Explore Rome at your own pace on an extensive hop-on hop-off itinerary through the heart of Rome. The buses are open top which allows you to enjoy full 360 degree panoramic views as you travel along your route. You have the choice of a 24 or 48 hours ticket with which to make use of all the stops in the most beautiful, cultural and evocative areas of the Eternal city. The tour operates 365 days per year.

The buses are equipped with a personalized throwaway audio system which functions in 6 different languages, providing recorded commentary throughout the tour. There is also an English and Italian speaking host onboard each bus to assist with any queries. You will be provided with a set of earphones which you keep and use for the duration of your ticket.

The double decker green bus departs Termini Station every 15 to 20 minutes giving you plenty of opportunities to explore each stop in detail. If you were to stay on the bus for the entire loop, it would take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Seasonal, April to October. If you purchase the 48 hour bus ticket, you also have the option to add a 24 hour hop-on hop-off Rome cruise. It's a great way to enjoy Rome and move effortlessly around the city, especially in high season. We did not think the Hop-on Hop-off double decker bus tour was worthy of the money we paid for. Some of the stopping sites are not at the tour site. It took too long to run one round on the bus. Rome is not a large place. We found out we could walk to some interesting sites quite easily and took less time than the bus. The weekend route is different from the regular route, which creates confusion and inconvenience.

The only way to see Rome if you are only there fro a limited time. We had a 48 hour pass which worked really well for us. We never had to wait for a bus and we hopped on and off several times during the weekend. Have already recommended to friends who are visiting in May

The open top bus is a great way to start your tour of Rome! You can get your bearings and decide which of the numerous attractions you wish to explore in more detail, which you can do easily with the 'hop on hop off' system. Our only criticisim of theRome open Tour is that it sat for long periods at certain points on the tour, it was not waiting for tourists to get on or off but appeared to be waiting for drivers. Overall a good experience and we would use them again.

The bus trip was fantastic, only hic cup is when you book on line and then they would only accept a paper copy of the booking, therefor we had to run to Internet cafe to print off.... Frustrating when your traveling

The tour was great. My only issue is that they need to run more buses. The wait for a bus shouldn't be more than 15-20 minutes. Our bus was 40 minutes late.

This is an easy tour to take as there are several places to start the tour and you can get off at any of the stops to look around and just pick the next bus to get on when you are ready.

I was with my 87 year old mother who is spry but gets tired trudging around Rome. We used the Hop-on Hop-Off well. In the middle of each day, we just got on and rode virtually all the way around viewing Rome from the top level, then got off rested and ready go. Good investment.

Excellent way of seeing Rome, especially first time round. Limited leg room, unless you get the seats at the front but generally a good service. We did the full circuit, the full time to get our bearings and then used the service to go to various sites that we wanted to visit.

This was a waste. Bust stopped ever 2 stiops for 20 minutes. Watched another tour companies bus pass us 3 times. The earphone jacks didn't work.

It was our first time in Rome and the bus afforded us the opportunity to see a lot of the busy city easily.We were then able to choose which sites we would return to later. The Boat option was useful as it offered a different and interesting perspective of the metropolis.In the late afternoon the bus enabled the sightseeing to continue even with our tired feet!

The bus was crowded - although we founded it satisfactory some people were turned away and couldn't get on at one stop. -The commentary was in written not spoken language and had very superficial and limited information. Where were the stories? The boat trip commentary said there were a thousand stories surrounding the Tiber - we didn't hear one! The commentary was banal and boring.

Is perfect for the first time visitor. You get to see the city without getting lost. Next time, I would take the time to do a 2 day tour, but this one covers the basics and gives you enough time to just touch on the main attractions.

A great way to see the city - bus stops are hard to find at first so recommend when you find one - do the full tour and make notes about where all the stops are before you go exploring. Don't forget your hat and sun screen coz you will want to sit up top and it does get hot in JuneJuly Only downer was some of the audio jacks didn't work on a number of buses and the timetable finishes to early in the evening. Rome's just getting going and the buses stop - so it's either walking or the Metro
