Swarovski Crystal Worlds and Innsbruck Day Trip from Munich

Munich, Germany

The Olympic town of Innsbruck is the only major city in the European Alps, and offers its visitors a combination of culture, history and nature. See the world's largest crystal at Swarovski's Crystal World and pass by the venues of the Winter Olympic Games of 1964 and 1976.

Enjoy a drive along some of Bavaria's most beautiful lakes as you travel through the Karwendel mountains to Innsbruck, the city of the Golden Roof, and the Tirolean capital.

One of the highlights of your tour is a visit to Swarovski's Crystal World. The complex was designed by the famous Austrian performer - artist Andre Heller, and it takes you on a interesting journey into the world of crystals. At Swarovski's Crystal World you will find the world's biggest crystal which weighs 137 pounds (62 kilograms) and the largest Kaleidoscope in the world.

In Innsbruck you will have enough time to savor the sights of the historical center such as the Hofburg and Hofkirche, and you will pass the venues of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games, before returning to Munich.

I would have really liked to see some of the Innsbruck Olympic sights up close as a part of this tour. The Crystal World was not what I expected. I was thinking it would be a factory tour, but it was just a bizarre art display.

We had quite an elderly lady tour guide who was very paranoid. It was raining, there was no shelter, and she didn't allow us to board the bus till she had cited our tour voucher. She could have done this after we are all seated in the bus, and before the bus moved off.

Highly recommend! Beautiful drive through the countryside. Didn't care for the Swarovski Museum (was a bit of a joke really!), but Innsbruck is a must-see.

Swaroski and Innsbruck were fantastic. Loved the city of Innsbruck and the horse ride around is a quick great way of seeing the city. Will go again for a longer time. Beautiful.

The trip to Innsbruck was good, the place is very beautiful though there was rain. Our guide was very helpful. We are a bit disappointed with the Swarosky world. We expected to see how the stone was mined and how the different coloured stones were being crafted to the individual shapes and sizes.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds is a very nice place to visit. Quite an interesting museum. _br/_ Innsbruck is a lovely town. On a clear day one can take the mountain train and get views of the city.

We were expecting an insight into how Swarovski is made and we thought the museum would be a display of all the retired pieces from years ago so in that aspect, it was disappointing. I think everyone on the bus loved the store as we all came away carrying a Swarovski bag. I loved the fact that you could pay in your home currency. We then enjoyed a pleasant wander around in Innsbruck.

The drive was wonderful with beautiful scenery. We liked the Swarovski museum as I collect the animals. We enjoyed the city, and the shopping was great.

It is worthwhile to visit Innsbruck. Wouldn't say the same of Swarovski Crystal World. Their museum should be free. Prices at their store were not that great.

Innsbruck was fine but the museum was a waste of time and way too much time. Also I was charged extra for the Museum entry, 7 Euros, which wasn't noted when I booked the excursion. It would have been much cheaper and more enjoyable to just take the train to Innsbruck.

Museum was small, but the crystals were neat to see. It is really all about getting you to shop, which you have to expect if you sign up. Innsbruck is a cute town and great for a half-day trip. You could also easily do this trip on your own and at your own pace. The trip seemed a tad short for me in Innsbruck, and the bus ride was long.

The Swarovski World of Crystal is a tourist trap and a rip-off. It costs an additional 7.50 euros for the 'museum' which leads to a gift shop. Personally, I could have done without Swarovski World of Crytstal. Innsbruck was definitely worth doing. It has charming but small old town. The guide directed me to the tourist office in Innsbruck. The tourist office was most helpful and suggested, I take the new Nordpark railway up the mountain, which I did. As I had packed my lunch, I had time to walk around the old town and go up the mountain. There are an abundant amount of restaurants in Innsbruck, if you need a place to eat. It is a lovely town. In Innsbruck a trip to the tourist office is essential, if you are interested in more than just shopping and eating at a restaurant.

The tour was great. The only thing Viator needs to put on our vouchers is where we were going. Ours only had a picture, and some of the tour guides were very confused by this.

We spent half the time at the crystal museum as we did in Innsbruck City, and it should have been the other way around. The museum and its surroundings were beautiful and scenic, while there was nothing to do in the city other than eat or drink. Our guide wasn't particularly friendly either.

I didn't realize that a tour around the actual factory was not included, but the trip to Innsbruck was very good.

This was my third trip to Innsbruck. The time spent at both Innsbruck and Swarovski with Viator was well worth the visit. The guide provided good information and maps before we got to each stop, answered all our questions, and was extremely gracious.

This was such a good trip. The weather wasn't all that great, but the tour guide we had and the locations we visited were great. The tour guide was extremely well prepared, helpful, gave lots of information about the area, and gave us a map of Innsbruck. He was there when we needed to ask questions and let us roam when we wanted too. This was the best of the four tours I have booked through Viator.
