Views from the empire state building were spectacular. Time it right to see daylight and NY at night._br/_ Sky Ride was horrific. I felt sicj as did my 19 year old son. It was suprisingly violent in shaking us around considering no warnings were given.

Well worth doing the tour very insightful, would give the NY skyride a miss it was a bit lame but if you are going in high peak season it will help you skip the long lines.

this was great , having waited in a long queue a few years ago with this ticket we were straight up! the sky ride was good too as part of the ticket offer but probably wouldnt have done it separately. a great day to remember whilst celebrating our dads 60th birthday.

Really enjoyed the Empire State Building Observatory - don't miss it. Having a Viator ticket meant we could jump the queue. There's an option to pay extra and go up an additional 15 floors. _br/_ But the NY Skyride was pretty much a waste of time - give it a miss.

The obsevatory was great, but the NY skyride was gruesome. I really thought my hubby was going to be sick, and he had to shut his eyes the entire time. Had we known in advance how violent this was going to be, we would have passed. Future info to customers should warn those with motion sickness issues that this is NOT the adventure for you.

Loved the sky ride and it set the scene for us to go sightseeing. The only disappointment was the weather on the day that we booked the observatory was so bad that we couldn't go out - not Viator's fault though!

THe NY skyride is a little outdated but fun. This ticket gave us immediate access to go up to the Observatory. No waiting no line. Great.

This portion of our trip was great. Unfortunately, we booked 2 tours with "Onboard Tours" that were a total disaster.

Seven of us visited this attraction I was not impressed by the actual Skyride but the view from the observation deck is great. You do need to buy the map which they sell in the shop for $7 as there are no information boards on the observation deck so consequently if you don't buy a map you don't know what you are looking at!!! Thanks to Viator for arranging it saves a lot of time as the Empire State is very busy we went early Sunday morning and it was heaving.

The Empire State Building was magnificent as ever but the SKYRIDE was a disappointment. The film they are using is so dark you can barely see it. The focus wasn't sharp, it was a copy of a copy of a copy. RIPOFF!

wow, what a wonderful view and exciting time spent. The whole family loved this tour and skyride. One comment, skyride commentarty was a bit silly. I would have enjoyed more details about teh city and nto so much slapstick.

This was a terrible experience! The skydive was a total waste of time - a long wait to see a short, ridiculous show with " effects " straight out of the fifties. The view from the top is not worth the money or time spent in slow moving lines with surly, miserable staff. This whole attraction should be revamped until then - Skip this one !!!

The skyride was very disappointing, was expecting something more. Could be done alot better but basically its a large screen in front of you and you sit in in box that moves. Way too long of a wait, took over an hour to get to skyride then 2 films which you have to stand to watch on small tv's takes 30 min. till you get to the big let down the sky-jack ride.

A thouroughly dissapointing experience - Totally over rated and took two hours to get to the observation deck - Go very early in the morning to avoid the waiting time - Pointless booking advance tickets as staff directed us to the general ticket office instead of the express route for pre paid tickets_br/_ - Must say the sky ride was great and enjoyed by the family - The check in for the Sky Ride was poorly organised and the staff were very rude in comparison with every other person we met on our five day visit to New York

By booking SKYRIDE we managed to skip the queues however we needed to ask loads of times where to go as very confussing. The entry we were advised to take was closed and if we hadn't asked we would have just joined the LONG queues.

Bypassing the long queue we started our tour on the NY Skyride which gave a never been seen before view of the streets of New York! When we had recovered we were quickly and efficiently taken to the observatory where the views literally took your breath away. Although crowded there is no time limit on your stay at the top so plenty of time to get that all important photo.

I loved the Observatory but would recommend skipping the SkyRide. Waited on endless lines even though tickets were pre-paid and the SkyRide was very lame. I would have been much happier to just go straight up to the observatory.

Best pre booked on the net to avoid the first que.go as early as possible to avoid the crowds. It was very crouded at 10 am. It was hard to get a viewing spot. The 102 floor was very good. Not crowded and well worth the extra cost to get their. The Empire is my sentimentle favourit. C Anderson Perth Australia

We arrived at The Empire State Building at 8-00am and followed the instructions to carry out the vip 'queue jump' but unfortunately we were redirected back into the ordinary queue. So we had to wait around 15 -20 minutes to get through security and then a further 10 mins to queue for the ticket office. When we got to the ticket office we were told we should have gone straight to the sky ride kiosk. This we did but because of all this we miissed out on a map and audio guide for the top of the building. We would have been better off arriving at 7-30am and going through the regular channel. Sky ride itself was nothing spectacular but the views from the 86th floor were awesome!

Empire State Building is a must & very enjoyable. However, the NY Skyride was not impressive at all & a waste of money. The film is so fast at times you can't appreciate the views it is showing. It lacks the sensation that you are actually 'flying' as the screen is too small, you can see all around it & even when the lights are out you can see the wall. If I were to turn back time, I'd have just done the ESB. You see much more. The rating reflects ESB as that was well worth it.

Because we booked with Viator we seemed to get the cheapest price and that included the sky ride. We didnt have to wait in the normal queue. We went in a side door. So our wait was very short. Excellent.
