It was so so tour. Nothing especially interesting and tour guide didn't seem to be very entusiastic. If anything I liked cashew factory, at least we got to try something interesting food and drinks there.

We were collected promptly from the hotel lobby by a guide with excellent english. Sightseeing tour included two viewpoints, cashew nut factory, discount souvenier market , gems gallery and a temple. The temple is very nice. Chinese firecrackers were being set off when we visited as someone had been fortunate on the lottery. Ladies remember to cover your shoulders to enter the temple itself. Cashew factory was interesting, found out lots I didn't know about them. Cashew products were available for tasting and purchasing. The Cashew fruit juice is very nice, especially chilled. The first view point provided a spectacular view across to Karon beach. Here there was also a person allowing photos with an eagle (claws clipped) for a small fee. Kids liked this. The souvenier market was extensive and most products were cheaper than in Pattong. The gems gallery was a working factory for hand-made jewellery. They show you a video, walk you through the factory, and then you enter the sales room where you have hundreds of jewellery items available for purchase in 14 or 18 carat gold or white gold. Many items eg earrings are reasonable priced. Most items there are original designs. Very good morning.

Good guide and driver and my only disappointment was visiting the games complex as most things there did not interest me. I thought it would have been better to drive up to see the big Buddha instead.

A really good tour that is great for Day one. It gives a person who is visiting Phuket for the first time a great introduction to the city, as well as, visiting some very nice sights. Cashew farm was not too bad, and if you love jewelry (like I do), then the trouble with the Gem place is limiting what you buy!

Excellent tour with a really good tour guide. You do get taken to some shops but actually don't be put off by that - we had been to Bangkok and Chiang Mai before this and the pressure to buy was intense but here there really was none at all. The tourist shop they take you to is actually really good as no one is hassling you and it was really cheap compared to some of the stuff we had unfortunately bought at the night markets in Chiang Mai.

Not as good as some of the other city tours that we have purchased for other countries. Spent more time at the add on places like gift shop, jewellery and cashew factory that the other sights. A little disappointing however the guide was well informed and english was very good. Would I recommend probably not...

Started off well with an axcellent tour guide . Unfortunately towards the end of the tour we ended up being taken to a large souvenir shop followed by the largest gem jewellery manufacturer in Phuket. The tour would have been more memorably without these visits and one would assume there was some sort of commission involved.

well worth the $11! we visited karon viewpoint, laem promthep, wat chalong, a cashew factory, and a jewelry store. i know some people complained about the shopping but i enjoyed the cashew factory. the people in the jewelry store were annoying and followed you around though. our guide june was great as well.

Even though this tour was inexpensive, my partner and I thought it a waste of time. The only highlight was visiting Wat Chalong, which is a beautiful temple complex. We didn't realise that we would be taken for most of the tour to shopping areas for jewellry, tourist memorabilia and food products.

Guide was good. Unfortunately for us it was raining heavily when at the view points and we couldn't get out of the vehicle. So make sure if it will rain, change your date to another day.

We joined Viator on the next day we arrived at Phuket. As we have never been to Phuket before it is a great experience to have a Viator tour guide to show us around as we did not even know there is such place as old Phuket and the history around it. Good introduction to Phuket. We had a lovely travel guide Boon or Boom?? Took us to several places including some beautiful view points, cashew factory, had photo with Lucy (Baby elephant), jewellery factory where she got one of the workers to clean all my jewellery for 20 Bt (less than $1.00). Very good day had by all.

City Tour should be called "Island Tour". We travelled around the spectacular South part of the Phuket Island, to Kata, Karon and Old Phuket Town plus others. Very informative and funny tour guide (we even learned 3 Thai words). Cashew nut factory and Buddist Temple were interesting, however this was dampened by the Gem factory, which was a huge "forced sell" to the tourists, as sales staff literally followed you around the gem show room and gift shop, trying to get you to purchase very expensive jewellery and gifts. This spoiled the tour. A visit to the Big Budah would have been good, however as this was not finished, we only see this from a distance. Great tour to see Phuket Island and get your bearings.

Excellent intro to Phuket. Very pleasant guide with good English skills. Went out of her way to get a 15-minute elephant trekking ride for our two children who accompanied us as opposed to the vendor's 30-min usual which would have held up our group too long. The gem factory tour was not a pressured experience and the prices were very good, having compared to dealers in Bangkok for fresh water pearls.

Any time, any day I will recommend this trip through Viator. The tour guide was awesome and will definitely deal with Viator again. It gave a good glimpse of the Phuket island to us. May be the Cashew nut factory and the Gems factory can be removed from the itinerary as it is of less use for many. Thank You Viator and 2 Thumbs up for you!

We liked this tour as it basically took us around many parts of the island and visited a few lookouts with fantastic views and a few temples, and some stops near the temples. Last stop is also the Gem factory, not on the itinerary!
