Great fun. Lovely walk at night throught Rome. Meeting point was on main bus route, easy to find. I took tour with my 15 year old daughter, content appropriate and area felt safe. Tour guide was lovely and so much fun! Tour finished at the Castel Sant' Angelo on the bridge. Perfect for our short walk back to the hotel or to the bus/metro by Saint Peter's.

I wasn't a huge fan of this tour. I thought it would include ghost stories and be scary, but it was mostly just legends of different things that happened. My least favorite part was that the tour gets done really late and nowhere near a metro stop. I went on a Sunday, so by the time the tour was done, my only options were to wait for a bus or take a taxi back to my hostel.

Me and my parter really enjoyed this tour as it was very insightful in the history of Rome in a different way. Tour guide was great and really got into the spirit of the tour. Would definitely recommend this as it is a little different to other tours in Rome.

The tour was interesting but the stories were too long. More stops with shorter stories would have been better. We didn't get back to our hotel till 12:30. Late for having to get up and catch the early train to Florence the next day.

Not very much in the way of ghosts or mystery, just a history of Rome's darker past. Would have enjoyed a more suspenseful tour, this was more of a night walking tour looking at certain areas of ancient Rome. Guide was knowledgeable and nice, though.

My husband and I very much enjoyed this tour. It was off the beaten track, so to speak, and our tour guide, Graham was fantastic! The stories behind Rome are amazing and this tour took you through parts of Rome that other tours miss. The guide was knowledgeable and was a great story teller! I highly recommend this tour. He told a story of Bruno is Campo di Fiori that the other tour guides didn't...this tour focuses on the not so fairy tale stories behind Rome.

This was an excellent experience. Graham our guide was a great story teller, he took us round the hidden away piazzas and streets of Rome and shared history of misbehaving popes, murderers, monks in such an enthusiastic way. We loved it!

I was expecting better stories on this tour seeing as you'd think that a lot of interesting things and murders would have happened in Rome. It was only ok, the guide Massimo was good and enthusiastic. Maybe include more stories in the tour as we only had about 4 and they took ages to be told. Make sure you know how to get back to your hotel too because it ends late at night and we didn't know where we were once the tour ended and assumed we'd finish where we began. Ghost tour in Venice is much better.

We were overall disappointed by this tour. It would have been better if listening devices were provided so that we could hear the tour guide talk about the area as we traveled. A lot of ground was covered without hearing any history/stories of the area.

My partner and I attended the Dark Rome walking tour on our 2nd night in Rome to get our bearings and learn some of the history. First up, I recommend you ignore any negative reviews complaining that this wasn't a "Ghost tour" as per their expectations. I consider this the unfortunate result of ignorant, uninformed tourists who did not do their research nor were able to appreciate the difference in cultural definitions. Yes the supernatural stories and information are more "folklore / urban legend" based and is not technically a "ghost-hunt", but when you consider the religious beliefs and background of your location, can you really expect a "Most Haunted" or "Ghost Adventure" style tour of ghost-story information?

It was a great to experience Rome late in the evening, and hear stories one couldn't probably find in ordinary travel books. The tour took about 2 hours, and our guide Massimo was so enthusiastic and really knew what he was talking about.He took us in alleys and squares where a tourist would rarely find himself. In my opinion the stories are quite scary, so this tour may not be suitable for kids under 12 ys. But for adults it is more than worth the money spent!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! It was great to hear more of the deeper and darker side that Rome once was. Our guide, Jeremiah, did a fantastic job. He was very knowledgeable about all of the sites that he took us to, did a great job narrating along the way, and made it fun for everyone. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to get off the beaten path and see the darker side of things.

Very informative..excellent guide...really enjoyed and told friends going to Rome that this is a must do activity..at the end of the tour the guide ensured we all were safe and helped us to know how or where to catch busestrains etc...and very helpful. he also stayed back to chat with people in his own time..something we have never seen a guide do. Thankyou it was our last night in Rome and made it special for us.

My twin daughters are studying in Paris and we decided to take a trip to Rome. We booked the Ghost Walk and enjoyed it very much. Our guide was a great story teller and he took us to places in Rome that we definitely would not have seen. A good tour. We took it on Halloween night which made it all the better. The guide was very knowledgeable and acted some of the stories out. It was a walking tour but he knew all the great short cuts so we were around the city in an amazing amount of time. I wish we had the listening devices like all of the other Viator tours we took. Great time.

Our first night in Rome we did the Ghost and Mystery Walking tour. Our guide made the tour exciting and enlightened us with a history of Rome you don't learn about. If you have a night free, do the tour, you will be surprised at what you learn. Young Beatrice will be with me forever and if you do the tour you will understand why.
