Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral

Orlando, United States of America

Kennedy Space Center is like an Orlando-style space-travel theme park - only it's real! It's a great day out for the whole family, and only 45 minutes from Orlando. You'll need to plan on spending at least a full day to explore NASA's launch headquarters, located on a huge island wildlife refuge eight times the size of Manhattan.

Choose admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, or go for the Space Pass.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Admission
This includes the Kennedy Space Center tour of NASA's launch headquarters, Shuttle Launch Experience, astronaut encounter, two IMAX films (Space Station 3-D and Magnificent Desolation), all shows and exhibits, and a visit to the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. This pass allows you entrance into the Astronaut Hall of Fame over two within a seven day period.

Space Pass Plus:
This package gives you everything in the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Admission, plus you can have lunch with an astronaut and take the Kennedy Space Center up-close tour and visit the vehicle assembly building to see where rockets are built (reservations required). A wonderful day spent at the Space Center - not at all busy, and no queues waiting for busses or the ride, which was great._br/_ The Space Shuttle Lift-off experience was awesome, and we always enjoy the i-Max shows. Highly recommemded, and much better value for money than Disney and Universal

Ticket price was great. It was a really enjoyable experience the kids also loved it. A highlight of our trip to Orlando and something different to do instead of a theme park . The only thing we did not like was the cost of the photos and the pushy people selling it and overcharging us deliberately. We felt like they had made a mistake and when we questioned it they said we had ordered the cd which we had not but then advised us that they were unable to provide us with a refund then set about explaining the onerous process required to get the overcharged portion refunded which required going to another office at the other side of the park. I expect many people like us never end up getting there money back. It makes you wonder whether it is a deliberate ploy to extract more money from people involuntarily. It put a bit of a sour taste in our mouth after what had been a really great day.

Go soon as this american marvel will be shut down soon and then just commercialized with less emphasis on education. The 3D I max of the Hubble telescope is the most awesome thing I have ever seen on screen (and I have seen a lot).

One day was good, two days was wonderful. This is a part of our heritage, and I am so glad that we had the opportunity to take our grandsons. This facility is professionally run, everyone was extremely helpful and very friendly, even when they had to replace a ticket that I lost! The IMAX movies are not to be missed. Have pictures taken of your kids or grandkids "in space" - what a thrill for them. Did I say we loved it? We took the tour 24 years ago, did as much as we could this time, and we will be back with more kids. I am so proud of our country's accomplishments, and thankful that they are so professionally shared with all of us. My one suggestion - make tour tapes in various foreign languages. It would have helped our son-in-law.

The info on your web site was misleading, you mentioned that the tickets I bought has regular price of 80.00, but in fact at the gate it was 38.00, a 2.00 cheaper the what you charged me, so stop misleading people by pumping up the regular price so people will think they are getting better deal, but in fact they would do better if they bought it from source then you.

Great tour, well worth doing. Did find it initially difficult to get transport to Kennedy Space Center. Our resort organized transport for us. If we had booked for a different day we would not have been able to get there and therefore forfeited ticket.

The bus tour was really fun. We took lots of pictures. Some of the drivers were more talkative that others and gave more information during the ride. We loved being able to depart the bus and stay as long as we wanted at the different stops.

We timed to coincide with orbital launch but the mission was delayed with the hydrogen leak, wouldn't you know it! Still if interested in this stuff a delightful trip. It's also 40 miles from Orlando so plan ahead and take the day.

The space center was very interesting. You should allow a full day to tour. Ensure there is not a launch on the day of your visit since there are three facilities that necessitate a bus to visit in addition to the main facility. On launch days, all bus tours are canceled. Overall, a worthwhile trip.
