Golden Circle Super Jeep Tour and Snowmobiling

Reykjavik, Iceland

This action-packed all-day trip from Reykjavik allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland's most famous and exciting natural phenomena on board a specially designed Icelandic Super Jeep before taking a thrilling snowmobiling ride on Langjkull, Iceland's second largest glacier.

First stop is the Thingvellir National Park, which has a special place in the hearts of Icelanders for its historical importance and geological uniqueness. It was here that Iceland's first Parliament was founded in 930AD and the views from here over Iceland's rough terrain are stunning.

Continue along mountain tracks to experience the many bubbling and spouting hot springs at the geothermal area of Geysir. The geysers explode every few minutes and are an amazing spectacle. Next the jeep heads to the majestic double cascade waterfall of Gullfoss, where you can feel the spray of the glacial water on your face. The highlight of the trip gives you the chance to get even closer to Iceland's nature on an exhilirating snowmobiling tour on Langjkull, Iceland's second largest glacier.

After an action-packed day the jeep passes through the countryside en-route to Reykjavik, making a stop at the greenhouse village of Hverageroi, from where many of Iceland's vegetables are supplied. A truly memorable trip encompassing many of the natural wonders of this beautiful island.

Really enjoyed our trip, it was amazing and a great way to travel, only disappointment was that we never saw the National Park but we did stand on a volcano instead!

Outstanding day (9am-6pm) packed with very interesting sights and the snowmobiling was extra special due to our guides special passion for the glaciers. Well worth the cost.

One of the best tours I've taken. If you have one day in Iceland, this is the tour to take. Not only do you see all the incredible sites but you learn so much (perfect for those Geology geeks out there!) about the science behind what you are viewing but also you learn a lot about the culture/people. You also will not have any more fun than riding a snowmobile on a glacier!!

Disappointing this time! The guide didn't tell us anything, and even dropped us off to see something , then drove off - we had no idea what time or where we had to meet again! I did the 4x4 adventure a year ago witha friend and it was outstanding, your guide was brilliant! I decided to come back with my husband and after saying how good it was, booked this trip. It was a let down, but I'd do the 4x4 adverture again!

This was an excellent day out with a guide who cared that you had a good time. Full on fun packed day. Be ready to rock when you go off road they like to get in the spirit of the event by playing heavy metal music. Good fun dont go with anybody else book with these guys. Biggest company in Iceland and booking with Viator was cheaper than direct. The snowmobiling was brilliant. Dont worry about your clothes all is provided for you.

Superb guide with excellent commentary in English! Make sure you take VERY good gloves for the snowmobiling as it is incredibly cold!

This tour really made our weekend away. The waterfall took my breath away, the geysers were amazing and the snowmobiling was the icing on the cake! Our guide was so informative and made the trip even more special. We'll be back to try a few other tours with you!

The day's experience for both of us was wonderful. We were shown all the sites, ie. the Geysier, waterfall, glacier volcano and others. The guide was very good and gave just enough information but not overload. The snowmobile experience was good with the guides being very caring. I had a problem guiding the snowmobile and got into a panic, but the guide was there to sort me out and my daughter rode on her own and I became a passenger behind the guide. We were well kitted out with clothing to suite the temperature. It was a very full day and well worth the money.

Wow, what a great trip! Very skillful drivers, especially needed off road up the glacier. We had a lot of fun snowmobiling, very safety conscious people, which was good. All the stops were well planned and we had no more than 45 mins driving before we got out to stretch our legs for a walk, sights etc. Lunch and drink stop was factored into the day. Super jeeps were very comfortable, driver very funny, informative. Well worth spending the money and a great way to see the Golden Circle.

This was the best thing we did whilst in Iceland! The tour was excellent, interesting, and certainly value for money even though it may seem expensive. The guide was brilliant and I cannot fault the day. Taking a snow mobile over a glacier is a memorable and exciting experience and not to be missed!

An ok tour but jeep was VERY crowded - should have been 8 max on there, but in fact they managed to squeeze 13 onto the jeep! The air conditioning couldn't cope with the amount of people and the windows had condensation on them the whole day...couldn't see a thing out of them - not great for a sightseeing trip of Iceland which cost nearly 450 for 2 people! The snowmobiling was ok, not as good as I expected to be honest. It was disappointing for us as there was a complete whiteout when we did it, with no visibility at all - but otherwise if you get a good clear day I am sure it would be much better. All in all, a bit of a waste of money - we should have just done the regular tour on the big tour buses...would probably have seen more and been a lot better off financially! This is the first time I have been disappointed with a Viator tour, they are normally fantastic and great value for money.

A brilliant day. The guide was really great and gave us loads of interesting info all day. The geysers were awesome to see. Absolutely loved the snowmobiling, such good fun. Fairly expensive trip but well worth the money in my view.

Snowmobiling on the glacier with the fresh wind in your face (albeit with visors on your helmet if it gets too cold!) was an amazing experience and, despite the bleak terrain and cold conditions, made you glow inside. Being in touch with the elements far away on an Icelandic glacier is a great way of escaping the stresses and strains of the city.

The jeeps are fantastic and the snowmobiles are truly amazing. The scenery in February was stunning. Our guide was a funny, informative chap and a real 4x4 genius in the snow! I can't recommend this trip enough; book it now!

The Super Jeep Tour is a great way to spend a day in Iceland. Our driver was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The Snow Scooters were excellent. I had great fun on them, wizzing around on virgin snow, we knew we were the only people that had been there.
