and people of all skill levels and ages should be able to do this safely. I was disappointed in the shopping. I expected to be able to walk the streets to vedors and small shops however we went to two tourist trap shopping centers and then to a Jamaican flee market. The flee market was high pressure and very uncomfortable. They split up the bus and you are guided to a specific spot at the market where you can barter. This was not ok with me and made this excursion much less enjoyable.

My husband and I loved our visit. 'Big Daddy' provided his expertise to insure a safe climb for our group. I was very fortunate to be the first in our tag line._br/_ My husband was told by several people at home not to make the climb, saying it's very dangerous. Perhaps it would be if we choose to climb ourselves, but thankfully we didn't go it alone. _br/_ What a great accomplishment we all felt!_br/_ Say 'Hi' and thanks to Big Daddy!!!

We only did the falls tour and it was exciting. The falls are fast moving water over a slow rising bed of rocks. The guides are great and help you over the rough spots. We are in our sixties and made the climb just fine. Water shoes are a must only if you are going to make the climb. Fun adventure!!

What a fantastic day. The tour guide and driver were extremely friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the Dunns Falls - excellent fun. We were then taken to a lovely place for lunch and then onto the shopping centre. A great fun hassle free day out. A huge thank you to the guide and driver who really made it a day to remember.

I really enjoy the ride to Dunn's River and climbing the river itself. I did not enjoy the first place we were taken to shop...they tried to split us up and felt very pressure and unsafe. The second stop only had 30 minutes. The buffet was over priced and did not have much time to enjoy the view.

The falls were terrific. The shopping was hit or miss and it seemed that we were being directed to shops that were more expensive by the tour guides. Lunch was very expensive for a buffet especially since no alternatives were available and the choices were limited.

Viator advises that you confirm your trip at least 48 hours before the trip. I contacted the tour operator and spoke to their staff. She told me to go to the tour desk in the lobby of the hotel I had booked to stay in. I explained that I was in Florida and would not arrive in Jamaica until the day before the trip. I ended up contacting the Viator customer services when I realized she was unwilling to help. Viator assured me that the relevant paperwork would be at the concierge desk; when I arrived this was not the case. Fortunately the tour Rep on site was sympathetic and arranged our pick up for 08:30 the following morning. On the whole it was a good trip. The enthusiasm and good spirit shown by the tour guide is to be commended. The downside to the trip was the time allocated to shopping. Three 40 minute stops that included two shopping areas and a craft market. An additional stop (30 minutes) for refreshments and rental of water shoes (bring your own) and finally a stop at a "all you can eat Chinese restaurant (US$15/person). When we eventually arrived at the falls we were only there for an hour. The highlight of course was climbing the falls. The experience was enhanced by the guides that work there. In addition to leading the group and ensuring that we were all enjoying the experience, they carried our cameras and took some awesome photos for us. I whole heartedly recommend this experience but suggest taking the half day tour if you want to enjoy the falls and beach at Dunn's river. If you are into shop, shop, shopping, then this is the tour for you.

Tourist beware! They will take you to the "crafts market" which is like getting beat up and askingpaying for it. DON"T GET OFF THE BUS!!! The falls were a blast and having a guide made it even more awesome! If you take want a self guided tour, you would be better off taking the "bobsled tour" the bus was much nicercleaner, and it takes you to Mystic Mountain and the falls, so you don't need to make the 2 hr. each way bus trip more than once to do the canopy tour, bobsled, and the falls!

loved the falls and the guides but not the shopping. The shopping was in shopping centers in which all shops were the same and run by middle easterners and not native Jamaicans. The only fun shopping stop was the one at a true Jamaica shopping area. If I had wanted American or middle eastern shopping I could have stayed in the U.S.

I thoroughly enjoyed the falls. I didn't think I would get to the top especially when you're at the bottom looking up but surprise, surprise I made it and it was everything they said it would be, exhilirating, fun and so worth it. I would definitely go again. Wasn't so hot on the shopping as I didn't feel we got to really experience the 'local's hardware as we were taken to 'main' shopping areas who were already making money. Other than that, absolutely great.

An adventurous person might frankly expect more out of this falls. It was fun nonetheless, but don't know if I would ride a bus for hours to do this again. Would recommend doing at least one. I highly recommend bringing your water shoes if you're going to do this.

The shopping was not what I expected at all. We were dropped off at recommended stores that were small and packed with people. It was too hard to go through and actually really take the time to decide on what you want to purchase. Other stores the people just follow you around until you buy something. There was a lot more I would have liked to purchase but the crowd and harrassment was a total turn off. We were also only given 30 minutes to shop in each location which is never enough for a girl or a tourist. They took us to "The Jamaicans" craft market, which was ridiculous and beyond irritating. I do not enjoy the desperation, "It's been a slow day, please come look at my stuff, please buy this". People grab wood items and start to carve for you right away and then you have no choice but to buy. They claim the stuff has being handmade by themselves but then you go the airport and see the same items for half the price, I don't like to be lied to or cheated. We went for lunch at a buffet which was 15 per person and there was nothing for variety. Dunns River Falls is totally worth it, just absolutely beautiful and amazing and the water was refreshing on that hot day. I would recommend doing a Dunn's River Falls tour, but I do not recommend the Ocho Rios shopping experience.

Really good day at the falls. The tour guide was really good and had the whole bus learning the Jamaican lingo! Yeah Mon, Irie, etc. Not good with small children as you have to watch your step and wouldn't really be able to carry kids safely whilst climbing the falls. People on our bus had booked locally with an 18 month and 3 year old therfore could not do the climb and had not been advised this was not a suitable trip for children.

The falls are beautiful and a must see for all who travel to Jamaica. The shopping part of the tour could have been better. We stopped at three places and only had 30 minutes to shop. It would've been better if there were only two stops with an hour to shop at each.

No trip to Jamaica is complete without this experience. What a rush actually climbing the falls. May want to reconsider if older or with small children. A little scarry at times but as long as you wear water shoes and follow the guides instructions you are fairly safe. Refreshing and they should add some info from Viator about whether you can or should bring your camera. We did not thinking it would get wet but the guides were trustworthy and did hold it for you and even take pictures. We missed those opportunities without the camera.
