Versailles, Paris City Tour and Seine River Cruise Day Trip
USD $165.99

Versailles, Paris City Tour and Seine River Cruise Day Trip

Paris, France

If your time in Paris is short, why not see Versailles and the highlights of Paris in one full-day tour? You'll visit the Palace of Versailles in the morning, return to Paris for lunch and take a Seine River cruise and Paris city tour in the afternoon.

At Versailles your guide-interpreter will bring the history of the Palace of Versailles to life. In particular, you will discover Versailles' Great Royal Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen's Apartments.

On your return to Paris, your three-course lunch (drinks not included) will be served in a central Paris restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll take a self-guided city tour of Paris' main monuments by air-conditioned motor coach. You will also have the opportunity to ride the elevator to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the amazing panoramic views of Paris. There is not enough time allocated for visitors to go to the "top" of the Eiffel Tower. Queuing can take a long time, therefore it is suggested to return on another day.

The tour comes to a close with a one-hour Seine River cruise, with commentary. You'll admire the famous bridges crossing the Seine and learn more about the history of Paris on your cruise. Your whirlwind day tour of Versailles and Paris ends at the base of the Eiffel Tower.

Versailles Fountain Show Special Program:
April 3rd to October 31st (Saturdays & Sundays) and May 18th to June 29th (Tuesdays). For a selected time you have the option to see the magnificent fountain displays, which reveal the skill and artistry of 3 centuries of French garden design and engineering. The display is accompanied by music composed at the time of Louis XIV's court.

Note that entrance fees to the Versailles Fountain Show Special Program are NOT included. A supplement of approx. 8 euros (adult) is payable direct.

Traveling before August 31, 2012? Eiffel Tower Paris is currently experiencing delays due to a technical incident with the elevators. Only one elevator is in function until August 31, 2012. Consequently, the Eiffel Tower cannot guarantee access for this tour. See below for details.

English speaking tour guide at Versailles was hard to understand, the included lunch was a disgrace, and at the end of the tour right after the Eiffel Tower we were left on our own to find our way to the River Cruise...Please understand these were the negatives that can be improved upon, but the overall Day Trip included many wonderful sites was great value for your dollar.

apart from the last pit of the tour which was drop off at Eiffel tour and not at the Viator center, which was way out from our hotel, the tour was great. We liked it and meeting new people made us booked the Disneyland aswell with Viator at the desk and that was great aswell.Thank you for a lovely time

This was a good, but strange day. The office staff of this tour company were not very friendly-- the one clerk yelled at us to CLOSE THE DOOR when we got to the office, and derided me later for not having done so (I couldn't, there were other people trying to get in, too). The bus driver and the tour guide were fairly personable, though, and were helpful, especially when we returned from Versailles, and no one seemed to know where we were to go to next-- this 4 part tour is actually just 4 different tours that they book you on in one day, so we were with a different group for each section--bizarre!. So-- Versailles--a beautiful icon, but so obnoxiously overcrowded and rushed that I couldn't recommend it as a destination. I would go back some time to wander the gardens, but the guide told us Tuesday (the day we were there) was the worst possible day to go to Versailles. So that made sense. Lunch--bizarre--our tour guide chased down the street after another one to take us to lunch with her group of Spanish-only-speakers. We all sat together in an IRISH PUB. The last thing I would have expected for a Paris Lunch. Food was adequate. Next, back to a different office for another bus, which eventually ended at the Eiffel Tower. We were herded to the line, and given our tickets for that, and for the Seine cruise, which, it turned out, you could take any time within the next year. That is what we ended up doing 2 mornings later, when the Louvre tour guide did not show up to take us to the Louvre. Very, very bizarre experiences in Paris with Viator.

