Oslo Combination Cruise and Tour

Oslo, Norway

See the best of Oslo on a combination sightseeing tour and boat cruise! The guided tour takes you to Oslo's old town center and the Oslo Opera House, and a sightseeing cruise will take you past the Bygdøy peninsula, home to several museums like the Kon-Tiki Museum, Fram Museum and the Maritime Museum.

Your three-hour guided sightseeing tour of Oslo is a wonderful way to see the city's highlights. You'll start by exploring the winding streets of Oslo's Old Town. You will see Kvadraturen, the part of the city built in quadratic form in 1624, and you'll visit the Oslo Opera House.

Next, hop on a boat for a cruise through Oslo's beautiful waterways. You'll cruise past the Bygdøy peninsula, where several museums sit, including the Kon-Tiki Museum, home to the Kon-Tiki, the raft used in the 1947 Norwegian expedition across the Pacific Ocean. You'll also pass the Fram Museum, home to the Fram, a famous vessel used in Norwegian polar expeditions.

Then visit the Norwegian Maritime Museum for even more history of Norway's sea exploration. The boat cruise ends at Oslo City Hall.

Ship was pretty old and not very comfortable to sail on. Noisy besides and really poor audio from speakers. Hard benches, crates, also used to house life jackets were the seats. Pretty well had to stand up. Getting off at one point meant jumping over the rail, not easy. Location of embarkment not that easy to find as we were looking for something with Viator on it but there was not. When we did find the booth the clerks were very friendly and helpful.

the tour was a complete waste of time and money. The name of the tour is somewhat misleading as it implies Cruise and Land tour but it is not. The coach tour is just a short bus trip to the place where you will get to the boat which will take you to the island where the Fram Museum and 2 others which is not really worth seeing. The guide briefly spent like 10 minutes explaining the one corner of the Oslo City Hall and that's about it on the Coach Tour. The "Cruise" tour meanwhile is actually the ride to the island and i am really puzzled why they called it a Cruise tour while in fact it is simply a means to go the island andin no way was to go around the beautiful part of the fjord. We only have a day in Oslo and our whole objective in going there is to see the scenic part of the fjord and i took this tour expecting to see the city by coach and fjord by cruise, I have done many of these combination tours in many places such as London, Paris, Copenhagen, Washington, DC and much more and they did not disappoint. No wonder there is only one other fellow in our tour aside from our own group of four. This tour completely wasted our short stay in Oslo.
