We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with the NYC Hop on Hop off tour! Our kids had a great time, were entertained and the bus came often so we rarely had to wait for more than 5-10 minutes. We would definitely use Viator the next time we travel to a new city to help us book our tours! Thanks for all the help.

Very informative tour of the areas, however the buses were very difficult to get on as they were over crowded. Needed to wait 1.5 hours before we could board an available bus. This was not fun as the weather was freezing..

We had a great time on the hop on-hop off bus. It gave us a really good overview of the city, the guides were fun and informative and we felt we really got our monies worth, especially considering the night tour and the harbour cruise included in the price._br/_ We took a 14 day cruise after our city tour and told a lot of people about our experience. I have done this tour before but it was very convenient to buy it ahead of time. We avoided all those reps on the street trying to sell us the package. Went to Madame Tusseau. Exchange the voucher for the tickets and voila!. Perfect way to see a lot of the city very quickly. Will do it again.

The first day on the guide on the uptown loop was very good but the second day when we were downtown at Battery Park we had to wait twenty minutes for a bus to arrive and then three buses were combined on to the one we were on and then we were informed that the speakers weren't working. Try to hear a guide without a speaker in New York City. It was awful. We got off after the second stop. Later in the day we had the best guide I have had on these tours. We have a lot of visitors from Europe and I think it is a great way for people to see the city.

We were with four adults and had never visited New York before so we wanted to see as much as possible during our 4 day trip._br/_ Our Hop-on Hop-off gave us a beautiful tour trough entire Manhattan (and a bit beyond) with, in general, very good and skilful tourguides. Especially a guy who named himself "Josh the tourguide" was very entertaining and made us laugh. _br/_ We saw a lot of things from our wishlist that we wanted to see._br/_ We also did the evening tour which was beautiful to see and was very relaxing._br/_ Unfortunately, a guy who had quiet a lot to drink was also on the tour and he was very annoying._br/_ The boat trip we did was great. And not only for the beautiful weather._br/_ We highly recommend this tour and cruise._br/_ You see a lot of the Big Apple for a very reasonable price and we will this do this trip again if we visit New York in a few years time hopefully.

It was very confusing as to where to exchange the online paperwork for the actual tickets. Ended up going three different locations. The tour itself was wonderful! I think next time I'll just wait until I get to NY and buy my tickets there.

Great and knowledgeablee guides. Good routes. Pity that we were so badly let down by buses that didn't turn up on sunday afternoon so we couldn't take advantage of the night trip (already paid for) and had to get up extra early next day to fit in harbor cruise and uptown bus before flying home. Be careful where you get on and off - they aim to fill the buses at the start and ends of the route so if you're standing at stop 2,3, or 4 your chance of getting on any bus is very very low. It's not quite the hop-on / hop-off that it claims to be when you actually come to use it. If you strike lucky with the buses - buying the all-in 2 day ticket is great value for money.

The ride itself was great and the tour guide was excellent._br/_ The venue for exchanging the voucher for tickets was a disaster. There was no clear indication either at the site or in the directions as to the exact location of the place. Having it mixed in with Madame Toussaud's ticketing was ridiculous._br/_ I would tell people to avoid your tour, in spite of the excellent ride, because of the Times Square situation.

Heard good things about this bus but I was quite disappointed. It was freezing to be on the top deck, especially for the night tour so be prepared for the cold! There was a cycling race on while we were there so many of the main roads that were vital to the tour were closed, we were forced to take detours and were stuck in traffic for ages not budging anywhere. The Brooklyn tour was cancelled that day without any notice to anyone as well. It would have been nice if we were warned about the race and cancellations by the ticket agents before we submitted our vouchers so they could have been used another day but no one said anything about all this. I don't think I will use this again.

Bus stops a little hard to find, but giving the vast size of the City then this would possibly a have a little to do with that! The tour guides on each of the tours we took were excellent in terms of info and humour, as a family we all learned a little more about the city we thought we knew about......

This tour company was horrible. Due to employees arguing profanely on the street and buses going "out of service" for no apparent reason, we were forced to change buses twice in a 10-minute period of time. Also, there were not as many buses touring on the east side, so thankfully the red Grayline bus allowed us to board with them from the downtown pickup point. AND, the office where you pick up the bus ticket also sold us tickets to get into the American Museum of Natural History where they told us that we would not have to wait in line since our tickets would be pre-paid...not so, the security guard at the museum directed us to the end of the 5-hour line-up in the rain, even after showing him our pre-paid tickets. We had to pay for a cab to get back to the office to wait in line in order to get a refund!

The Habour cruise was really good. The uptown tour and museum stop was a bit boring. The downtown tour was interesting and informative. The only real downside to this tour was the night tour. I was really looking forward to this but it just took us round and round the same roads and it was freezing. Would recommend the harbour cruise and the downtown tour but leave the rest.

The night time tour was good, a very lively and animated tour guide (tho tends to get quite angry and irrate with the bus driver for driving to fast!) However we struggled with the hop on hop off bus tour. The buses just dont come often enough, we were left in the cold and rain for over half an hour waiting for a bus, so in the end gave up and got the subway!

We didn't manage to do the night tour due to insufficient time. Overall, the 2-day tour is worthy of money and informative. It will be even better if the Uptown Tour bus can arrivestart on time, as the stated beginning time was 9 am, but the 1st bus didn't arrive at the beginning stop until 945 am.

Voucher exchange was very efficient and I was on my first tour within 15 mins of exchanging my ticket. Trips were good and offered an excellent insight into New York and its history. Sometimes confusing which Bus Stop to wait at.

A superb insight to everything in Manhattan and beyond. I particularly enjoyed the night tour when the city lit up before our eyes, the night time views from Brooklyn, and the Harbour cruise. All the tour guides were friendly and informative. This was our second trip to New York, and first time on the tour, and we really wish wed done it last time as we feel we know the city a lot better now and cant wait to come back!

This is the best way to see the whole of New York at a cheap rate. The tour is incredibly comprehensive, and you don't miss anything. You can get off at any of the stops and know that another bus will come past every 15 minutes, which is great. The tour operators are visible from all major stops, and you can't get lost. The nighttime tour to Brooklyn is something you absolutely have to do! I paid extra to go to the Statue of Liberty, so the harbour cruise was a bit of a waste. On the whole, I highly recommend it.

Inexpensive way to see and learn about NYC. The on-bus commentaries were interesting, and the fact you you can jump off at any of the stops to visit a chosen location at greater length, while still being able to continue the rest of the bus ride at your leisure, should accommodate all visitors.
