Wonderful experience. Glad we went to Muir Woods early as it was very crouded later. Wish we could have stayed at Muir and Sausalito about 1 hr. longer, felt rushed. Boat cruise was awesome.

excellent tour, well timed and guide provided interesting highlights......_br/_ incredible day for the bay cruise, got great shots of Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and sea lions...only minor draw back we were not informed that the shuttle back to our hotel was at 5:30, three hours after tour ended, so, we took SamTrans and arrived back to airport hotel long before shuttle, with rush hour traffic

This tour was worth taking the time to do. Keep in mind the weather as we took the tour in mid August and it was very foggy. Tour conductors indicated July and August are typically the foggiest months of the year. Our tour guide talked the entire tour, which I liked because I like hearing about the history and background of what I'm seeing and where we are going. I will say, however, the very loud, chatty kids (ages 5-10) on the bus detracted from our enjoyment of the tour as there were times we couldn't hardly hear the tour guide even through his microphone. I would have enjoyed a little longer time in Sausalito as we only had one hour to get some lunch and do some shopping. By the time we ate lunch it was almost time to head back to the bus. I would still recommend this tour for older kids the older adults.

While the overall tour was great... was very disappointed that we were unable to stop to take pics of golden gate bridge. Our bus broke down on the side of the highway on the way to Muir Woods but they sent another bus out almost immediately - I do believe this was the reason we were unable to take the time to stop for pics of the bridge on the way back as our driver had another tour to pick up and the stop would have put him way behind. Great tour all in all BUT would have liked the chance to stop for pics.

We enjoyed everything other than it would have been nice to have had longer than 1 hour in Sausalito. We just about had time to find somewhere for lunch, order, eat and then back on the bus! Also, I didn't like that the bay cruise was pretty much a seperate excursion, and then we ended up making our own way back to the hotel from there.

The trip to muir woods was good but by the time we arrived in Sausalito , we were given 50 minutes to eat and leave .The only thing you could do was to grab fast food and board the bus.We were taken directly to the Pier where we finally got to go to the bathroom.We went to the area to take the cruise and was told the cruise had left a half hour before and the next one would be at 3 but If we paid an extra $20.00 we could take the 90 minute cruise . You could not here the tour guide and the only difference between the 60 and the 90 minute tour was twice around Alcatraz..

The Muir Woods are beautiful and the tour is well worth the time and money. We were given enough time to spend in the woods to really appreciate the beauty. We left the tour in Sausalito and enjoyed the town on our own at our own pace. Caught the Bay Cruise later in the day and really enjoyed it.

Muir Woods was breathtaking! The highlight of my time in San Francisco. If I have time again I would skip Sausalito and spend more time at Muir Woods. In a half day there wasn't enough time to do both justice. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed his commentary.

Muir Woods part of tour was well done and appropriate length. Sausalito part was too brief and seemed like a "token stop". It was disconcerting to have to wait over an hour for the Bay Cruise as it was a totally separate entity from the bus part of the tour. The bus driver was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

We had a great day. San Francisco is a lovely place but full of people and traffic. Being able to drive only a short while and end up in the middle of the quiet woods full of natural beauty was a perfect accompaniment to our trip. The driver was very knowledgable and we learned all kinds of neat tidbits about the area and John Muir as well. Sausalito is a pretty town with lots if cute shops. We stayed for about an hour and that was just long enough to stroll the main drag. Two things - the tomato soup at the Muir Woods gift shop is amazing and if you are at all afraid of heights, make sure to sit on the side of the bus that is not on the edge left going up and right coming down - it is a pretty steep drop! Would definitely recommend this trip to friends and would take it again.

On this tour we had an excellent drivertour guide who knew his subject and city well. He made the tour very worth while, with good organisation and frientliness. The one negative was the inadequate leg room on the bus - they have included one row too many, and subsequently there is less than adequate leg room for anyone other than very short people!

This tour starts in the morning at 9am so Golden Gate was covered with fog and Vista point stop was not there. Muir Woods is excellent. Sausalito, same fog and wasn't able to see much. We were signed up for the bay cruise but no one was there in our bus for the bay cruise. They just dropped us at Pier 39 and told us they will not pick us back up and we have to go by our own. It could have been better if this tour is in the afternoon. High chances will be there for no fog.

This was a wonderful tour! Our driver was very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information. If you have 4 hours to spare, the redwoods are really worth seeing. We also took the 4 hour city tour and that was excellent as well!

The tour was definitely well worth the money. We saw a lot in a short amount of time. The guide was well informed, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. I would recommend having a good breakfast though. There's not a lot of time for eating.

It was a great way to see Muir Woods and Sausalito. A great view of Golden Gate Bridge during the Bay cruise. The driver was so helpful with us in Muir Woods. Since we are Italian, we misunderstood the time of departure and he waited a bit for us. The time was enough to see Muir Woods and Sausalito. If you want to take great pictures of Golden Gate Bridge from the top, we suggest you to do the Deluxe Half day City Tour.
