Paris, France

Enjoy a glass of bubbly as you spend a day in the famous region of Champagne on a day trip from Paris. With its magnificent vineyards, impressive heritage and world class champagnes, the region makes a great excursion from the French capital. Explore the Moet and Chandon cellars in Epernay. Also visit the Mumm Champagne House and Reims Cathedral.

Visit the sacred town of Reims, known for its role in consecrating the kings of France as well as its importance to the Champagne region's sparkling wines.

In Reims, your guide will take you on a tour of the city's famous Gothic cathedral, followed by a trip to the world-renowned Mumm champagne cellars for a tour and tasting of Mumm House's Cordon Rouge champagne. After your visit at Mumm Cellars, the tour provides you with an opportunity for lunch.

In the afternoon, your tour continues on through the picturesque landscape of vineyards and rolling hills to the town of Epernay, the main entrepĂ´t for the region's sparkling wines. Here, you'll visit the prestigious wine cellars of Moet & Chandon for another tasting session. After your trip to Epernay, your coach will return you to central Paris.

Great day-saw Reims cathedral and did tours at Mumm and Moet Chandon. The Moet tour was very commercialized but interesting._br/_ I contacted viator with a concern about the tour company being unable to find my booking when I arrived, and it was dealt with promptly._br/_ I would recommend this tour.

The trip was fantastic and both the Mumm and Moet and Chandon tours were great. I did however think the Moet and Chandon was far superior to the Mumm as they took you into the actual cellars and gave you far more info than Mumm. Still a great tour though.

A great day out, if you are tired of rude Parisians, go on this and see some other French people. They are not rude ! Reims has a beautiful cathedral and the Champagne cellar tours are very informative. I did not know that the champagne is 'born' in the bottle we buy :-)

I did enjoy it, was nice to see the country side of france and its beutiful cities as reims. The tours inside the moet and tatengir were nice._br/_ BUT OUR TOUR PERSON, DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, IN AN ENGLISH SPOKEN TOUR. SO THE WHOLE TRIP WE WERE TRYING TO MAKE UP WHAT WAS SHE TELL US. This sort of things can not happen, please take care._br/_ Thanks.

The Tour its self was great. I was disapointed that the guides did not expand their contributions to the interesting areas we passed through or other significat sites on route.

I'm a student in Paris for the semester, looking to get out of the city for a day trip with one or two close friends. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. Check in was efficient, and easy to find for anyone new to Paris.

Truly fantastic guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke excellent English. Really a delight. The tours of Mums and Chandon were first rate, and my wife and I enjoyed the visit to the cathedral. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was that the trip out and back was long - though I should also say that the bus was first class. If you don't mind spending four or five hours in a bus in one day, I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.

Originally I was going to book a tour in a smaller group but it was fully booked. I was a bit sceptical about being in a larger group but the tour turned out to be excellent! It was very well organised, the guides were professional and being in a larger group was fun ;) Great experience, will definitely do another tour with the same company!

Very interesting to learn about champagne, in the region, and see the passion of the wine makers. Loved the champagne, and Reims cathedral was beautiful. It was nice to go back via the smaller villages on the way back to the highway, and see a bit of the countryside.

Our Champagne tour was a mixed bag of delights. We enjoyed our tour of Mumm, and the tasting, and the gift shop. We also got to see a little of the beautiful city of Reims, with its huge Gothic cathedral. We discovered a cute double-Decker carousel in the town square, and had no trouble finding an excellent restaurant for lunch. We also enjoyed our visit to Epernay, and our tour of Moet and Chandon, which boasts the largest Champagne cellar in the world. Our tour, besides educating us about the Champagne-making process, gave us an appreciation for the enormity of the cellar area. The tour of both Champagne houses allowed us to appreciate the rich history of the world's most beloved beverage and the dedicated people who have been making it for generations. Our tour guides and bus driver helped to make this a delightful experience. I'm sure others will enjoy this tour as much as we did. John Kramer, California USA

Lovely. Unfortunately, it rained hard all day so we didn't get to see as much beautiful countryside as was out there. The actual champagne cave tours were interesting and quite similar, but the settings different. The tour directors' ability to provide commentary in 4 languages was amazing. We were only disappointed that there was a service in the Cathedral, prohibiting us from wandering in that place. Luckily, one guide was willing to talk outside in the rain, for a few minutes. Nice day!

