Want to race eight laps of the Walt Disney World Speedway like a race car expert? With your hands on the wheel and your foot on the gas, you'll be in the driver's seat of a V8 professional stock car that roars with 600 horsepower. The program lasts around 3 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime!

Your Rookie Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway Orlando includes an orientation session, on-track instruction, photo opportunities and driver's Q&A, before you sliding through the car window and on to the track for 2 to 4 hours of fun-filled driving in a professional Nextel Cup style stock car. You'll be suited up in a regulation helmet, neck guard and drivers suit for your safety. Please remember to bring closed toed shoes.

After the closing ceremony, you'll receive your lap-time sheet and graduation certificate and you'll be a rookie no more!

Your Rookie Experience includes:

• 10 minutes - Orientation and Video: Meet the RPDE staff and watch a short video
• 20 minutes - On-Track Instruction in RPDE Van: Master the track driving line, accel/decel points and more
• 20 minutes - In-Car Instruction and Photos: View the interior equipment; Have your photo taken outside the car
• 10 minutes - Mandatory Driver's Meeting: This is the time to ask any questions and get the driving order
• 1 - 2 hours - Driving Experience (time varies by experience)
• 15 minutes - Closing Ceremony: Receive your lap-time sheet and graduation certificate

My husband participated in the rookie experience and said it was one of the best things he has EVER done. Even though I only observed, I also thought the instructor and the crew were extremely entertaining. Thanks so much - it was a fantastic time!

I was totally satisfied with my driving experience. The instructors were great. In the classroom the instructor said that if you reach 120 mph and do a lap in 41 seconds, that would be great. I reached a top speed of 127 mph and did a lap in 39.26 seconds. I will definitely be attending again so that I can go to the next level. Awesome!

First of all, i have to congratulate Viator, the organiser had all our details names, no problems with booking, very encouraging._br/_ The experience was good, not great, i have travelled faster in other events and got more thrills, they did not consider the experience of the driver, since there were three of us, we all did the same speeds, and it certainly did not feel fast, OK 122MPH, it is not fast, but and experience, yes._br/_ Karting was more fun, real racing......

This was the best day ever, this suits your rookie drivers not those who have had some experience.Booked the 8.00am session and only 9 of us, the other two sessions booked out.Made very welcome, training session put you at ease, i payed for the 3 lap drive along well worth it, you go around at top speed and get a good look at what to expect.8 laps went too fast and many drivers up graded to the next level and went again.Payed for the photos and dvd which will be sent out in 5 weeks._br/_ My top speed was 122mph not bad for as for an aussie.

Well organized, fun. But you can only go so fast, and they try to nickel and dime you by selling more laps, ride alongs, a DVD, pictures, etc, etc. Aside from that, it was exciting!

The Rookie Experience is definitely only for those who have never stepped foot into any sort of race car. I purchased this for my husband, who has driven modified and sportsman race cars and thought this would be a great experience NASCAR-style. It really wasn't. He has gone faster in the cars mentioned above than he did in this. If you are someone who wants to go fast, do the ride along experience; they go much faster than those who are driving themselves. I understand the safety issues and respect the rules; however, you pay a lot for this experience, and in my opinion, we didn't receive what we thought we were going to.

Overall, this was very good. But for the cost, there should be more laps driven, and the plaque at the end should be free, not $70. What a rip-off!
