The Paris pass made going to museums easy and convenient. I loved skipping lines!

Unfortunately the Paris Pass tickets were less than impressive on the instructional front and it took us some time trying to work out how to actually get started on what we had planned. The staff at Hard Rock Cafe where we picked up the passes are just the sellers, they took our money but weren't able to tell us how to get started. Nowhere in the booklet is there a picture of a Les Car Rouges bus, or a map of the stops to catch it. It took us most of the first day before we found a stop at the Eiffel tower - the required map is available on the bus!!! The Paris Pass was not good value for money and I will never get caught like this again.

Well worth the hassle of queuing for 30 minutes to pick up the pass at the Hard Rock Cafe! (I think!) Could have included entrance fee and skip the line to the Eiffel Tower. All in all - fantastic!!

It was nice to skip the lines (especially the Louvre and the Arc). DO NOT BUY IT FOR KIDS SINCE THEY ARE FREE TO ATTEND MOST OF THE MUSEUMS!! The river cruise was a nice addition as was the hop-on hop-off. It was also nice having the metro passes. I am sure I did not save anything with the Paris Pass except time. It would have been much cheaper to buy the Paris Visite (metro pass) and individual museum tickets. But then again, we skipped the long lines.

Was great to have access to all the major attractions except the Eiffel tower. Wish there was a was to cut the cue at Versailles though. If you go there and have this pass make sure you get there at opening time otherwise you will spend some time in a line up.

The hop on/ off bus is an excellent way of orientating yourself. Make use of the metro pass and save your feet. Skip the line entry was fantastic

Again, being required to pick it up at the Hard Rock Cafe -- how stupid is that? We had to PAY for the Metro that took us to the Hard Rock Cafe, so we could pick up the pass that was going to give us free access to all Metro rides. I'd say the pass isn't worth the money.
Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Review by: DLehner March 2012
This would have been great to have before we bought tickets, and going to the Hard Rock Cafe to get our passes was a real nuisance. They should be given to us in Australia before we leave, or at the least delivered to our hotel. We did not fully utilize the pass because of this.

The Pass is a great card to have. We used it for the time we were in Paris and it met most expectations. It is nice to pay one price and then enjoy your days without always counting change.Skip the line entry is a fabulous plus._br/_ The only downside of the pass was retrieving it, initially. The only place to pick up the pass was a metro ride and walk to the Hard Rock cafe, when we finally found the building all went well, but then it was another long walk and finally a bus to get to the hop on hop off tour bus we were looking for. There should be a more convenient way to get your card and to start using it. Also, the hop on hop off is a great way to see any city. Their route is kind of short, but still a good tour. Also included is a metro ticket, which is great but we had already purchased one to get to the place to pick up the pass. Again, it was very good, but wish it was more convenient to find, initially.

The ability to not stand in line for tickets was worth it. The value was good and getting Metro tickets as part of the package was good. Re: boat tour - unsure which company provided it and where to locate them.

This was very good. If I had known, however, that children under the age of 18 were given free entry into museums, I wouldn't have bought 3 of them

Super shuttle bus did not arrive until 90 minutes later and did not look like the photo in brochure, the bus was scruffy and had a broken seat belt, the hotel was fine even if a bit dated staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfasts were good, Paris pass worked fine.

Easy to use, gained access to the best sights, quick tours and had lots of "extra" information - only improvement would be the collection point. Flying over discovered we could have bought it on the flight instead of paying metro and going all the way into town. But the lunch was great at the Hard Rock.

Having done tours of Paris this Pass was a little redundant as we only used it for one other museum however the Hop On Hop Off bus was great and allowed weary feet to have a rest but that was after walking Paris for three days
Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Review by: Julie F January 2012
Over all it was worth it. The only exception was that the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus was not heated. The pass covers only zones 1 to 3 and one has to buy zones 4 to 5. You should consider including that in the Pass and the Eiffel Tower. Otherwise very satisfied with it.

The trip was great but to be honest I dont think we got our moneys worth with the Paris pass. If you get up early and try to do and see a lot all day, then it can be worth it. We saw the Louve but the Orsay museum was closed the next day. The river cruise was nice as well as the unlimited double decker bus. The best feature was the unlimited use of the metro subway. If you want to see all the museums than go for it but if your more of the casual tourist and want to take it all in slowly than I would pass on the pass.

My friends and I bought this pass and over while touring Paris. I would recommend staying within Zones 1-3 to make the most of the transit ticket. If anything, we ended up doing much more than we would have without it. This could be a good or bad thing, depends on your style of travel. The Museum Pass alone was brilliant, the Hop On/Off Bus Tour was a welcome break from the metro, and if you use the river cruise, do it at night. Overall, I've already suggested it to friends.

For us, not good value for money. Didn't have enough time to visit anything like the number of museums available. Spent whole morning visiting Louvre and even that wasn't long enough. Why is it more expensive for an extra day, when there are no more museums etc to see anyway? It worked out expensive for us as only had it for 2 days

Excellent decision. We visit several museums and used the Metro a lot. Had only one problem at the Saint Chapelle. They didn~ honored the skip the line and treated us very bad (police officer).

This was ok. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have just purchased the museum pass and the hop on hop off pass separately from the Paris pass. We really did not use all of the discounts and when we went to the perfumory for the free tour and gift it was very underwhelming. The museum pass is worth it so that you can skip the lines and the hop on hop off is fun, but I would probably not purchase the Paris pass again.

By far the best part of our holiday in Paris, knowing that the admissions had been paid and that we also had a hop on hop off bus and metro card too! There are metro stations everywhere so it made it easy not having to line up for tickets.

This was the best money ever spent! We bought the 4-day pass and were completely satisfied. To our surprise, we also got a 2-day ticket for the Les Cars Rouges hop-onhop-off bus. This was a great way to get situated with the main city attractions. Not only was it worth the entrance fees 5-day unlimited metro pass, but the added bonus was being able to skip all the lines.

Was a great benefit. We didn't have to worry about travel because we used the metro for everything. Used the pass to see a lot of things. We were not happy about the information passed along about the river cruise because it doesn't tell you where to go to use this. We walked for about 2 hours trying to find this on the river by the Eiffel Tower

The Pass worked out great. If there is one thing that could be improved was to put in the book if you need to get a ticket or just go to the entry point with your pass. Also we had an under 18 guest with us and sometimes she needed a ticket other times all she had to do was show proof of age at the entry point. Again something in the book regarding this issue would be helpful because it was not always easy to find someone at the venue to assist us.

If you know you are going to see most of the sites on the pass, it is definitely the way to go! You save time and money. However, you will still have to wait in lines at some places, because of the sites popularity, so many people take advantage of the pass and security check points. You definitely want to hit the major attractions early in the morning. It is definitely convenient!