This tour was fine however the tour operator should not run the tours on Sundays. There was little choice for lunch in the town of Reims due to it being a Sunday and nothing is open. There were only two restaurants that were open where the majority of tour groups were eating hence waiting time was ridiculous. We ended up going to Mc Donalds for lunch!!! In a beautiful town for only one day and I am forced to eat a Big Mac! Both Mumm and Moet and Chandon tours were great as they were operated by the Champagne Houses. Apart from the actual bus, this tour was not really worthwhile.

We enjoyed the trip, it met our expectations. The Tattinger tour operations was not as well presented as Moet's however we enjoyed the different aspects of the caves. We will use Viator in the future.

The Champagne tour was satisfactory. The tour could have more variety. Since the tour was an all day event, I was hoping to see more than two houses. Both houses could have been a little more generous with the amount of champagne they were giving. It was cheap on both houses to just give only one glass of champagne. I agreed they were being responsible but we were all adults and were could curb our own drinking. I would also have appreciated a smaller group that having fifty people on the tour.

Overall a great day. The Moet and Chandon Tour was exceptional from start to finish. Unfortunately our visit to the Mumms cellars was very rushed, however in their defence I think this was due to our late arrival because of heavy traffic heading out which was a bit of a shame. The guides were very pleasant and informative. Would recommend

Very interesting trip and we enjoy to know many things about champagne history and about fabrication processes. For the money we paid we expect to taste more than one type of champagnes at each location, even the ones more expensive.

This was a great day trip and I would most definitely recommend it. However, it says you will have english speaking guides and its really a mix of them saying all the signt-seeing information in english, then repeating it in spanish and then again in japanese. Because you are with a group and you have limited time at each stop of the tour, this takes away more than half your sight-seeing time - and its extremely boring to stand there and wait while they repeat the same sentence in 2 other languages before they tell you the rest of it in english. Also- they only give you 1 glass of champagne at the end of the tour... doesnt really seem worth the money - unless you are paying strictly to find out how they make champagne. The bus was comfortable and the sights are amazing! But I dont think I would may this much money for this tour again, it wasnt worth it.

This tour was so interesting they take you into the cellars, explain how champagne is made why it was made who was involved and then after your hard work in listening you get to taste the delish champagne!! mmm! Also don't forget to stop in the gift shops as you can get a bottle of champage for around 30Euro much cheaper than what we were expecting to pay =)

The long bus ride was worth it. We traveled to some beautiful countryside, made some great stops and was very informative. We had just one glass of champagne at each location, but you can visit a cafe at lunch to drink some more. Don't plan anything right after the end time of this tour since Paris traffic is heavy coming back and you may be late.

This tour was outstanding in every way and every minute of it. _br/_ The tour guides on the bus and in the two champagne houses were pleasant, personable, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The tour content had excellent substance and the 2 hours of free time to have lunch and/or whatever you wished to do was great. To top it off, the country side is extremely beautiful and the weather was superb...I would do it again in the blink of an eye...bravo!

This was one of the highlights from our recent trip to France. The bus ride was only 2 hours each way so very managable. The tours of Moet and Mumms wineries were very insightful and gave us a new appreciation on the lenghty process that is making champagne!!_br/_ The real highlight however was the cathedral of Notre Dame in Reims, it was absolutely magnificant and actually more spectacular than the one in Paris. The guide gave us a fabulous commentary on the history and stories behind this cathedral and the early years of France and Reims. _br/_ Highly recommend this tour, a great way to see something outside of Paris during a short stay.

This was a terrible tour mostly due to the company offering the tour. Disorganized from beginnin with needless confusion getting onto correct bus. Four nationalities on bus had to listen to each guide comment in four languages often very lengthy. At Moet they took all groups but English speaking - we had to wait for nearly one hour for the guided tour. When tour began after 3 PM, it resulted in 6 minutes left before bus departure for the description of varies products and tasting. when we drank and ran to bus - the other three groups were sitting on the bus, engine running, scowling at us. Bus tour guide was disinterested as if we were an annoyance to her. Do not recommend this tour - our worst experiene of a great 12 day trip.

My husband and I just loved it. If you are staying in Paris for more than 4 days it is definetly worth doing!
