The address of Pier 78 on the confirmation printout is not correct. For a first time visitor to NYC, I did not know how to take the "free shuttle" at the bus stops. I got lost because Pier 78 is NOT on 38th Street West. I took a cab and the driver could not find Pier 78, he insisted that the address is incomplete. I missed the cruise of Dec 24th and had a terrible Christmas Eve. Viator rescheduled the cruise for me on Dec 30th. I was able to find my way to Pier 78 on Dec 30th only because I knew by then how to get to Pier 83 for the Cruise, the vendor clearly wrote the address for Pier 83 (12th Ave and 42nd Street.) and we were told to take the public bus M42 along 42nd Street. It was strait forward. Although I enjoyed the cruise on Dec 30th, I am very upset that the address of Pier 78 isn't properly stated. I got lost, paid $10 to the cab driver for nothing and in a panic, I left my pair of leather gloves and ear muffs in the cab. I ended up in Pier 78 on Dec 24th very late, walking alone along a derserted 40th St West. The Greyhound bus drivers parked along 40th St West directed me to the pier. They said I should make my way to Pier 78 even if I am too late for the cruise. Pier 78 is surely not on 38th Street West. I later went and replaced my lost gloves and ear muffs and retired to my room early on Christmas Eve.

The cruise was great but I will never book another tour through Viator. I was told that we would be picked up from the hotel at the time of booking. Then once I confirmed they told us we had to go to visitor center to get picked up. Once at the visitor center we were told no buses would be picking up. We ended up walking over 20 blocks to the Pier in 30 degree weather! Tour guide was fantastic but getting there was a nightmare. Viator promised something that was not delivered!

Fantastic tour guide, nice boat, a very romantic evening! I would totally recommend this to tourists and New Yorkers alike. Only thing I didn't like was having to wait for nearly an hour for the bus to take us to 42nd Street.

I specifically chose this boat tour because of the bus pick-up in the city. I tried calling on Sunday and got a voicemail message saying they closed at 4 pm. It was 3:50 pm and there was no reason why I wasn't able to speak to a live person. The website said there was a bus pick-up at the Hilton. We waited over 40 minutes with no bus in sight. Had to take a cab to the pier and barely arrived in time for the twilight tour. I do not recommend this tour.

Next to the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building this was the highlight of our stay in NY and by far the cheapest. Our guide was a local man who knew absolutely everthing about NY. The sights were amazing as the sun went down and we returned close to the Statue of Liberty where the boat stoped to give us chance to take photographs.

Was Fantastic, the guide was extreemly knowlegable and cheerful. Not so much twighlight mind was still light so didn't see the lights as expected, but still great. Try the day crusis from the same pier it's also excellent.

The twilight cruise was a stormy one! It poured with rain and hailed in places, and really upset some of the other tourists! We loved it tho! The guide was v.knowledgeable... and patriotic! We saw some lovely view of the city skyline all lit up. It was very romantic...especially when my boyfriend proposed to me at the back of the boat :) (on our anniversary of 10 years together!) It is a moment I will remember forever, in the rain sailing past the bright lights of New York City. :) (the only minus I would give this trip was that the guide kept telling off a foreign lady for standing up to take photos because she was blocking our view...I know he meant well but the poor woman couldn't understand him!!)

The tour guide was lively and full of interesting information. However the night we went on the tour the weather was awful, rain and wind so visibility was reduced quite a lot. If it wasn't for that then the tour would've been perfect!

Excellent trip although we were expecting to be collected from the hotel and were told we had to go to a particular street and avenue (some way away) to be collected. Difficult to spot which bus we were supposed to catch -p confusing. Trip excellent but transportation not. Bus drivers very grumpy and rude and not prepared to assist with questions rate trip 4 stars but transportation 1 star

My family and I really enjoyed the tour. The lighted skyline is spectacular. It would have been better to visit the Statue of Liberty before entering the East River rather than leave it to the end. But otherwise, great tour!

I took my husband on the twilight cruise for his 30th b-day and we had a great time! The cruise director was upbeat and very informative. I did not think that I was going to learn a lot on the tour since I had grown up in the area but I was surely wrong. The information provided by the director was interesting. The cruise itself was very nice and very relaxing. I would recommend this cruise to others!

I did the 7:30 departure in August. A perfect time, the sun was setting as we departed and we had plenty of time to see the skyline/buildings in the light and then on the way back with the twinkling lights on, beautiful! Great photo ops close to the Statue of Liberty, comfortable bench seating. One big problem though, we actually wanted to hear what the guide was saying, and even though we moved to sit right under the speaker we couldn't hear a single thing. Sorry to have missed that, as it was the first time visiting for most of us and there is so much history to point out. All in all, truly excellent value and a great time, it was a bonus to get the free bus up to Times Square at the end of the tour!

The cruise was great. The bus info did not seem accurate. Our hotel knew nothing about the shuttle to the pier, and the company's buses never did come by us on 42nd Street heading to the pier. We ended up walking and then taking the bus back.

We enjoyed the twilight cruise on 9/11. It was the perfect way to view the Manhattan skyline, the "ground zero" tribute lights, the waterfall art under the bridges, and the Statue of Liberty. The tour guide was very informative of what you were viewing. Would highly recommend doing this twilight cruise any clear evening!

Wonderful! Would really advise this trip. Great value for money. Bus took us down to the quay and returned us to Times Square. Guide on board excellent. Wonderful photo opportunities even stopped by Statue of Liberty for more photos. Refreshments on board if wanted but might have missed something if we had gone below deck to get one! GREATLY RECOMMEND!
