Blue Lagoon and Gulfoss and Geysir Express Tour from Reykjavik

Blue Lagoon and Gulfoss and Geysir Express Tour from Reykjavik

Reykjavik, Iceland

Combine two tours in one for the perfect Icelandic experience: relax at the Blue Lagoon in the morning, then spend the afternoon touring Gulfoss, Geysir and other Icelandic natural phenomena. Perfect if you don't have much time at your disposal and want to make the most of your visit to Reykjavik.

The Blue Lagoon is a unique geothermal spa in a lava field south of Reykjavik. You'll have several unguided hours here to do as you please. Perhaps you'll take a relaxing bath or massage in the milky blue-green water of the huge outdoor lagoon. The waters have curative powers, and the sensation of lying in a warm outdoor spa surrounded by snowfields is uniquely relaxing.

Choose from a regular bathing experience (from 30 EUR, payable locally) or upgrade to an exclusive bath for a touch of luxury. Swimming costumes, towels and bath robes are available for hire. If you'd prefer not to bathe, perhaps you'd like to take a walk in the Blue Lagoon's spectacular surroundings.

In the afternoon, the tour continues from Reykjavik with the Gulfoss and Geysir Express half-day trip. The tour begins with a visit to Thingvellir, a geologically unique place where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. The Icelandic parliament Alpingi was established here in 930, and in 2004 Thingvellir was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List.

You will also see the majestic and beautiful waterfall Gullfoss, the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur. After a visit to the village of Hveragerdi, with its large greenhouses cultivating all manner of fruit, vegetables and flowers, the tour returns to the capital.

My first visit to the lagoon and I can't wait to go back!!!!!!!! Amazing!

Very good trip. The blue Lagoon was even better than expected and the fact that we were the first coach to arrive made all the difference. The Gulfoss waterfall and Geyser were both amazing. Our tour guide was very informative and interesting with an almost continuous running commentary.

My 3 stars is because either Viator or the company that ran the tour booked our tour for *January 14*, even though our voucher clearly stated *February 14* and we didn't even book the tour until 2/7. Because I had experience with IE, and knew that they are a very timely company, when they still hadn't shown up 15 minutes to departure, I became concerned and called. Viator and IE were very quick to resolve the issue and I was able to see go to the tour...but my advice to future travelers is to definitely call if you haven't been picked up 20 minutes prior.

the blue lagoon is a definite must. I would have given this 5 stars except for the fact that this was actually 2 tours back to back, so instead I actually had to go back to Rekjavik after the lagoon and then get on another tour for the geysir express tour. It would have been better if it was just continuous, less time wasted travelling back and forth.

Was very happy with everything I got to see. Granted it was rushed and didn't get to spend alot of time in some places, but there was alot to see in a short period of time.

The scenery was incredible and the guide was extremely informative. She was constantly telling us historical facts while we were travelling from one attraction to another. This made the time fly by. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The Blue Lagoon was amazing and a must do, though Viator really just provided transportation. However, for the Gulfoss and Geysir Express tour we had an incredibly knowledgeable guide. He provided a lot of history and context that added great value to the tour.

A great trip that made for a special day overall. The Blue Lagoon is a one-of-a-kind experience that is absolutely not-to-be-missed whilst the visits to Gulfoss and Geysir were both interesting and valuable to those wanting to know a little more about Reykjavik and Iceland's history, especially if you get a great guide like we were fortunate too!

Blue Lagoon was an extraordinary experience. The Geysir Express Tour was cancelled because we were told it was the same as the GOLDEN CIRCLE tour which ABC TOURS HAD ALREADY JPROVIDED US WITH. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT I WAS NOT CHARGED FOR THESE TOURS!!!! GERALDINE MARKOWITZ

The Blue Lagoon was really nice and well worth visiting. To book the other tour as well may be too much as I thought going to the Blue Lagoon was enough.

Trip was great. Definitely recommend if only have a short time in Iceland. Beware though that entrance to the Blue Lagoon is not included and this costs an extra 4600isk each! Blue Lagoon a must. Fantastic to see the Geysirs and Gulfoss waterfall. Would have given 5 stars if had been made aware of the extra costs for the Blue Lagoon.

I would definitely recommend this trip, although I have to say that I didn't think they allotted enough time during the afternoon portion to the gulfoss and geysir - I felt like visits were rushed, and I would have liked a little more time to visit the attractions - making the gulfoss/geysir trip a full day experience would definitely be my recommendation. Overall, though, there was a knowledgeable guide, and I did still have a very good time.

