the tour was ok - the guide spent too much time on one or two paintings and rushed thru the rest of the tour. She had mentioned that it is a 2 hour tour but the tour did not even last that long.

A good way to see the highlights without trying to find your way on a small multi layer map.

This tour was well worth going on, as the Lourve Museum is absolutly huge!! 2,5 Hours doesn't even cover a third of the Museum, The Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa are the definate highlights of the Lourve experience. I would definitely recommend this tour if your were on a tight schedule in Paris. The only thing that let the tour down was our guide at the end until then he had been very knowledgeable and most helpful with any questions that were put to him, our guide just deserted three of us with our headphone and reciever sets for the commentary never to be seen again, we found other people who were in our party later on and they had said he had left the building. Luckily for me the extremly nice American couple who were with me when we started the tour took my head phones and receiver back to the office the following morning as their hotel was nearer than mine. To sum up - a brilliant experience well worth going on - just a shame our guide let us down at the end.

The Louvre is so big you need a guide. Great way to learn about the art and museum.

Chose this evening tour because I thought the museum would be quieter but it was still quite busy. The guide was pleasant but tended to gloss over explanations with an all purpose "it's technical, why this is considered a masterpiece, can't explain it on such a short tour". It was however a convenient way to get into the Louvre and see some high points in a time efficient way.

I enjoyed seeing the art but the tour guide was difficult to understand and it seemed like we kept going back and forth through different rooms instead of having a steady flow through the museum.

Tour was good, guide needed an umbrella or sign to lead the group rather than a brochure in the crowded museum. English could have been a bit better, really had to listen closely to what she was saying to be able to understand.

I enjoyed the tour. The guide was thorough but not exhaustive in her explanations. I have toured the Louvre without a guide and was very overwhelmed. Taking the tour is great because you skip the lines and are directed to the highlights of each section of the museum.

Good tour. Guide was good. But! Louvre was very crowded and a fellow tried to pick my pocket and take my wallet. When I caught him and tried to report him to a guard, the guard asked, "Does he have your wallet"? When I said, "No, i stopped him", the guard replied, "There is nothing I can do, if he does not have your wallet how can you prove he tried to take it"!

Having suffered a fall a couple of days prior, my wife found it very hard to keep up with the guide on this tour due to the number of stairs used. The guide was great though, and very knowledgeable on the subject of the exhibits in the Louvre. Having the chance to stay on after the tour and explore at our own pace was the winner for me though. Great tour.

Our tour guide was very good and had an excellent knowledge of the art that we saw at the Louvre. She also was very efficient at moving the group around and navigating the Louvre which was very crowded. The tour worked well for us as we were able to see the high-points of the museum's collection and the length of time, approximately 2 1/2 hrs was just about right for an initial visit so it was not overwhelming. Because of the excellent knowledge of our guide, we felt that we really learned something about the art that we saw. The meeting point for the tour was easy to find. Just several blocks walking distance from the Louvre. The size of our group was also manageable. Overall, would recommend this tour. Family from Southern California, USA

Our guide was excellent. Very well informed and had a great tour. Would not have seen and learnt as much as we did in that 2 hour period. Would highly recommend it to everyone going to the Louvre.

Enjoyed the tour very much. However, the guide managed to loose 20% of the group (2) and he didn't stop at the painting of Lady Jane Grey's Execution which would have been nice to discuss as he knew he had Brits in the group. Felt the guide was going through the routine a bit. Still enjoyable.

The guided tour only highlighted about 7-8 pieces of artwork, focusing mainly on 1 wing of the museum. It was rushed through in little over an hour and we didn't even get a day pass to see the rest of the museum for ourselves.

This was the first tour with Viator that we did not like. We paid a fair price for a over view trip through the Louvre but were not given our admission tickets so we could stay at the louvre. If we left a certain area, without tickets we could not be readmitted. the tickets were only about 10 euros but we felt like we had already paid once for the ticket. would not recomend.

Our tour guide was great! It was a great way to enjoy the Louvre. Unfortunately, one member in my group had faulty headphones and couldn't hear her commentary. That was not right. She should carry extra sets with her.

Our guide was fabulous!! The only suggestion I would have is to spend a bit less time on the subterranean ruins of the original palace so that there is time for more art.

Absolutely fantastic. Without the friendly tour guide, visiting Louvre won't fetch any rich memories or experience. There is just so much on display that there is every chance for a person like me to miss out on special ones, and truly without understanding what one is seeing, it's difficult to appreciate. This tour is a must.

Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful in giving a good overview of the Louvre - if such a thing is possible. In my view a bit too much time was spent talking about the history of the building and the relatively recent finds of the older Louvre. All of this was very interesting but given the treasures above in the main building it could have been done a bit more quickly. Also, our group was of a good (modest) size and the wireless headsets worked very well to hear the guide, but he had to repeat everything in English and French which slowed things down a bit. A single language tour would have been preferred.

We didn't realize that the meeting place was not at the Louvre itself but at an office on a nearby street. We called and were told to come to the office but while we were walking there our reservation was given to someone else. We were put into an Italian tour group and told the guide would help us find the English tour group. Instead she gave us our tickets and suggested we get headphones from the Louvre that gave a recorded tour. We weren't happy about all the confusion but the Louvre itself was great.

This was well worth the money. You get to go straight into the Louvre, and they guide you around the most popular sites with a guide and then you can spend as much time as you want wandering by yourself.

Another wonderful experience! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. This is another location where it pays to be an early bird. The tour will get you to all the major points by the end of the morning, after that, youre on your own, so be prepared with your own study guide materials. The Louvre provides a small foldout map in English that will cover the major sections and what is generally contained within those sections. However, individual pieces of art only have information provided in French.

The louvre is a very LARGE museum. This tour gives you a quick glimps of the museum and gives you ample time to view the more popular works of art. It is a wonderful tour for anyone who does not have a lot of time but wants to see the Louvre.

Our French guide was delightful and very knowledgable, The tour through the underground of the Louvre was quite incredible and extremely interesting. Unfortunately, the crowds in the actual Louvre galleries makes the visit to the Louvre a bit disappointing - even at 9am in early June. But, it's a fact of the Museum being the most visited place in France. Really need to spend more time there but this tour is a very good general look.