Overall a decent tour, Versailles was packed with peoples but we got in and out quickly. Our guides were well informed, answered questions, kept the group moving and were overall super helpful. Bus tour just highlights the places we were looking for. Eiffel Tower and Seine river cruise we were at our own pace. One star off because - Hello! Why we were in Paris but sitting in an Irish restaurant and eating Irish lunch and pay extremely pricy drink?

versailles was beautiful, but the day trip was poorly planned out. i would take the versailles half day tour, and then go from there - the lunch was HORRIBLE, no choice in what you got and it was not french in the least bit more like mystery meat, there was no room on the english speaking bus so they packed me in with the spanish speakers and my headset didnt work so i had no idea what was going on, and the boat tour was pretty but so packed with people you couldnt really enjoy it.

The organization of the group wasn't very clear and the commentary was quite average, for a city with so much history the commentary was very limited. Our guide showed us to the Eiffel Tower, then left us, after leaving us we discovered the tower was closed due to a broken elevator and our tickets were not transferable. Others on the tour had limited English so I had to speak to them and explain which took time and for the money paid a guide should been on hand in case of such problems. The optional lunch, although nice was at an Irish pub and not what was expected from a tour highlighting Paris! The boat cruise and guided tour of Versailles was the best part however would not recommend to others as it is over priced for what you get.

Really enjoyed the morning Palace of Versailles tour. The tour guide was very informative and spoke several languages. And it was very beautiful. One girl at the office was very unfriendly and could not be bothered with our questions. The lunch was really good, but there was only 3 of us eating, so it was strange to have a large area reserved for just us. The afternoon Paris City Tour was too fast. A lot of my pictures didn't turn out or got cut off. It snowed when we were on the Eiffel Tower, which was cool. The Seine River Cruise was very nice too. The employee on the boat knew several languages, which is very helpful. Bravo for those people because it really makes a difference. This all day tour felt like several small separate tours put together in one day. We were handed our tickets to the Eiffel Tower and river cruise and left to our own devices. Some may or may not like this way of touring.

The overall trip was worth it, the tour guide to Versailles was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only draw back was the lunch. The food was not up to par and the restaurant chosen for the lunch wasn't even french for tourists who wanted french cuisine. The lunch was in an Irish restaurant in Paris. The service was not great either.

The tour of Versailles was great, really every aspect was very well done. However, this tour is several tours placed together which tended to be confusing as to where and when we were required to be at meeting points.

The trip was confusing, but ended up working ok. The website address was wrong and the new office is a block away. We started out with one group in the morning and then came back for lunch and then ended up being combined with 2 more groups in the afternoon. Lunch was at an Irish pub and hot and heavy for a summer day. I would have preferred a lower price and free time at lunch so we could explore french food. However, the guides were good and the trours were on schedule and the bus was nice.

Very well organised and informative tour, unfortunately our ear pieces did not work, so the guide had to work very hard communicating with a large group. The weather was bad, so the company suggested we make our rver trip the next day - they gave us the tickets and we were able to enjoy another wonderful trip under slightly better weather conditions. The guide on the river trip was excellent and well informed.

The process was smooth for us. However, Versailles was so packed that it was a bit hard to appreciate. Yes, we got right in with our tour guide, who was knowledgeable, but it was too crowded. The gardens cost extra. Versailles was not so good for kids. The Paris tour was good, wished our bus was open top for better pictures. The Eiffel Tower was the reason to purchase this trip, we walked right onto the elevators and had as much time as we wanted. The cruise could be taken at our leisure and was interesting and good. As others have said, the lunch was not too good. Irish pub, food was marginally good, but I didn't do this for the food.

The big disappointment was lunch in Paris after we rushed through Versailles. When I go on a Paris tour, I expect French food. Instead we got very average Irish pub food. If I wanted Irish food, I'd go to Ireland. We decided to abandon the afternoon part of the tour after the lunch fiasco.

It was a rushed tour, especially in the Louvre. Hard to hear the tour guide. Also, didn't like the fact that we had to eat at an Irish pub. A French restaurant would have been nice.

It was very frustrating dealing with the company that actually conducts this tour. Getting people on the double-decker bus was a nightmare. Not a bad tour if you don't mind standing in a long line waiting to board a bus.
