Tropical Storm Bavaro Cruise

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Take to the Caribbean waters off the coast of Punta Cana and enjoy some fun in the sun! You'll sail along the Dominican coastline, enjoy a delicious lunch and open bar and snorkel in the pristine waters Punta Cana is known for. With plenty of onboard entertainment, this family friendly cruise in the Dominican Republic is fun for everyone!

Board the Tropical Storm to enjoy a slow and relaxing sail from Punta Cana, over the crystal clear aqua waters of the Caribbean, along the stunning, white sandy coastline of Bavaro. Start your day with a visit to the wreck of the Astron, a sunken freighter which lies in shallow water close to the shore. Here you can see large schools of blue fish, barracuda and yellowtail snapper.

Cruise to a natural swimming pool where you will have time to relax, swim or have fun on the biggest slide in Bavaro! Snorkeling equipment is available on board with instruction available for beginners if required. In the tranquil surroundings with nothing but the sound of the wind and waves in your ears, sit back and enjoy lunch onboard.

Later you can enjoy a drink while swimming in waist deep water with a floating bar on hand.

Very touristy, there were two sharks to swim with in an enclosed area, and they just came around and showed you the sting ray. Didnt like that you still had to call when you got there to confirm your hotel pickup - why list your hotel in the reservation when you still have to call - scam to make more money I guess.

The Tropical Storm Bavaro Cruise was a great day trip! The staff were very friendly, energetic and fun. The lunch was tastey and the beverages were plentiful. I thought we would have more time to spend relaxing on an island but this is a full day of sailing, besides the time spend snorkeling. Beautiful coastline during the entire day. There were not many fish or exciting pieces of coral to see while snorkeling but it was still fun to swim. Music selection could have been more relaxing on the boat, it was very loud and upbeat the entire day. Would have preferred something like Bob Marley or UB40 in the late afternoon instead of techno. All in all a good excursion for the price.

The crew and boat were excellent. As long as you aren't looking for underwater beauty on the snorkeling portion of the cruise, this is a great trip. Snorkeling on this side of the island on any trip is mediocre. Crew was extremely friendly and energetic. Food was excellent and there was plenty of alcohol. The crew even served cocktails from an improvised bar while we relaxed in the water on a sandbar. Recommend highly. The lower number of passengers per trip was a real plus also. Plenty of room on the boat to relax and enjoy a sunny day. Did not actually sail as we were under power the entire trip but that was not an issue.

AMAZING!!! If you really want to get a chance to see the island, enjoy the scenery and have a good time- I definetly recommend the catamaran cruise. The staff was awesome- Jules (aka Juliano) and Valerie were our super cool tour guides and they speak English! Jules speaks English, Spanish, French and Italian so communication was very easy. This cruise is more bang for your buck with lunch and booze provided and we only had 9 people on board with us versus the other cruises that had way too many people. Great time, great people and the mamajuana was flowing!

Everyone was very nice and we definitely had a good time. Beware though, it's not called the trooical storm bravaro cruise anymore so that can be confusing when you get there. Also, remember to confirm your pickup at the hotel.

Over all the trip on the Tropical Storm was excellent. My group would have preferred more water time at the end instead of the ship wreck...but diffently a must do, it was great! Food was good, cool drinks and the staff was excellent.

Snorkeling was just ok. Especially compared to G Cayman or Cancun. So,if you're really looking for great snorkeling- try a dive company._br/_ However, the crew on the boat made up for any shortcoming in scenery. We had a great time with the guys- they were fantastic. Kudos to Mark and Omar! You made the trip. They made it a point to talk to everyone onboard and make them feel welcomed and included in all the festivities._br/_ A great option if you're looking for a fun, relaxing day cruise up the coast. Also, there were several kids were on our trip and it wasn't too rowdy. I would definitely book this again.

Make sure you like rum because that is the only type of liquor you will get on this cruise. The cruise contained too many people and the food was horrible. The main draw is the shipwreck and you will have to view that from a mile away. The floating bar is literally a styrofoam box which only contains rum and other types of soda. Make sure you claim your seat, otherwise you will be standing the entire cruise.

What a great day. The staff were amazing. We were on the "VIP" cruise - meaning basically there was a very small group of 10 of us which was perfect (due to bad weather that turned into a beautiful day). I loved everything about this excursion, particularly the Mamajuana!! Thanks guys. We all had an amazing day!

