Italy's colorful markets are famous for their leather goods, accessories, luggage and fashion. Shop to your heart's content on this small-group day trip from Nice to the markets of the Italian Riviera. After complimentary pickup from your Nice hotel, sit back and enjoy the gorgeous drive along the Mediterranean coast as you leave the French Riviera and cross the border into Italy. You'll travel by minivan, limited to just eight passengers, ensuring you receive personalized attention from your English-speaking guide.

You'll have about 2.5 hours to shop the markets. You'll also stop for lunch by the beach in Ventimiglia, where Guiseppe's to taste the best pasta in the region (not included in tour price).

As you drive back to the French Riviera along the coastal road, you'll drive through charming Menton, known as the "pearl of France." After a brief stop to walk through the old town, you'll continue along the spectacular High Corniche road, stopping for a photo opportunity of the view over Monaco.

This was a very good tour but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it poured buckets of rain. We did not really get to fully experience the ambiance of San Remo and the beauty of the Italian Riviera as it was so foggy. We had a driver from Med Tours that we had had earlier in the week which really helped to make the trip more enjoyable even with the rain. We were supposed to have some time in Menton but we were so exhausted after fighting the rain in San Remo that we just did a drive by. There were people on our tour that were supposed to spend some time in Monaco while we were in Menton so we spent an hour in Monaco again as we had already been there on Sunday. Thought that this would give us a chance to see the Cathedral but it was only open in the morning so we just went for a coffee as we had already done everything on Sunday.

We really enjoyed our day on this tour. It was a bi-lingual tour in French and English to accommodate our group. We had adequate time to shop and eat along the way. Great value!

The great part of this trip was the scenery going to and from the Italian market - just breathtaking and amazing. Stops along the way were great. Market itself - so/so. I would have preferred a more casual lunch or being able to choose my own restaurant - although the view from the restaurant deck was amazing. I would recommend this trip based on the countryside you get to visit and see outside the market. I would not recommend based on the market itself - it was like a big flea market. Guide was great and very accommodating.

A good experience. But could be better. We stayed in Ventimiglia (the Italian village) for 2 hours. This is just 25 miles from Nice. Then the trip went to Monaco, which I had already done the day before. The guide was good, but the itinerary could be better told to the traveller in advance. Advise: Do this trip with Monaco, and then take another day to do Cannes + Antibes + St Paul de Vence (which are on other side of Nice). Over all a good experience.

Overall it was a good day and a beautiful drive. The market was everything the website claimed and more. Unfortunately, the Tour Guide had a trainee with him and she talked and talked and talked about how much money everyone had and how people became rich - really very boring, annoying commentary. We all wished she would be quiet for just 10 seconds so we could look out the window and enjoy the scenery in peace and quiet! Still, it's worth going... no regrets, I just was glad when it was over.

Loved the opportunity to visit the Market and we had a great guide! The only change I would suggest is that to cancel the trip to Menton on the return - by the time we arrived, the shops were closed for their lunch break. This would allow us more than 2.5 hours at the Italian Market, 2.5 hours is just not enough time.

This was a great trip with something for everyone, including 2 teenagers. Great tour guide Isabelle was very informative and considerate. She had great driving skills. Enjoyed market - time given was perfect. Menton was beautiful. The view from the 3rd corniche was spectaular!A great day out was had by all.

Not what I expected. In the US we can find fleamarkets anywhere with much cheaper prices and better quality. It would been better visiting the town and historical sights than the market. I would recommend the tour guide staying with tourists and explain in more details about the sight visited.
