Phoenix Shooting Range: Firearms Course & Firing Line Shooting

Take a short 20-45 minute drive north of Scottsdale and Phoenix hotels to New River, Arizona for the most unique outdoor firearms experience. Gain real skills during live fire exercises with an NRA-certified instructor. Using semi-automatic M16s and Glock 9mm handguns, this recreational firearms training goes beyond point and shoot. The comprehensive firearms course also provides you with practical information about the importance of gun safety.

The course begins with 30 minutes of safety and operational training by your NRA-certified rifle and pistol instructor,  who has a military background and sniper qualifications. Before handling live weapons, you will drill with plastic replicas. Next, you'll fire 30 rounds at paper and reactive targets from each firearm as directed by your instructor.

Then it's time to step up to the firing line for an exhilarating firearms course that includes multiple scenarios and protocols for response! The firing line is fun for both beginners and aficionados.

This truly was a wonderful experience!!!! My husband and I went to Phoenix in January for my birthday and this was a great present! It was like 2 expeditions in 1. First you take this tour in a dune-buggy for about half an hour (which is great to see the countryside) until you get to the firing location. The guide, who was a former marine was very professional and a lot of fun. We can't wait to go back to Phoenix with our friends and do this again. One thing we didn't realize until later in our trip was that we should have tipped him! PLEASE TIP THE GUIDE!!! It doesn't say anywhere that tips are extra. We completely regret not tipping him because he was so great!! Next time we absolutely will!
