I thought the tour was great! However, I was disappointed that we did not go to the other palace used for the front of the house when we could've walked down the road and met the bus on the other side. I also wished we would have been able to go to the abbey - I thought it would cover more than it did. Luckily, the town is so small, we were able to reach the places left out after the tour was over but it would've been nice to get to go to those and hear the information.

Very nice tour. Peter was our Guide and had many stories to tell and made it very enjoyable. Time was a bit short on Monsee, but all in all, it was worth the money.

Guide and driver were both approachable and knowledgeable. A section of the Mirabell Gardens where Do Re Mi song was filmed, was closed when we visited on our own after the tour. Mondsee was nice and romantic, fun reliving childhood nostalgia scenes from movie. Listened to some songs from soundtrack and special 40th anniversary edition of DVD. Overall enjoyable and worth doing!

Tour guide was exceptionally pleasant, although he did not appear to know that Nonnberg Abbey WAS used in the film (he passed it off as being filmed in a studio). Tour information is misleading, as it appears that you do go to the Abbey, however you just have it pointed out from the bottom of the hill. It is more just a lake district tour - beautiful as it is - rather than a detailed SOM tour.

This tour was absolutely hilarious - full of humour and merry quips. My husband was reluctant to come but was reassured by our lovely guide 'not to worry as it would all be over in 4 hours'. In the end he thoroughly enjoyed it too!

I booked The sound of Music tour online before departing UK. I was very pleased. We were picked up at our Hotel 20 mins before the tour started. The tour was excellent, our tour guide was the best I have to say. I am sorry I can't quite remember her name. Elea......something. I would go again, great value and not rushed. Highly recomend

Should simply call itself Sound of Music handouts. Only stopover in 3 locations, the whole "tour" was in the bus listening to the narration which is no difference from the video that was later shown at the end of the "tour". Definitely a rip-off and will not recommend this at all.

The coverage of the locations was good as it gives a good sampling of the places featured in the show. But for such a tour, you expect your guide to be more enthusiastic and more knowledgeable about the movie. In all it is pretty bland.

Great tour, funny and friendly guide. The views on the bus are just magnificent, I recommend you see the movie before going on the tour so that it is fresh in your mind. The guide refers to scenes from the movie quite often during the tour. I would go again on this tour if I have another chance.

I recommend this tour since I saw with my own eyes some of the wonderful places where the film was shot,although I was disappointed not to see the convent of the nuns, where Maria was a novice. Moreover, the tour guide gave us a detailed information of how the film was actually shot. Apart from this the scenery is marvellous. It was really an enjoyable experience.

The tour was very informative. It not only went into details of behind the scenes facts about the movie, locations, actors, and real people but it also went into great detail about the city, it's people, culture and surrounding area. The drive into the country and visit to the mountain towns and lakes was awesome in its beauty and the tour guide was jovial and well spoken.

This tour was perfect! We were able to stop and take photos in front of the iconic sights in the film the gazebo, the back of the Van Trapp house, and the church where Maria and the baron were married. We also got out to see some beautiful sights in the countryside surrounding Salzburg. Four hours was a good length of time for this tour and is really the best way to see sights outside of Salzburg if you are not renting a car.

Very quick overview, but very worthwhile! Make sure that you do this one early and plan on spending the afternoon finding the other sites that they tell you about but are not on the actual tour.

even though singing on the bus was a bit silly, we completely enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was great and gave alot of fun new info. about the movie. We also really loved the scenery and strolling through the town of Mondsee. Wish we had more time in Mondsee. Would highly recommend this tour.
