"The Lion King" musical tells the Hamlet-like tale of Simba, prince of African lions, who battles his evil Uncle Scar for the throne. But before Simba can take his rightful place in the "Circle of Life", he grows up with his two fun-loving friends, wisecracking meerkat Timon and smelly warthog Pumbaa. Together they teach Simba their philosophy of life, "Hakuna Matata" (No Worries).

Based on the 1994 Disney film, and book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, the musical includes the Oscar-winning song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". Additional songs are by Hans Zimmer, Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin.

This visual feast is famous for director Julie Taymor's complex animal-puppet-human fusion, and is loved by audiences of all ages.

Wonderful - had seen it previously in Sydney but my husband hadn't. The Viator tickets were more affordable than purchasing directly from theatre for this show. We enjoyed it very much.

Tickets were waiting at check in. Was first time I have ordered liked this and everything went very smooth would recommend. And my 3rd time seeing Lion King. There is nothing to compare to this show. It is the best if you can only see one See this one. You will not regret it.

Was my 3rd show to see on Broadway in NYC-was rumoured to be the best but without doubt it was 10 times better than any of my expectations..the music...animals are so life-like,actors come through the aisles @ the unexpected moment! It was worth every single cent and my seat was fantastic-Orchestra and Middle. Highlight of the trip-dont think twice just book it and once the show starts you'll be in awe and never stop smiling...i didn't!

Had no problem getting the tickets when we got to the Theatre (there were 8 of us), went straight in and had brilliant seats (all together) the show is fabulous really well worth the money, if you really want to go to a Broadway Show don’t go to New York without booking tickets through an agency first, there were people there trying to get tickets but sold out, they were told to come back tomorrow there was no guarantee they would have tickets though.

Viator got me great seats (front row, center)! It's a great show, and if you go when they're doing the Broadway Cares (a fundraiser for AIDS relief), you can pay a bit extra to go on a backstage tour with a cast member. It's very cool!

The show itself was excellent - great performances meant the whole family was riveted. The tickets were OK. They were in row V, however the theatre is not huge. We did have some difficulty in seeing the stage as we unfortunately had a number of tall people right in front of us.

Excellent show...not to be missed. Getting tickets through Viator was so easy. Having your voucher in advance means no queuing for tickets at pre-specified times.And without knowing the theater layout, they chose the best seats available that night. We were on the floor in the 12th row. I would definitely choose Viator again for getting theater seats.

Would give 5 stars for the Play - it was superb and there is no question about it. As for Viator - It offered us no clue as to which seat we bought ? So we meekly had to accept the tickets that were issued to us at the window and they were way backward in U !!!

Some friends said to wait until we got to New York to get tickets, but I got them anyway and so glad I did! It was well worth the little extra money I spent. The whole theatre stood up at the end of the show to express their gratitude to the actors and actresses and the crew who gave them fantastic moment. My son of 4 and a half year old was screaming at the exciting moment when Simba fought agrressively with enemies. However, the frustrated thing is ticket online is much more expensive than the tickets sold at my hotel where I stayed. Another thing is online registration was full more than a month prior to the show, but tickets are still available when I came to NYC. The best way is to ask for your acquaintance in NYC to buy it for you instead. Each agency sells different prices as well, you can bargain.
