This tour is just right for someone that has just one day in San Francisco. I wouldn't have known where to start if I was seeing the sights on my own. _br/_ The Alcatraz part was just right to see the prison and find out some history of the island, _br/_ The city tour visited many of the highlights of San Francisco, If you want to go back to spend more time in any of these areas you will need another day or more. _br/_ We got droped off back on Pier 39 and had a relaxing dinner and did a little shopping in the evening. It was a busy day and we saw alot more than we could have on our own. And our City Tour bus driver was THE BEST!!!!

Wonderful way to get a feel for the city--we knew exactly where we wanted to revisit! And the Alcatraz tour is absolutely amazing, and so well done. I wanted to get back in line and go again! The weather did not cooperate, so the city tour was blurred by raindrops on our bus windows. But, we got plenty of good photos later in the week. Take a raincoat and/or umbrella!

Brilliant Day trip and our driver/guide was excellent. Fabulous way to get to know San Fran and it's distinctive character. The Alcatraz audio tour is a must and you really get to find out how it all was back then in the prison's hey day. San Fran is a wonderful city and this tour allows you to then know which places you want to go back and spend more time in.

I was expecting guided tour to Alcatraz. We were dropped off at the Pier and had to find our way . Also did not offer long enough break between San francisco tour and Alcatraz to eat.

Excellent in every way. We were on the "gold" bus that was about to be repainted to conform to new laws. Tourguide / driver was Greg. Extremely knowledgeable with facts and vignettes that added to the tour. An EXCELLENT viewing of all the best spots, from the best vantage points, he went out of his way to make the trip very enjoyable. BEST way to "get your bearings" in a new city (for me, at least, a first time visitor). Money extremely well-spent. We had numerous stops provided along the way to stretch legs and take photos. Lots of history and anecdotal stories from our tourguide added to the overall experience. The Alcatraz tour afterwards was superb also. What a City ! The people of SanFran have a lot to be justifiably proud of.

We found this trip highly enjoyable! We only had two days in the city so wanted to see everything and this trip was PERFECT! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip all the more enjoyable with his brilliant personality. We really liked how the trip was kept moving and we were given just the right amount of time in each place. The only fault I would have is we didn't have any time between finishing the city tour and Alcatraz to have lunch which was a bit annoying. Overall a brilliant experience and i will definitely be recommending this trip to others.

The tour guide was great and very knowledgable. The staff were all great and worked with us even when we got stuck in traffic and were late. Highly recommended, I just wish that we would have stopped in more areas, rather than just drive through, such as Chinatown. Great company and great tour otherwise.

Great day at Alcatraz, very cold though! Bring warm clothes. Learnt lots about San Francisco too. Make sure you're on time otherwise the drivers will leave without you as some people on our tour found out!

Fantastic tour, although it is on a large bus, it was still a very good tour, takes you to all the points of interest. Alcatraz is done by a separate company, so makes for a long day to do both in the one day. If you are not short for time, I would suggest you do on different days. Highly recommend this tour, was very interesting and informative.

We were very pleased with our city tour. The accommodations were perfect. Unfortunately there were some issues with two of the locations included in the tour, one being that the main part of the park was closed and traffic detoured and the other being that Union Square was jammed with holiday traffic so we were unable to access either of these locations. Our bus driver did everything he could to get the most out of the tour for us, but some things were just beyond his control. The tour was very enjoyable and extremely informative...I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. The Alcatraz part of the tour was also fantastic. The bus driver made sure we got where we needed to be, gave great recommendations as to where to eat and the time frame involved. The tour itself was a once in a lifetime experience. Again I would strongly recommend this tour package to anyone interested in seeing San Francisco and the surrounding parts in a very comfortable and informative way.

Excellent! Tour was well organised, lots of information about San Fran and taken to see all the sights. Excellent trip to start off your San Fran journey to get a feel for the place and see all the main sights then choose what you want to go back and see on your own, or a great trip to do if you are pushed for time. Alcatraz was excellent, this company does not take you to alkatraz you are just given your ticket and dropped off and picked up from the pier. However this is still hassell free as you dont have to wait with everyone else in line to buy tickets which sell out sometimes days in advance! The bus tour around the city was comfortable and you had plenty of time at each stop to have lots of photos and even time to walk quite a way over the bridge! Definitely recommend trip.

All scheduled pick-ups were on time. Drivers were very helpful and informative. The tour of San Francisco was exactly what we needed. The tour of Alcatraz was dramatic and met our expectations. We were returned to our hotel with a minimum of fuss. A very good day.

What an amazing tour! Especially if you are jet lagged and a 'newbie' to San Francisco!! We arrived from the UK the day before so we wanted to see the City and get a 'feel' of what SF had to offer. Our driver - wish I could remember his name - was SO good and knew the answers to any questions asked. We had an added bonus as we drove over the Golden Gate bridge to the opposite car park as the one on SF side was full. The stops we made gave us time to take many lovely photos and top up with refreshments. Our driver gave us plenty of info as to get the best use of the public transport system so we could go back and see any of the tour highlights plus more if we wished. The Alcatraz tour was the icing on the cake. And a must for any one visiting SF. We took the audio tour which was interesting and informative and very haunting to hear the guards and Ex prisoners talking about their experiences on 'The Rock'. Being able to return to the main land at our leisure was a great idea as we could take as long as we wanted looking around without the stress of worrying about catching the coach back. All in all a great in sight into SF and finishing up on Alcatraz was a perfect end to a perfect day.

Good commentary and saw sights not on the Hop on Hop Off Bus. Had time at Golden Gate Bridge to walk up to the first main upright. Also had time for a quick restaurant lunch before going to Alcatraz which was extremely interesting with a very good audio.

Great trip, the guide for the city tour was superb and really made the day special. The city tour was a great way of seeing all the major sights so that you could pick which ones you wanted to go back and investigate in more detail. Alcatraz is simply magnificent and the audio tour was chillingly good. The rangers on the island have a wealth of knowledge and give talks free of charge about the prisoners and the island, if you have time make sure you listen, that and the audio tour made our trip to alcatraz memorable.