Wish we could of snorkled by hte ship wreck!! Food was so good on boat, and natural ocean pool spot was perfect!! Thank you!...RENNE is the best

The Bavaro Cruise was a nice relaxing day. With 2 small children we were accomodated at every turn. Sam, our guide, was the best we've ever had, especially in explaining how to snorkel. The snorkelling was great...just not long enough, plenty of drinks and lunch was wonderful. We had some fun stops along the way and a nice little cruise of the east Punta Cana coast. We were lucky to only have 16 people on our cruise so, plenty of room to roam about. I would highly recommend this cruise.

this was one of the best times we could have booked for our trip. the crew was awsome and provided us with a great time thru out the day, we have to agree with others who said that going to the ship wreck was a waist of time that could have been spent else where like snorkling, we have to say that the story that was told about the wreck was cute. if you want a good memory of your day be shur to buy the video that is being taken thru out the day. this a a cruise that is well spent on for both the cost and the great time you will have taken it. just rember to join in on the fun its all up to you how you make this trip more enjoyable. to the captain and his crew we say that you made this a great time for us and if we return we will book you again, thanks tony and kate from texas

The actual snorkeling was amazing. The fish will eat right out of your hand. The buffet was a bit disappointing. We ate out of plastic containers on the boat and the food was not that good. I was expecting to go some place on the beach and sit down and eat. They kept the drinks flowing which was a good thing. They had boat problems which resulted in us not leaving until around 10 AM. The crew said it would not affect what we would do because we would just come back later. But we were back around 2:30 PM. The whole cruise was supposed to be 8 hours long, but we barely did 4 hours. So I felt a bit ripped off because of that. Still, the experience of the snorkling was really nice, but if you think about it I could have gone on just a snorkling excursion and paid a lot less. So, it could have been better.

Very good catamaran tour with a friendly and fun crew. The sailing piece to the Aston shipwreck seemed a bit long, but thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Loved the calm waterfront and floating bar cooler--what an awesome memory. This bigger boat seemed to be newer and very comfortable too.

This cruise was not from 8am - 4pm. We were picked up from our hotel at 7:50 but didn't depart on the boat until 9am. We sailed for 3 hours to and from the ship wreck. We weren't able to see the ship wreck at all as the boat wasn't able to get close enough. In fact we were only a few feet from the swimming ropes set up by the nearest hotel, which was the one we were staying at. The largest slide on Punta Cana was a complete joke. It was a blow up slide on the beach next to the Jellyfish restaurant which is where we departed from. At 1:30 when we docked so people could go on the giant slide, our group packed up and headed back to our hotel. We felt like our time had been wasted. From 8am - 1:30 the only thing we accomplished was 45 mins of snorkeling and no lunch. This trip was not worth the $84 each for our group of 10. This was supposed to be a "thank you" to our friends who came to Punta Cana for our wedding. I was completely embarrassed and would have preferred to have stayed the day at our resort instead of going on this excursion.

It was low key. The crew was friendly and informative. Had a different vision of the big slide and the natural pool - thought a slide would drop me into an inland pond. Wish I had flippers when snorkeling.

It was lots of fun, a nice day to spend on the water! Only about 23 of the people on board did the snorkelling, but those that did seemed to really enjoy it. Lots of drinks available on board and they take your safety seriously. All in all it was a great day!

Fabulous trip from start to finish. Our host and his crew were amazing, and we were very well taken care of. The weather was not good, so there was no snorkling--it was deemed too dangerous to be out there. Obviously out of anyone's control. We still had a fabulous day, and it was not cut short because of no snorkling. The lunch was absolutely delicious, very tasty and fresh. If you are planning a day on a catmaran, book Tropical Storm, you won't be disappointed.

This trip was great. They picked us up at a nearby hotel and we had a nice day on the boat. The staff was beyond nice and thankfully we had great weather. Good music, all you can drink, swimming and snorkeling with the fish felt like being in "Finding Nemo"! There's a huge slide and lunch was good - we're still trying to figure out the recipe for the tuna salad. Just remember to bring plenty of sunblock and apply it often.

A fun day trip - although the visit to the shipwreck was pretty useless - you get the same view from shore. Basically it's just an excuse to cruise around and drink rum, which isn't a bad way to spend a day. The snorkeling was pretty rough but that's not their fault.

We were six ladies and we had a ball! You should tell people that they need to bring some money; they offered custom souvenirs, and we were not really aware and didn't bring much money, so we had to pool our resources! You should tell people in the description! The staff was fun and friendly, and we just loved it all! More snorkeling would have been nice, too. We saw the wreck and thought we were going to snorkel there, but we went to another place which was very good.
