Your tour starts early this morning as you board the coach leaving the city and suburbs behind and you head south west towards Margaret River (approximately three hours) passing through small picturesque towns and farming communities, with plenty of stops for “leg stretching” along the way.The first stop is Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere, stretching 1.8 kilometers outwards into Geographe Bay before traveling to Margaret River. What was formerly a hippie and surfing community, Margaret River has grown up over the years and has become one of the leading producers of premium quality wines, cheeses, and fresh produce in the region, whilst still retaining it's laid back surfing charm. Wander through the town and meet the locals, before having lunch the Lake Cave Tea Rooms and touring Mammoth Cave.Afterward the tour will head to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where you can see the meeting point of the Indian and Southern oceans. There is plenty of wildlife to see including rock parrots, sea lions and dolphins. Take a walk along the heritage trail and soak up the atmosphere and beauty of the area. The last stop of the day, you will travel through the beautiful Boranup Forest and visit to a local winery, where you will learn the difference between a Chardonnay and a Shiraz and get to taste a selection of wines from the cellar door, before returning back to Perth around 9.30pm.