Excellent trip! We were in Reykjavik for the weekend so this was the perfect trip for us as it felt like we got to see so much in one day! Our tour guide was very informative and helpful and the general organisation of the trip was great. Going to the Blue Lagoon first thing in the morning was brilliant as it was really quiet. If you are going on this trip bring sandwiches with you as there isn't really an opportunity to stop for lunch.

When reading the information on this trip it appeared that it is an all day trip but that is not the case. We caught the bus to the Blue Lagoon and then had to catch the bus back to Reykjavik, before another bus in the afternoon to Gulfoss falls and the Geysirs. It is sold as having a tour guide all day however this is not the case, and we were not told that there would not be a stop for something to eat until about 3.30 pm. When we stopped at Gulfoss we had 40 minutes to view the falls and have something to eat, which was not really long enough

Did not like having to drive all the way back to Reykjavik after the blue lagoon. Would have prefferred to have lunch there and continue on the afternoon trip.

Express Tour was great although I'm under the impression we passed one of the places without stopping. Guide was really funny and knows a lot! Ideal if you don't want to spend too much time sightseeing but still want to do the main places. As for the Blue Lagoon, the time allowed was really short - 1 hour and something - this was enough for us but would have been great to have more time and not have to rush! Company doing the tour is great, super organisation! Recommend warmly the tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would definitely recommend it. The facilities at the Spa are excellent and well maintained and would have loved to spend more time but were restricted due to booking on to another tour straight after. There was no time even to grab a quick lunch before embarking on the afternoon tour.

We where not told that after the blue Lagoon we had to go back to Reykjavik to catch another coach for the express tour so we did not have time for lunch. I would not do these 2 on the same day as we did not get enough time at the blue Lagoon, it was too rushed. You also need to update the picture of the blue lagoon on your site, as its so much better than the out of date picture shown

A great couple of trips. Timed to perfection these tours nmesh together perfectly. The Blue Lagoon is something that you really should do if you find yourself in Reykjavik it's a sereen and enjoyable way to chill. Our guide on the Gulfoss & Geysir tour was informative and entertaining and seemed to really enjoy his job. Give this tour a go and you won't be dissapointed.

Fantastic experience but slightly costly considering. We arrived at the lagoon while still dark, and this made the trip even more enjoyable. Coach transfers were OK, but more information could have been given regarding the changing over from one bus to another during the day. Take flip flops to the lagoon as the decking is freezing. Gulfoss and Geysir are very close together, so no worries about long travel times, but take some refreshments as it is a long day and no food is provided. There are canteen and cafe stops along the way, but they are expensive. Best advice is if staying in a hotel that provides breakfast, make up some sandwiches before the coach picks you up. All in all, a great day with some fantastic scenery.

This was a brilliant day. The Blue Lagoon was beautiful, had about 2 hours there, could've spent longer; however, this was plenty of time to see and experience the lagoon. Great facilities also--cafe, spotless changing areas, hairdryers, toiletries etc. The afternoon was great if you only have a short time in Iceland, the geysers and waterfalls are pretty stunning, as is the scenery during the journey. Very efficient tour, excellent tour guide, definitely would recommend this.

It was annoying having to wait probably 10 minutes for the tills to open. But otherwise, it was an amazing experience. We were probably lucky to find few others at that time, I expect it is normally rather crowded. Most enjoyable!

Superb experience of all the tours. Glacier walking was very good, but not for inexperienced above 60, which should mentioned in the brochure. Would be nice to have a bit simpler walk. The guides were both superb very helpful and supportive.

The name of the tour operator should have been provided by Viator as a couple of other tours also collected from our hotel, and as we didn't know the operator, we had to check with all the drivers to ensure we were on the right tour coach. Also, perhaps it should have been mentioned by Viator in their information that we would have to get off the coach at the tour operator office. We had a short wait whilst other people from other hotels arrived by minibus and then were directed to the coach for our tour._br /__br /_The trip, however, completely lived up to our expectation. The Blue Lagoon was fantastic, and you are dropped off there just as it opens so you have are ahead of any crowds. We had two hours there, enough time to spend well over an hour in the lagoon, and a bite to eat in the cafe. The coach took us back to the tour operator's office, where we had another short wait to pick up another coach for the Gulfoss and Geysir Express Tour. The scenery is really diverse and the tour guide gave us lots of information and even a story about Iceland's "hidden people"! Pingllar where the North American and Eurasian plates meet is stunning scenery, as is the spectacular Gulfoss waterfalls, and the Geysirs spouted on cue too. There were plenty of stops for comfort breaks and to buy something to eat and souvenirs. All in all a long and exhilarating day that I would definitely recommend.
