After being collected from your Midtown Manhattan hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Upstate New York (approximately one hour). On arrival, you will be met by your guide for the day to board the bus to Niagara Falls.

After lunch, it's time to board the famous "Maid of the Mist" boat for an up-close Niagara Falls experience. The 30-minute cruise takes you through the foaming waters to the base of the American Falls and the basin of Horseshoe Falls. You will get close enough to the falls to feel their cool mist on your skin.

The "Maid of the Mist" operates only in the warmer months, typically from May to October, so if you are traveling from November to April you may visit the Journey Behind the Falls instead. An elevator takes you behind the great sheet of Niagara Falls for a thunderous up-close view of Niagara Falls. Please note that "Maid of the Mist" may cease to operate earlier than October 31 depending on weather.

The Falls themselves are spectacular and well worth the trek however the tour was a shambles. We were told to be at the pick up point at 4.00am but were not collected until after 5.00am, we were expecting to be back in NYC at approx 4.30pm but were not returned until 11.00pm, the first we heard about the change in the return flight was when we were leaving so to fill in time our guide took us to see every interesting or not in Niagara, I did not sign up for a tour of power plant and about 10 other things in the freezing cold. Dont be put off going to Niagara but just reconfirm your return flight times the day before.

This was an expensive but excellent tour, if you can only afford one day to travel to / from New York to Niagara Falls. Everything went like clockwork - shuttle pick at hotel, boarding passes ready at airport, tour operator waiting at Niagara, approx 7 hours actually at Niagara Falls on both USA and Canada sides, 4 course buffet lunch at 4* hotel overlooking the falls, visit to many other interesting sights around the falls themselves. Guide spoke 3 languages fluently to all tour guests, and went out of his way to show us as much as possible. this was a small group tour of 15, which was also great. One of the best run tours I've been on. Only one downside was the bus wasn't air conditioned throughout, only for the driver, so it got very hot indeed at times.

Very expensive for one day, however Niagara Falls is absolutely amazing to see. Its something you would only need to see once in your life. It was great that the guide took you down underneath the falls, to see how much water is coming down, and to hear the loud sound it makes. I liked that you had buffet lunch at a hotel that over looks the falls. You are out the whole day, from 3 am - 10pm. Very well organised. If you are thinking of doing it, I would reccommend it to anyone

Brilliant! A must do for anyone visiting NY for the first time. The flight, the tour and Eduardo our guide was wonderful. Lunch at the Sheraton in Canada with the Falls right outside the floor to ceiling windows while dining was an incredible sight! The rush of the mountainous volume of water rushing above us while walking through the tunnels underground was exhilarating. Seeing the Rapids and the Falls from the American side was awesome so at a loss for words to describe the thunderous and spine tingling view from the Canadian side! Photos do not do it justice. It is an experience that will never be forgotten once experienced! Thank you to Viator! Having booked the tickets from Australia before leaving for New York was the best! Everything worked magnificently and so efficiently. A memory that will linger forever.

We totally enjoyed our day trip to Niagra Falls.I only have one complaint and that was on our flight to Buffalo my husband and I were not seated together.As this was a very special event for us this was a little disappointing.We made our concerns known to our tour guide when we reached Buffalo and he was very understanding and made sure we were seated together on our return flight to New York.I feel if just a little more care was taken in that area would be greatly appreciated.Other than that the day was all that we had hoped for.

Day went smoothly. A choice of where to start the trip would have been helpful. We could have taken the subway to Rockefellow Center but had to take a taxi to the Metro Hotel.

I could give this tour three stars or five depending on what you are looking for in a trip. If you are traveling with a group of friends or are very social with strangers then this could rate a five star tour. If you are traveling solo and just want to see the falls, then taking the tour takes a lot longer than necessary. Joe, the tour guide, was great and had our entry to the Maid of the Mist organized very well, but after we saw the falls, we could have returned to New York and done what we wanted to see in half a day. As a couple traveling, we did not particularly want a sit down lunch, then go back to another part of the falls to be left wandering for a couple of hours. the facilities at Goat Park are very ordinary with a poor cafe that couldn't even serve a hot coffee. If the weather is cold there is no shelter and we ended up sitting in the drizzle just wishing the bus would leave early for the airport. don't get me wrong, VIator organize this well and would be a great day for a group. But in hind sight, I would have booked the air tickets, caught a cab to the Maid of the Mist, cabbed it back to the airport and flown back to NY in about five hours total.

For a first time visitor, it was awesome. The guide was helpful, stayed with us until we boarded our return flight. The cost was a little pricey but i have no regrets. Some of what I have seen in NY was less than expected but not the case for Niagara Falls. I would recommend this trip to anyone who can afford it if it's your first time visiting. Enjoyed every minute of the tour.

Niagara Falls was fantastic. Driver collected me from my hotel and was dropped off at the airport - greeted by a guy who provided the group with boarding passes. The flight to Buffalo was quick and we were greeted at that end by our guide - Giuseppe. One of the best guides I had on my tours. He gave us a rundown on what was happening on the tour and brief history of the landmarks that we passed during our travels. We had a Buffet lunch at the Sheraton (on the Canadian side) was great and the group was given plenty of time to look around and have time by ourselves. The whole tour was fabulous and was even better with Giuseppe as the guide - he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip.

Fabulous full day trip starting with hotel pick up exactly on time at 5.40 am! Our guide was very good and we stopped off at various points to get views from both Canadian and American side. Buffet lunch was excellent -on top of hotel so wonderful views while we ate. Only hiccup was we were rerouted to fly back from Rochester instead of Buffalo and plane was delayed so we didnt get back to our hotel till 11 pm but otherwise was an excellent trip and worth the money. Very well organised and delivered what it promised.

Everyone should see the falls but don't go with this tour company. Driver Mel was great but the guide Edwaurdo told us very little about the history of the area. Then he took about 20 minutes dropping off some indian passengers who didn't have a visa to cross to canada at the expense of the other 30 passengers on the bus. The border car stops had no more than 2 or 3 cars at any time collectively yet had 80% of their staff. There was one guard processing all buses which at one time coming home numbered 7 in the queue. if the US and canada customs want to promote tourism they are doing it the wrong way. They are overly officious and rude and power driven. At the airport coming home my wife and i were seated in different rows yet the staff nor Edwaurdo cared at all. Very poor service all round !! If you do this it's a long day but more time at the falls instead of sitting in a bus at the whim of some cranky border staff would be better and the tour guides need a lot of improvement..

Now they have a charter plane and you don't have to fly into Buffalo or Rochester, now you fly directly in Niagara Falls! Fabulous Tour guide was ok and the food at the Sheraton was not that great, just filled the hunger gap. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.

This trip seems expensive until you have done it! then you realise it was worth it. The falls are the most amazing thing we have ever seen! the driver we had was great, very friendly, felt like a very personal tour, there was 6 of us in our group and 1 other couple. Lunch was brilliant, lovely food,great service,great views of the falls. I was slightly concerned that it was going to be a very long day after reading other people's reviews but for us it was OK, we where picked up from our hotel at 8am and dropped back off at 11pm but I guess this depends on your flight times.

Our trip to Niagara Falls was fantastic and one of the highlights of our trip! We were dissapointed however with our tour guide as we didnt really feel that he made any effort to engage with his customers which is an important part of a successful tour. We also encountered a problem when we left Canada due to us not having our green card filled out. We were treated quite rudely and were not advised at all that it needed to be filled out we were only told we needed our passports so that was also dissapointing. We still had a great day but also noticed that at the end of the tour there were not many tips being given to the guide...we did however still tip
