Your tour will commence from Mirabell Square and take you through Mozarteum, the new part of the City, then continue to Mozart's Residence. Continue over the Staatsbrucke into the baroque Old Town with its resplendent Dome and the festival quarter.

Passing the Nonnberg Abbey you will see Castle Leopoldskron, used as the von Trapp family home in the film, 'Sound of Music'.

You then have the option to take the elevator up to Restaurant M32 from where you will enjoy magnificent views of the city of Salzburg over traditional Austrian coffee and cake. Lastly the tour will return to Mirabell Square.

this was disappointing in that the restaurant providing the dessert and coffee was closed on the day of our tour so we had to use a voucher the next day for that part of the tour. We were transported in a small van with minimal view out of the windows and only one stop along the way to really see what was being pointed out. Von Karajan's house was pointed out and it was away from where we were...the dialogue abour history of Salzburg was informative. The dessert/coffee opiton is great becasue of the view - that is really the panorama of Salzburg; not this tour.

Probably one of the worst city tours I had. We could not hear the tour-guide well in the tour bus, we all complained about the sound system. She was driving and talking at the same time, so she was not concentrating well. In my opinion, it was a waste of time and money.. Instead go to the Ice Caves!

The tour was too short. The tour guide had to translate in both English and German which was a bit cumbersome. Would have preferred to be on a bus with just English speaking persons.

Quick and dirty oversight to the city. Do it and you can then return to sights knowing where, why, and how to visit each main sight. "This is smart travel sense ...if you are short on time"

Worth doing. It is short and gives good overview of the city. We were in Salzburg only for an afternoon and it was a well spent 1 hour.

The tour could have been better. A walking tour of the old city should also have been included, and the tinted windows of the minibus certainly didn't help as the day was cloudy.

Very Interesting, and we learnt a lot of background information about Salzburg. We had an excellent tour guide and it was great to have the oppourtunity to walk around the frozen lake, however, there was a slight compromise as two languages had to be spoken.
