Crescent City Nights Walking Tour

New Orleans, United States of America

Enjoy an evening as a New Orleans native and meet people from around the world on this intimate tour of dining and music in the French Quarter! You will dine at an authentic New Orleans restaurant, tour Bourbon Street, enjoy original jazz music, and be treated to Café Au Lait and Beignets - a New Orleans tradition.

The evening begins with a three course dinner at Tujagues Restaurant, a New Orleans tradition since 1856 and the second oldest restaurant in the New Orleans. You will have an memorable experience, steeped in the original Creole tradition. Tujague's was a Spanish armory and was even established before New Orleans got its name!

The evening winds down with another local tradition - Café Au Lait and Beignets. This combination of chicory coffee and French doughnuts is served at Café du Monde, the original French market stand.

This tour was great for myself having never been to the city and needing guidance in what to see. However, the entire tour could very easily be experienced on your own. For what it was it was good, especially since the guide provides insight into the city that you wouldn't have received otherwise.

The diner was good. The guide was too old and we walked only with 3 persons, not a group like we thought it would be. We saw bourbon street and had a drink with live jazz music, but it was very short. We don't recommend this tour. You can go on your own to bourbon street. It's easely to do.

A pleasant night out, the food was quite good, and the jazz good quality old-style jazz - which I much prefer. For me, it was a little bit sedate, but I think it's well suited to an older crowd, who's looking for a relaxing dinner and meeting some new people, a drink with a bit of jazz sitting at a table, and some coffee and binets afterwards. Definitely recommended, but for a younger person I'd put the Southern Comfort cocktail tour first on the list.

The guide was amazing--he told us lots of stories about the city, the landmarks, and answered questions. We had a great dinner, individual choice of entree--I chose chicken which was delicate and delicious--and the jazz was also fun. We sat up front, so you hear and see it all. Cafe Du Monde is also not to be missed! It was cozy and fun--perfect for couples or people alone like I was. You feel welcome, as though you are in a mini-family!

My brother and I took this tour on our first evening in New Orleans. It is a very good introduction to both the nightlife and to the city itself. The dinner at Tujague's was superb. We had a really good time at the jazz performance that we were taken to and the beignets were fantastic. Our guide was very informative and pointed out many interesting facts about the city as we went along. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans, especially on their first night.
