Experience the grandeur of Versailles Palace and Gardens on a small group tour from Paris. With a maximum of only eight per group, this small group trip to Versailles ensures a more intimate experience. Hotel pickup from centrally located Paris hotels is included, taking all the guess work out of your trip. You can choose from a half-day tour (independent tour), either in the morning or afternoon, or a full-day tour (guided tour). On both the half-day and full-day tours you'll also be able to wander around the garden's groves and pools. If you visit Versailles on a Saturday or Sunday during April to October, you can see the famous fountain show in the gardens. The display is accompanied by music composed at the time of Louis XIV's court.

Half-day:
Choose from a morning or afternoon departure from Paris. Your hostess will provide advice to help you plan your time at Versailles. An audio guide is available in 8 languages. Your tour of the Palace of Versailles will be independent without a tour guide. It includes free time to explore Louis XIV's fabulous suite of rooms, the grand Hall of Mirrors and the apartments of the Dauphin and Dauphine.

Full-day:
Your full day tour begins with a fully-guided tour of Versailles (1-hour) including the Royal Apartments, Hall of Mirrors, Queen's Bedroom and the Gallery of Battles. Enjoy lunch at La Petite Venise Restaurant. After lunch, it's time to explore the palace gardens and take a visit to the Queen's Hamlet, where Marie-Antoinette played at being a shepherdess in the 1780s. You'll then take a guided tour of the Grand Trianon (1 hour), a mini palace where Louis XV and Louis XVI liked to lead a quiet life outside the court of Versailles.

I have been to Versailles before and all this trip amounted to was a fast pass entry into the museum. Our guide was more of a driver and was not very knoweldgeable about the area or the castle. He seemed to have about 5 facts that he repeated about 4 times and that was his tour. Nevertheless, the fast entry was worth it ...

I've been to Versailles before but have only done the half day tour so really wanted to spend the day there and see more. The tour was well-organised and really nice as we were in a small group which allowed us to ask lots of questions to our guide. I think if you go to Versailles do the full day tour so you can see the trianon and queen's hamlet which is fascinating!

Versaille was amazing, crowded on this particular day making the audio self guided tour not as effective as a personal tour may have been. Pick up and return were very efficient. Tour guide while with us provided valuable information, were surprised that she did not stay with us and conduct the tour itself.

I thought our Versailles small group was very, very good. We had a lot of flexibility since, the actual tour was self guided with the audio tour. Our driver (Fred) was on time for our hotel pick up and he was very knowledgeable and gave us a mini tour while we drove to Versailles.

I am very happy with the choice to take the small group to Versailles. It was comfortable and the driver was cordial and informative. What makes this highly recommended for me was a problem. Originally I had given the company the wrong address, when they called to confirm I rectified that but somehow it did not get into the system, so basically we missed the ride. I called, realizing the time was getting late. Initially I was told we were out of luck, but after a few minutes the operator came back and said the driver would return to pick us up! This was our last half day in Paris and we were so counting on the trip. The way they accomodated us was outstanding. The other travellers were also very understanding. A wonderful trip, great ride, nice people. Beware that even on a rainy day (as it was) the crowds are incredible and there are many large tour groups. But a sight to see in any weather! Thank you! The Versailles small group day trip from Paris was wonderful. However, with the price that was paid, it was a little expensive because: 1/the tour guide left us to fend for ourselves-simply picked us up and brought us back to Paris - but he was friendly and gave a bit of a tour information. 2/he did not inform us about the existence of the Trianon. I suggest that your day trip be less expensive since it only gave us 2 hours to tour Versailles and the whole day trip be charged as it is. Make your postings on viator more informative on what we are paying for._br/_ Other than the limited time for the cost, everything went well and it was a tour to see and make memories by. Thank you.

The Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris was one of the highlights of our trip overseas. Having the small group was brilliant, as we didn't have to wait in queues or line-ups and our driver and guide (Sergei?) was fantastic. He was very informative, professional and most helpful. To the point where he provided us each with small earpieces to listen to his commentary from a small microphone he had. This ensured that in a large crowd we could hear him giving us a very discriptive commentary of the Palace of Versailles. The fact that we had a small group was well worth the extra cost and we loved the oppotunity to share a lunch with that group from other countries.For us it made it all the much more richer. This is one trip I would recommend to everyone to do. It was the best.

The data provided is very misleading. We thought we were to get a tour of the palace. Instead we got a tour TO the palace. The guide didn't have much to offer. There were 8 of us in the group and he took us to Neptuns fountain but was at least 100 yards ahead of 6 of us all the time.. Not too happy.

Although this tour is not a guided tour, Fred (our driver), made sure that our drive to Versailles was anything but boring. His 'tour' was full of insightful information and injected with his personal humor. The audio guides in Versailles are a must and were a big help.

I guess I should have read the description a little more carefully. All the half-day tour includes is transportation to/from Versailles and entrance tickets. No guide, just the audio handsets in the palace. Skip this one and presumably opt for the full day trip if you can. Not worth it for the half-day trip.

My family of five was picked up promptly from our hotel. Our driver was affable, pleasant and very knowledgeable. When we arrived at Versailles, we received our audio equipment for the audio-guided tour. The palace is huge and lovely so the amount of time will not be enough to see everything, the full day tour is an option if you want to view more. We finished our tour in the garden area before meeting our driver for the return trip back to our hotel. We had a wonderful time.

Versailles is an amazing must see destination! I liked this one because it covered all of the rooms and allowed time to wander the gardens but still was only half a day - good for our limited schedule. I was glad I went with a guide as she knew a wealth of information that couldn't be found just by walking around by ourselves. The hall of mirrors is definitely an impressive must see!

This was EXCELLENT! Andre our tour driver was very informative. Once we arrived he had our tickets ready and we walked right in. The palace was absolutely beautiful. My first time to Paris and I'm so inlove with this beautiful city and all that it has to offer. Versailles was the icing on the cake!

It was very nice having a small group for this trip. The only recommendation would be that the guide use the headset with earpieces for the tour because it was very difficult to hear her unless you crowded very close to her.

Our tour guide Catherine was great. Very passionate about history, she gave the extra something which made the guide less of lecture and more of a story telling session. Wish she had informed us to look at the gardens on our own before lunch when we had some time to ourselves. Yet the property is so big, not easy to do it all. A magnificent place.
