The meal was very nice - a good way to start the trip. The tour of Chinatown was interesting and really informative - a lot better than doing it ourselves. After the tour of Chinatown, the guide took us to 'treasure island' for night views of San Francisco and the Bay Bride - amazing views and a lovely way to end the evening.

This tour is a must!!! The restaurant is really interesting, with delicious food. During the tour don't forget to ask to be passed by the fortune cookies alley, our tour guide has really funny stories to tell, you will enjoy it.

We felt the meal was rushed, and it would have been better to have the walking tour first as we missed the experience of the fortune cookie factory. Tour by bus OK, but made a very late night. Bus driver very informative. Tour was a good value.

This was an excellent tour. First of all we were picked up by bus and dropped off at the Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately there was only an hour to eat the lovely meal. I would note that the dishes were put on a revolving tray so grab what you can. After the meal, the tour guide who was Chinese but born in San Francisco took us round all the Chinese Quarter. It is hilly and a lot of walking and standing around so bring comfortable shoes and a warm coat if touring in October, like us. The tour guide made it very interesting and enjoyable to all, even taught us some Chinese - can't remember it now though! I do remember the significance of the colours - red, green and yellow. After the tour it was back on the bus and the driver took us over the bay bridge and also told us a few interesting tales about San Francisco. He was enthusastic about his city and this added to the tour. Definitely recommend this one!

Waste of time. We saw plenty of back streets and souvenir shops, no main gate or sights.

The food was preselected for you, which didn't thrill me, but there was a large selection of items to choose from: beef, two chicken dishes, and shrimp lo mein._br /__br /_The tour guide was wonderful. A very nice and funny man, who even spent extra time showing the group around. Which may have annoyed the bus driver, but he was also very amiable and even picked me up at my hotel._br /__br /_You see the behind-the-scenes of Chinatown, learn the history, see the poverty and struggle of the workers, etc. Very eye-opening to someone who loves learning and new cultures. Also saw a small fortune cookie factory and the city's skyline. Lots of photo opportunities. Definitely worth attending.

I did not like the set up of dinner. I thought we could have dinner on our own or free time. Not sitting in a restaurant on tables, found it very awkward. The walk was fine but felt it was a bit long and drawn out at times. And there was an emphasis on shopping when we were told it was not a shopping tour. Less focus on TV shows that UK and Australian audiences do not see or watch. The guide and the bus driver were very knowledgeable and helpful though.

Dinner was nice but rushed. All I learned was how tough it was to be Chinese in San Francisco's Chinatown.

This tour was a real eyeopener. Having the meal first was a good way for the group to become familiar with each other, it certainly broke the ice. The restaurant was an excellent choice and the food was delicious and plenty of it for our group of eight. Our navigator certainly new his history and entertained us too, which was a good way for us to remember some of the things he told us. We had spectacular views from the other side of Bay Bridge and its history. The whole tour was excellent well worth the money.

We were very pleased and surprised with this tour. The gentleman who was our walking tour guide did an excellent job of presenting Chinatown and the people who live there. Their lives, their living conditions, and their hopes and dreams. He was knowledgeable and amusing. The meal was middle of the road as far as variety of dishes presented. The coach tour of San Francisco by night was wonderful. The driver/narrator knew his stuff. We especially liked the opportunity to see San Francisco from Treasure Island. If you are looking for a tour that offers shopping, don't take this one. But, if you want to know more about Chinatown, this IS the tour for you.

Our tour guide was very informative and overall the tour was worthwhile. The meal, though, was average Chinese fare. We would have liked to try some more exotic things.
