Ko Olina Coast Dolphin and Snorkel Half-Day Cruise

Oahu, United States of America

Go sailing, snorkeling and dolphin-watching on a fun-filled morning cruise along the Ko Olina coast! Cruise along the southwestern coast of Oahu and admire the beautiful shoreline and turquoise waters. This five-hour adventure, combining a mix of sightseeing and water activity, is perfect for the whole family! Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Your Oahu sailing adventure begins at the Kalaeloa Harbor, where you will board a sleek catamaran and set sail along the Ko Olina coast. See the playful dolphins jump, spin and splash in the water, and keep your eyes peeled for turtles and other marine life. During whale season (November through April), you might even spot a humpback! Enjoy a delicious continental breakfast as you sit back, relax and admire the idyllic scenery.

Next, your captain will stop at a calm snorkeling spot. If you're a beginner, you'll easily learn how to use the snorkeling equipment, how to breathe through the snorkel and what safety measures to remember. The use of mask and fins is included, and you'll receive a snorkel. Jump into the water with your professionally trained guide, and spend 30 to 45 minutes discovering the magical underwater world of Hawaiian marine life. You will see everything from brightly colored coral to schools of tropical fish.

After working up an appetite from snorkeling, sail back to Kalaeloa Harbor as you feast on a buffet lunch, including hot dishes, salads, a gourmet sandwich bar, side dishes and desserts. Enjoy unlimited nonalcoholic drinks and two free alcoholic beverages (for those 21 and up).

Dolphin sightings are guaranteed on this Oahu cruise! In the rare event you do not see dolphins, you will be offered a sunset cocktail cruise or snorkeling adventure for free!

The experience on the boat was quite good and the staff were very friendly. The actual snorkelling part of the cruise was quite disappointing - the area to which we were taken was quite dull with very little colourful sea life - no turtles etc. just a couple of species of fish and some very bland coral attached to a large water pipe which was attached to an electricity generating plant on the shore.

We had a wonderful time even though we didn't get to see any dolphins or whales. The crew was terrific, very attentive, knowledgeable and safety conscious. The weather was lovely, the boat was most spacious and comfortable and the food was yummy--adults were even offered 2 free alcoholic beverages, but at 9am on the windy seas I chose not to take them up on their offer. Best of all by far was the snorkelling. It was our first time and it was just amazing to experience the underwater life of the Hawaiian seas. I strongly recommend this trip, they even picked us up right from our Waikiki hotel.

I thought the staff were lovely but the trip was not worth the money.

We saw dolphins, a whale and we snorkeled. It was everything we expected and with a great staff it was more. The staff was very knowledgeable and they made the cruise a lot more enjoyable. However, I do consider that we were one of the lucky ones to have seen a whale because when we went it was at the end of whale season. This was the best thing I did in Hawaii.

I thought the whole trip was kind of like very informal. I guess I was kind of expecting more since I had done a better quality trip before. I would recommend it only because of the staff in the boat. They were awesome! Kudos to them but the problem was that we didn't snorkel that much or as much as I was expecting.

We didn't see any dolphins or whales. We saw maybe 2 kinds of fish while snorkeling. The captain was very unfriendly!

From beginning to end, this was one of the favorite outings of our 9 day vacation with 10 people! The pickup van was nice, the harbor and the ship were beautiful, and the captain and crew were wonderful! The ship is clean, roomy and well appointed. The equipment was good - we got to take our snorkels home, so there is no reuse or sharing germs. The captain and crew were attentive and generous hosts. The drinks and food were good quality and abundant. The snorkeling was a treat. We didn't get to see dolphins, but that was certainly not for lack of effort by the captain and crew. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family and would do it again ourselves. Thanks, guys, for a great time - I appreciate your participation in our family vacation memories and pictures!

The crew was awesome, and the food and drinks were good; the only thing I was disappointed about was not being able to see any dolphins, but I guess that was beyond the tour operator's control. Overall, it was fun. It doesn't hurt that the company has a crew full of good looking young guys.

Crew was great. They tried to please all. Snorkeling wasn't good as the water was choppy. A secluded cove would have been better.

The sail/snorkel excursion was disappointing. There were only a few varieties of fish and one turtle. The sailing was nice, and the captain and crew were fantastic.
