Exceptional service as our plane was already going to be late due to technical fault. Then we had to turn back from Penang Airport due to extremely bad weather and head back to KL. As we were in the plane for all this time, I couldn't contact anyone so was concerned about what was going to happen. We came back to Penang on a morning flight after spending hours at KL airport. A driver was there to meet us having checked the change of flights and told me the driver that night had stayed at the airport til 4am in case we did arrive. Exceptional service!

Was picked up by a friendly 'Moi' who is a local of Penang. Moi was very chatty and friendly and his English was excellent. I ended up not sharing the airport to hotel transfer and having it as a private transfer ! I would use this service again without a doubt.

We arrived in Penang to discover no-one waiting for us. A very kind tour operator for another company rang the Penang contact who informed her that they had no record of us or for our daughter and her family who were arriving an hour later. Through a bit of pursuation, the Penang contact finally did some investigation and arranged for us to be picked up along with our daughter and family. It was a bit disappointing as we received several emails prior making sure we printed off our coupon and took it with us.

Our Penang travel was ok, it did state on your site we would receive a welcome pack but did not receive any information. However, the information that we could find was very little. It would have been handy to have some local information, pamphlets etc.

Don't look for guide with green & white stripes as it says on your paperwork until they change it - very annoying - they are in pinkpurple floral shirts. I ran around everywhere trying to look for them and obviously couldn't find anyone in a green & white striped shirt.. Apart from that it was good.

I have used Viator in the past and have always been very impressed. My lower score is not the trip itself but the communication. Unfortunately my flight to Malaysia was cancelled and I couldn't get the flight to Penang. There was no contact number on the booking for me to advise anyone and no one tried to contact me to see why I hadn't arrived. I'm sure the transfer would have been okay but this lack of contact did concern me. What would happen if you were delayed at customs? Would they wait for ages or leave without you?

I find transfers the best way to go when travelling to a new destination. Viator transfers remove the stress from travel. Their directions to find your driver are very precise, and the drivers stand out, very easy to find. They also very knowledgeable with info about the city.

The journey was comfortable, professional and prompt. The driver was waiting for me with my name on a sign and trip was in a private car with only 2 other people. The driver gave us a few tips and anecdotes about the stay in Penang. Very friendly but not over the top or annoying.

This service is excellent for those on a flight arriving late in the evening, as taxis are less available at this time. The driver briefed us on a history of Penang, and was very accommodating. I was traveling with a lot of luggage as well and the driver was able to accommodate our luggage without any hassle. It also ends up being good value, as no matter how many taxis you may ask, there is a general refusal to use a meter, and the flat rates they charge are almost at parity to the price of this transfer. I thoroughly recommend this.

Expecting a tour bus, the tour operator provided a personal car that was courteous throughout the whole journey. It arrived on time and the driver spoke English. I was very impressed.
