Just back from our first NYC visit and wanted to let you know that we booked a day trip with you on the 24th March and had the most fantastic time. An excellent day out! Saw most of the things that we would have expected to see. Guide (David) was very informative and we really quite enjoyed his harmonica. Duane (the driver) was also very friendly and had a great sense of humour. Did a good job of avoiding the traffic in the busy streets. Lunch was just so-so; don't expect too much. Boat trip, however, was very good. David took us on a quick diversion through Wall Street which was unexpected and a real treat. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to all. Top of the Rock at the end rounded the tour off nicely. This was our second trip to New York but it was still great to sit on a super comfortable bus with HUGE windows, sit back and just let someone else tell you all about it. Brilliant!

The tour was nice and the guide knowledgeable except for the end when to everyones surprise and shock the tour guide insisted on a tip of 15-20% from everyone for himself and the driver. Money had to be placed in a big tub at the front of the bus as we walked out, and he watched us....I paid a total of a few hundred dollars for the tour for myself, a single mother and my 3 children (Our home currency was R8.80 =$1). Tips are optional, when service is exceptional and not for something that is part of a persons regular job. Many people cannot afford such big tips. Some people, me and my kids included, were offended and even embarrassed by the arrogance and disrespect for the circumstances of others as a result of forcing people to pay you extra and left without going up to the Top of the Rock, the last stop :((

This tour was a disgrace. We had an old man as a guide and he was useless. We would drive past places of interest and then he would tell us about them so we didnt get to see them. We didn't visit anything of interest. We were stuck in some dive of a grotty souvenir shop for thirty minutes while we waited to have lunch because the restaurant wasn't ready for us. Lunch was ok but limited choices and the food was pretty average. We never got to do 'top of the rock' because it was too busy. Very disappointing given we had paid for this as part of the tour. The cruise to statue of Liberty was good though and this was run through a separate tour company. I would def not do this tour again nor would I recommend it. Next time I would do the hop on hop off tour.

as we only had three days in new york this trip is a must. saw all the important sites . Bus was comfortable and the driver and guide were excellent and very funny. price is excellent . enjoyed the boat trip and our stay in little italy. a great way to see a lot of new york . it would have taken us days to see all that we did on this trip. the guide lee was excellent and his knowledge of the city fantastic. cant recommend this trip or viator highly enough. they made my families stay in new york enjoyable and hassle free

Great value for money with a lovely lunch included. We saw so much in a day, great for 1st timers in NYC. Guided knew his stuff but he was a bit too old and not a very clear and articulate voice to be doing this job. Hard to understand, especially for older, hearing impaired people.

Our tour guide Dave and driver Dwain were brilliant. Dave, 74, was full of vigour and so knowledgeable not only on Manhattan but literature,art and music. He made everyone feel welcome as he knew a bits of quite a few languages as he has visited 44 countries. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the lunch let the tour down. Maybe if you went with the pasta it might have been ok but not a quality meal.

The bus driver knew how to avoid the crowded streets and we reached our destinations right on schedule. Made the tour less rush and we could enjoy our time quite well. The only regret was that we couldn't really visit the 9-11 site but can only see it from afar because the guide didn't want us to get lost in the crowd.

Loved this tour, apart from the Tour Guide 'David'. If you get this tour guide run and get your money back. When he was speaking on the bus, you could not understand what he was saying and when we got off the bus, he would take off straight away and not wait for all travelers to get off the bus before his narration of the neighbourhood we were visiting. He also had a mouth organ he played and sang, which was not called for on a tour of New York. I also found he spoke about his own experience all the time in New York, rather than the history of the places we were seeing. The cruise and lunch was great, but I was surprised we did not go to Times Square on this tour, considering it is a full day tour of New York City.

Very disappointing tour. It was spoilt by the guide. He talked too fast. His clothing looked as though he had slept in it and had not been washed for a few days. He tried to give too much information which was made worse by the amount of times he name dropped about who he had seen and met. Would not recommend.

This was a jam-packed tour. Its a good way to get an overall view of the city. The bus driver was amazing, maneuvering around the city. The guide was a walking encyclopedia. He knew so much about the city and had character. He even blew a few short tunes on his harmonica. He told you anything you wanted to know about everything in NYC, such as who lived where and when various buildings were designed and built and by who. We stopped at Grant's Tomb, Little Italy for lunch (would have liked a few more minutes there), took the Boat Cruise to view the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, stopped near the 911 memorial-but couldn't see much and then ended at the Top of the Rock. The tour went a little over time, so we got our money's worth. It was perfect timing for the city view at dusk, since it was starting to get dark. I would recommend this tour, its just a long day, so be prepared! Bring extra batteries for your camera.

Well worth doing. I would recommend doing this trip on your first day in NY. You get to see most of NY's major sites and the guide helps you learn things about buildings and locations that you would not know by just walking around on your own. We didn't end up getting a coach but a double decker bus which is better for photos anyway. The boat ride was great and the trip up the Rock was a great end to the tour (you can get a voucher to go at any time...you don't have to go up the Rock with the group. My wife and I got the vouchers and went up the Rock that evening and enjoyed the city all lit up at night).

Over and above the course of duty was him directing the new york traffic so that the coach would arrive at the harbour trip boat on time!!!...Hilarious

We saw so much on this tour. The tour guide was great and very informative. Lunch was delicious. If there was anything that could have been better it would be to get a more detailed flyer of things we went passed. I had trouble remembering everything we saw and all the buildings. I would definately do this trip again. Highlight - ferry to see Statue of Liberty.

This tour covered most of the sights that we wanted to see in the short time that we have in NY. As we travelled on the open top deck of the double decker, we also experienced a feel of the bustling atmosphere of this busy city. The guide was very informative. Trying to confirm our tour was a bit of a hassle though.
