Paris Right Bank Wine Tasting and Walk

Whether you are a wine novice or a wine lover, where better to become a connoisseur of French wines than Paris? You'll learn about French wines with three tastings, presented in English by a professional wine enthusiast. The aim of this wine tour is to immerse you in the authentic wine and bar culture of Paris. We have chosen to concentrate on the 1st and 2nd arrondissement on the Right Bank because of its historic associations and interesting and picturesque ambience

The Wine Tour is being led by a wine enthusiast (who speaks English) and is passionate about wine and Paris, who will will introduce you to 4 or 5 bars and cafes which locals frequent, and where we will have our wine ‘tastings', including interesting selections from smaller producers. We will also explore this historic district and its famous buildings and sites on our walk.

Discover French wines right where the French themselves do it and at the same time experience the historic districts of Paris and its famous buildings.

You will pass by one of the largest, most famous and beautiful churches in Paris, the Eglise de St. Eustache begun in 1532 and completed in 1647. You will cross the Place des Victoires built in 1865 to celebrate the victory of Louis XIV over Spain, Holland, Piedmont and Germany and now home to designer shops. You will end at Passage Vivienne which has an exit across from the Palais Royal where you will also find the famous haute cuisine 4-star restaurant  'Grand Vefour' a gourmet landmark since the 1760s. All the while making stops for a glass of wine and soaking in the local, authentic atmosphere.

Guide was delightful and was tolerant of the fact that we spotted some nice dress shops on the way - She was flexible ,knowledgeable and alin all a very pleasant 3 hours experiencing interesting wines in parisienne surroindings sourced by her - would do it again ! recommended

Very disappointing ... to be asked to share a glass for wine tasting I dont think so. In Australia we dont share wine glasses for tasting. It was more of a historical walk than wine tasting which was not what I paid for .So I will not be using Viator again and I have forwarded this info to my travel agent as well.

Quite expensive for only tasting 3 small glasses of wine (which really only cost 3euros). No snacks were included. Our guide was lovely and provided information on Paris in general which was nice. However, I would not recommend it. You'd be better off finding a wine shop that provides tasting testing and you'd walk away with a very small bill (20 euros).

My Husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We arrived a bit early, and waited a while before we were able to identify who our guide was, but we found each other. What was really great was that there were supposed to be 2 other people on the tour with us who didn't end up showing up, so we basically got a private wine tour! We learned quite a bit about French Wine thanks to our guide, and will now feel more confident when picking our own French Wines.

This tasting and walk was one of the best things we did on our trip to Paris! Our guide, Charlotte, was friendly, fun, and knowledgable. She took us through a great neighborhood, to great local bars, with stops a great local shops and sights along the way. Our friends with whom we stayed in Paris were very impressed with the tour and were able to explore a neighborhood in Paris that was even new to them. We tasted wines from all around France, from regions that are not as common in US wine stores. This tour was a highlight of our trip and a great way to see the more local side of Paris!
