II went on this tour yesterday with 10 ladies in our group. Our guide, Keve was great. She gave us information about each shop we were going to on the way. Everything was organized well. We has 15-20 minutes at each stop, most did not have fitting rooms, so a tank top is a great idea. Many things are samples and sizes were not marked, so trying things on was helpful. You just cannot get into these shops on you own. This tour is the way to go. Some shops only took cash and Keve told us ahead which ones these were.

I had always wanted to do a shopping trip in the garment district, though I was skeptical about finding anything since I am petite and only like to purchase garments in pastel colors. Our tour guide took us to one shop that had lots of garments in the colors I was looking for and I purchased five pieces of clothing, the most I have ever purchased at one time. We visited with a purse designer, a scarf designer, a jewelry designer, a coat designer and two shops with women's garments. I highly recommend this tour. It started at a notions store where I purchased imitation cameos for $2.25 each. Such a bargain.

As curvy women in our 50s, we were somewhat disappointed at the lack of "fashion" for our sizes. (16-18) but it was an enjoyable 3 hrs (a bit rushed at times) and our guide (I'm sorry I forget her name) was fabulous and I would recommend this tour to friends . I would also go back and tour again if my sizing gets to 10-12

Great fun! Only comment is that there isn't enough time at each location to shop - only half hour, which barely allows time to browse and try things on. Would suggest stretching this tour another hour to make it worthwhile. However, the sample sales were great offering a wide range of merchandise for different tastes.

I enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend it to others. Some of the showrooms had very little to offer and not as high end as I would have liked. Having said that I would still give it 3 stars. Our guide was terrific!

I frankly was somewhat dissappointed in the tour. I thought we would get to see some of the designers at work in their areas,or the design school. There is so much to see, all w did was shop, and that was not so interesting. Sorry, would not recomend this.

Our tour guide was darling. Unfortunately, we weren't very impressed with 3 out of the 6 showrooms. We went to a jewelry showroom which didn't have much to offer. One showroom had a rack to show us that was filled with "undesireable" clothes. I don't think I'd spend the money on it again.

Sarah was a great tour guide and knew a lot._br/_ The only downside would be that the places we visited didn't appeal to my taste as the places we visit were mostly for mature audience and not much garments appealing for the age group of 30 and below.

The girl who took us round was great and really good. The quality of places was not... What the tour suggests and what you get are two different things. We were hoping for more than 2 Design Fashion Houses with quality garments and perhaps Evening Wear. Not sample sales with lots of people.... Also the age group should be revised before taking tours. Look at your Target Audience in design a tour with them in mind, not the masses. Hanging out at the Trimming Store for 1/2 and hour not necessary would have preferred longer at at least two of the designers. Ladies if you think you will be able to try clothes on in dressing room forget it... all on over clothes, so if you are uncomfortable with this not a tour for you. JC Crew girl was completely rude and uniterested in helping anyone. Only the designers themself are worth visiting great input. But once again want to say thanks to our guide, you were great.

Sorry but this excursion was a disappointment. The vendors we were taken to sold merchandise not worth buying. The scarf designer was ok as well as the coat designer. You can keep the rest. I would not recommend this tour.

Outlets and selections were small. Our guide was great but outlets were so-so. Spoke w several people on another viator tour, they highly recommend the Soho shopping tour. I have been on other viator tours but this tour was not worth the price.

A fun day of shopping. The company seemed a little disorganized. Even though reservation is paid ahead by credit card, still must confirm reservation 24 hours before tour. We were at the originating location well before start time, yet still could not find the tour group and the group left without us.

Not quite what we expected but we did enjoy it.I would say this is more for small sized younger people. The designers we met we're very nice and we're very generous with there time. One of my friends got a couple of things which she was very pleased with I might add that she is in her 70's but quite petite so don't let age put you off.

The garment center shopping tour was great! Our guide was very friendly and helpful. This was an experience I will never forget! It was awesome going into designers' offices and getting to meet the designers and getting amazing discounts. At each stop we were told that basically everything that was for sale retails for three times at much in some of the worlds most famous stores, and it was all true. Afterwards we went to some of the stores to confirm what great deals we had gotten! Some places accept credit cards but some are strictly cash only so go prepared! Oh and you should plan on tipping your tour guide.

the tour was great. our tour guide was engaging and personable and we got quite a few great deals that would otherwise not have been possible. the tour is varied and has many different styles of show rooms. this had nothing to do with the tour but one of the designers was not so friendly and clothing not my style but this designer was not the most welcoming and kinda abrasive in personality. i didnt care for her

It is definately worth doing once to familarize yourself with the Garment District. The tour was good, but not great. The tour guide was plesant, but lacked some of the historical information as we had anticipated. We learned alot about her and not so much about the Garmet District. Also, the places visited varried from absolutely great to mediorce.

Our tour guide was an absolute joy! She was very knowledgeable of the area. We visited several showrooms that are not open to the public unless you are on this tour. We got to meet and buy a sample dress from Project Runway's, Kara Manx. There were several samples to choose from at each stop and came in many sizes. Most of the showrooms took cash, so stop by the ATM before venturing out. Our tour guide even gave us other tips about the city/places to eat and other shopping to be sure and do. This tour is well worth the money! It is a must if you are a bargain hunter or just love to shop. We will go on this tour again when we are in New York.

This tour took us to several designer showrooms and we were given the privilege of buying one of a kind designs for wholesale prices! Our guide was excellent and very energetic. She even helped us get tickets for "Hair" in the Park. Super tour and guide!
